So you're saying theres a chance....
Display MoreEffective July 1st Florida took it a step further .... not defining an Autocycle as what it is manufactured as but rather defining what an Autocycle is ... so you change it beyond the definition, and it is no longer classified as an Autocycle in Florida ...
This directly addresses the question of modification to its form at any time and for all time it is registered in the state ....
"
(2) AUTOCYCLE.—A three-wheeled motorcycle that has two wheels in the front and one wheel in the back; is equipped with a roll cage or roll hoops, a seat belt for each occupant, antilock brakes, a steering wheel, and seating that does not require the operator to straddle or sit astride it; and is manufactured in accordance with the applicable federal motorcycle safety standards in 49 C.F.R. part 571 by a manufacturer registered with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Lol, and there are already numerous four wheeled vehicles out there available off of the show room floor that are so much better suited than trying to convert a SlingShot?
Bill
I respectfully disagree. For example...how does this reasoning differ from adding a roof when there are NUMEROUS vehicles with roofs? Ya feel me? Your SS is your SS. Go nuts! (Unless its illegal of course!)
I’m in central Illinois. Lincoln area.
Sent from my iPhone using Polaris Slingshot Info
Was that your SS at the Speedway? I think it was a black base? I was driving on 66, didn’t get a good look.
Who was at the races in Lincoln IL tonight? There was a base SS parked near a couple of other bikes. And one of the sales people at the Autozone tells me there’s someone from Lincoln who has an SS too! Identify yourself!
Ended up getting an extra bike...
Never mind, just read the last 10 pages of this thread... alllll of the info I needed.
@dangerdarrell thanks brotha. 315 35 20 or 316 30. 20? Price? Best place to get them?
@Ghost you definitely have the power, but the 18 SLR LE has the Bilstein shocks and a 345 will not fit with the 45 offset. You would have to shift to the left a bit to get it to fit.
I went with a 315 and love it. Iknow this becuase my 345 from my old sling would not fit on my new one.
Did you put the 315 on the SLR rims? Pics! Which tire? Any changes in speedo/handling/traction versus the 305?
Whats the turnaround time when you order a Welter exhaust?
I'm not on FB...I'll check the website. If the weather stays above 65 tomm I'll be on the boat, if not def will swing by!
The Stealth Boosted is $1795
It's available to order from our website. Just follow the link below
And select CAT Delete systems
Thanks!
This was from August 2017. I would get the stealth boosted to avoid having to change the exhaust when I eventually go supercharged....
Met you at imotorsports when I bought my SS last year. We emailed back and forth about a sound system but the wife vetoed it back then. Once I'm done with the go fast parts, we need to sit down and build a sound system.
And the stealth NA is 1495 now.
I don’t see the stealth boosted on the website?
Scott is that you?
Ended up calling @slingmods while I was at the dealer. Chris was very helpful. Basically: the JRI sport shocks are set at the sweet spot already. We both decided the guy at the dealer who told me that valve was for air maybe had som cognitive deficits...
Just had the JRI one way sport shocks installed. My dealer said they have to be filled with air and that’s why they have the valve on them?? Also do they come pre set? I’m not very happy with the “here you go, figure it out” tone I’m getting today from my dealer.
