On second thought maybe I would be better off paying you by the hour.

I will be returning to Kim & Kevin bar to see if I can still pass the exam. This bar is a landmark outside of Louisville, KY and it is fantastic he is keeping it in the family!! Kevin where do I apply to start a tabWe might be better off bartering... I know how much you drink but if we are going to buy the bar we might be needing a whole lot of legal advice.

I don't think he was drunk we just had one or two... that's our story and we are sticking to it ! Right @Bill Martin

Leap of Faith brother. Stay positive.
Don't forget there will be a "bar exam" - I do believe @Bill Martin can help with that!
Congrats bud, look at it this way, it's already slightly used!!!
Thanks guys, it's been a long 9 months of family drama getting to this point. And whether you all know it or not you guys have put a smile on my face at times when I really needed it. (if you knew my family you would understand).
Oh and @Shatneyman I'm glad you chose "slightly used" because "gently" would have been a huge understatement, if those walls could talk... -
That's awesome @Slunglow. I hope you win all that responsibility for yourselves. Keep us posted.
Thanks @WOLF our home was going to be paid off in 4 short years just in time for me to retire... I guess I can kiss that goal goodbye.
A home equity line of credit seems like the way to go... better interest rate than a commercial loan and a whole lot less fees. The plan is to keep my factory job and tackle some remodel projects at the bar in my spare time. She will be managing a group of therapists at the rehab center and managing the bar in her spare time.
It's gonna be a long 4 years, I sure hope it's all worth it. -
Speaking of the economy, Kim and I are certainly doing what we can to keep it going...
This morning we made a full cash offer on Hitching Post Inn the restaurant/bar that has been in my family for 45 years. The deadline on sibling/spouse only offers expires at midnight tonight. So we will either be celebrating our accepted offer or the fact that someone else in the family will be shouldering all of the stress of bar ownership. We shall see... -
I agree @Slunglow. He started at such a low point, thanks to Clinton's 8 yrs, he couldn't help but have it go up. I only brought that % thing up, because everyone is so excited and praising Trump. When Obama had the longest monthly streaks of job growth and stock market growth ever(records). He was hitting record Dow highs monthly. Many on here said he was doing "horrible, the worst ever". I was just reminding those folks where the "pathetically low bar Obama set was"
Again I know he started low, I know the Fed didn't raise interest but twice for a combined 1/2%. But starting in the gutter and hitting record highs in my book is a greater achievement than hopping on an up elevator and proclaiming you're great for getting to the next floor up.I agree @WOLF it's way too early to celebrate but IMO the stock market is one of the best indicators of economic optimism. And economic optimism is certainly running high at the moment so I think we can both agree to celebrate the moment and have high hopes it continues regardless of what is causing it.

Once the Dow hits 50,000, Trump will have hit the pathetic growth % of the DOW under Obama. Shhh. Don't tell the conservatives.
Yes but hopefully it will be true economic growth fueling the rally rather than our national debt rising due to the stimulus packages that falsely propped it up.

Malcolm must have owned a Slingshot. -
really wanted to take my sling to cycle town south in Lancaster, TX for recall work, but when I jumped in it yesterday and my power steering was out (no leaked fluid have no idea why power steering is out, 1st time jumping in it in about a month or so). I just jumped online to the dealer I bought it from to try and schedule a appointment to get all recall's done. The dealer is about 2 miles away...Cycle Town South is about 30 or so miles away...to far to drive with no power steering lol
If you leave your key on too long before you press the start button the ECU shuts off the electric assist steering to conserve battery power... Did you try shutting it off for a minute or two and give it another try ?

Why not 2021 ? Aren't we going to give him atleast 4 years just like we do the rest of them ?
-
Damn, Brother! I would've guessed $43 in your case!
-
I would venture to guess @Tango - V8 conversion alone is $25k
Yup... Hell I'm over $10K and most of mine were "gently used"

Huhmmm... Excuse me counselor but you used two "rambles" in your rambling.

Now that's funny .. I don't give a damn who you are
@Cameron Roberts you are an absolute genius... as of tonight my family's bar will now be serving a "Trump Margarita" : on the rocks with salt and a lime hanging from the "wall".

There is an organization in my home town that raffles off a new corvette every year.
All of the chances (tickets) are put into a tumbler and they draw one out at a time and write the number and name on a chalkboard. They usually give out swag as the number of chances left gets lower. The last one to be drawn out wins the Vette. I've seen it get down to three or four maybe it was five tickets left and guys start selling their chances... something is better than nothing right? I was in the last 50 one time won a little money and donated it back, it's a good cause. -
If politics hasn't been a sport of extremes for so many years I might not be so skeptical but if the last 18 months don't...nuthin will TRUST BUT VERIFY!! Is my motto
Hmmm "TRUST BUT VERIFY" damn Bill I should have borrowed that motto when I got married the first and second time...
