PDFs of the service manual are alive and about. Not fair game on this forum.

Make friends. Or pay $$$. It isn't that much.

I understand that and do not question it.

That being said, it pisses me off to no end to think about the fact that I paid the better part of $30k for a brand new 2018 SS and they expect me to "purchase" a repair manual. It should be standard equipment with all new sales. With the help of God and the good people on this forum I hope I will not ever be forced to buy it!

What was the year models and applications for the engines with the sand cast blocks? (Which brand, model, and year)

I definitely want to go ahead and pick one up to start on for when my current engine bites the dust.

Also it would be helpful if someone with the knowledge and experience of these engines could advise how much they can safely be bored and or stroked and still remain a dependable daily driver with the SC installed. There is no replacement for displacement!

Inquiring minds would like to know! LOL

cbailey7a Boy is that a loaded quesion!

When we first got ours in Nov, I said it howled like a wolf!

Since I've installed the SC and 2.5" exhaust out the rear I seldom pay it any attention.

It is amazing how much quieter a loud exhaust makes the right angle drive. The Fosgate system helps too!

Just a note to think about.

Frequent Ejaculation May Be Good for Prostate. April 6, 2004 -- Frequent ejaculation, whether it happens during sexual intercourse, masturbation, or a dream, isn't likely to increase men's risk of prostate cancer. In fact, new research suggests it may have the opposite effect and help protect the prostate.

See, it could be viewed as a necessary medical procedure. Now show this to the "head" nurse! LOL

Gun control is "keeping it in the 10 ring"!

Here in Alabama we had our annual "BAMACARRY" Freedom Conference at the civic center in Jasper yesterday. We had a lot of great speakers there like the radio personality Michael Hart, Beth Alcazar, Dan Wos who is the author of "Good Gun Bad Guy, Erich Pratt from GOA, Willes Lee board member with NRA, Peter The Patriot, Jefferson County Sheriff Mike Hale (yes a high profile law enforcement guy who is adamantly supportive of our 2nd amendment rights), and a very impressive and out standing speaker named Krisanne Hall!

It was a great day in Alabama!

If you live in Alabama you should belong to BamaCarry. It is only $20.00 per year and we are the one's that are fighting in Montgomery to keep bad gun laws off our books! CARRY ONe!

    Welcome @cbailey7a !

I know your going to have a blast with your new SS and when you have questions this is the place to be!

I can save you a lot of trouble right off the batt.

Just go ahead and post up your cc number and mailing information where these guys and gals can get started helping you spend some of your hard earned money on the never ending mods that you are going to want to do. They have really good taste and are very adventurous so I know you'll be impressed with all that they buy you with your money! LOL

Looking forward to seeing pic's of your new ride and hearing about the great times you have with it!

Kits will be ready to be ordered by this Monday. Orders will be shipping by Friday Feb. 16th 2018.

Final pricing will be up before orders will be taken.

Are you going to go back through this thread and fill orders by who ever spoke up first or are you going to open up the availability to order them and let it be first come first serve.

Personally I don't have an issue with either, just wondering how ordering will be handled.

@Ghost - how cool! You can hide your own Easter eggs!

I can!!!! And if and when I find them all I have to do is make a mental note where they are and plan to come back and pick them all up at once. Then in 15min I can start hunting all over again! LOL

I meet so many new friends every day. Some of them act like they know me but I'm not so sure. LMAO

Understand that I am old! The one thing that I do better than anything else at my age is forget!

Keep "re"posting whatever you like. It will likely be new news to me every time! LMAO

    Thanks for the reply William!

I don't currently have any communications in the SS at all save for my "un" trusty cell phone. The first ordered of business is to get some bike to bike communications then maybe a 2meter/440 dual band with the remote head. I know there is a ton of digital stuff out there but I'm an old man set in my ways and I have not yet learned to like the "digital stuff".

Been looking at the portable intercoms for aircraft. It wouldn't be hard to hook up a headset through one of those intercoms and interface it with a transciever for ham bands.

Are there any "amateur's" in the house?

No no @Tripod I don't mean that kind of amateur. I mean amateur radio operators/ham operators.

If so do you normally carry any kind of amateur equipment on road trips in the SS?

Ghost Ryder is KR4ZO and I am KT4JW
