OUCH!! Thank God it stayed upright but for some Slingshot members they'd be looking at this as a time to upgrade. I can see where the fear can lead one to give it up and walk away for good. Thank God they walked away with life and limb. Accidents happen in all vehicles..some worse than others..
Starting voltage and why..thanks @Ghost, in my haste and hostility towards Optima I neglected that LOL But you're absolutely right. In my case on one vehicle is was a parasitic drain from alarm/audio equipment as the vehicle sat for more than a week. Rectified it a bit by setting the alarm to autostart when the voltage dropped. The other vehicle just received two duds!
@studiopeg the directions of hooking up a fully charged regular battery in parallel to your discharged AGM is correct. You will hear a little venting/hissing and the sides of the battery will get a bit warm during those two hours. If possible use a voltmeter to see where the charge is at when you've reached two hours, after that hook it up to a regular maintainer or switch your current charger to 2amp/hr until you reach a full charge. Some of the best of luck with Optima and I was a die hard fan of theirs years ago..not so much with two red tops sitting on my porch after doing this process multiple times after their "one time warranty swap out process". If you don't have a CAMFU board in your SLING once shipping starts.....you might just be riding a bit in the dark LOL I'm thinking Ray Charles and Stevie both can drive a SS and not get pulled over with these new halos lol and magic board LOL the "CAMFU" board gives you 20/20 vision by itself..the LED's are just a bonus...that's the rumor LOL JK..no true story LOL

I went to Office Depot today which is right next to a Cycle Gear brick and mortar store. Parked in front was a bitchin' '18 Icon Slingshot. When we came out of the Office Depot he happened to pass by us in the parking lot. I gave him a shout, he stopped, and I asked him if he was on the forums. He said no, he just got his last night. As we talked he told me he was leaving for Texas next Wednesday. I told him he should really sign up on this forum as if he had any issues he would be able to reach out for technical help, direction to dealers, and even real time help from forum members who would hitch up a trailer and bail him out. I then told him I was making a couple parts including luggage racks. He perked up and asked if I had a card. I said no. He then asked if I had any for his year and model. I said yes and I just live up the road a couple miles. He said, 'I'll follow you'. So he rode out to our house and bought a set of the luggage racks after we installed them in our driveway. I hope he joins up here and posts on the new member thread but I got his contact info for future rides.
Love the way you helped (hooked) a new Slinger (customer) and introduced him to the forum (as well as your products lol)!! You were being so helpful in not letting him travel without having the additional storage!! LOL BUT you let him leave without getting his REAR PROTECTED!!! What kind of an animal are you? LOL
On a serious note though, those racks look awesome and the customer service for a complete stranger is another reason you're an awesome vendor! You could have handed him two boxes with an install sheet but you went that extra mile and he will always remember that--the rest of us know that's your MO! If he's heading to Texas, especially to S. Texas, I'll keep my eyes open in case he needs any emergency help if he's in the greater San Antonio area.
Looks like most have hit the slowed down bit and the hazards being fine. Before replying I tried to get answers on the legality of being able to possibly create a mode where you could tie it into the braking function to further light up the halos red as you were braking. Perhaps to give the SS more visibility but it left one LEO confused as he replied "well red, blue and yellow lights are not permitted on the fronts as the vehicle while in motion but if you were coming to a stop for visibility..hmm" LOL Left me thinking this just may be using it a bit much in most states.

Awesome but please don't let my post rush your attempt to perfect the product as you'd like. I'd never want to rush anyone into pushing out a Gen 1 knowing Gen 2 will be quick and swift since some guy who couldn't sleep at night made an irrational post LOL I think you have a winner, and with additional outputs as you'd listed it should be one of the last upgrades an LED junkie should need. One of the reason I've held off for so long researching. Thanks for the update though

@Rnj12 I'm so very sorry to see that this act of "hurt, pain, violence and betrayal" had to spill over to your SS and the V-Rod. I know these situations can be highly driven by emotions and often are a last ditch effort to try and hurt a person when they know a physical slap, name calling or anything else will not pull your strings and emotions/or get a rise as quickly as seeing your face when you see this type of damage. We men call this the IBC because we tend to go nuclear, unless we have matured and learned to act like a children's movie and sing the song "let it go"--the anger of payback that is. You did the right thing. It does no good for you to spend a night in jail for reacting. File the police report, resting order, file the insurance paperwork, drink lots of coffee or beverage of your choice, and move forward if that is what you and her desire.
I never could understand why women would do this until the "offender" explained it to me. So much evil in a 5'1" lady with an amazing intellect..I was lucky to escape with my life lol So, I tucked the tail and ran.
In the end we all want the same thing. A stronger, safer and more viable US economy, despite who's the POTUS. Whether it was the former POTUS or the current POTUS, it's about the US being the top dog! No left..no right..just might.

We all know that the sanctions over the past years have hit N. Korea very hard. To the point where Pres. Kim Jong-Un told his people "the harder you hit the dogs when you kill them the better they will taste" as he dined on caviar smh. He's used his lands to plant tobacco and peddle look a like tobacco products on the black market, dabbled in the drug trade, once made a killing fishing a bank employee where he made off with over 80 million dollars and of course let's not forget his counterfeiting operation. He's kept the rest of the his country in poverty while creating private hot spots initially made for him but later becoming resorts for his favorite people. Now, if he can only get a little open daylight between him and the US at the diplomat table--he can make billions perhaps. @Bill Martin was spot on about the money. @WOLF, yes it's great if diplomacy can happen at any time. Of course, it will always be in the eyes of the beholder of who's considered the champion of peace. In the end, if it make a nation sleep better at night, it could be the Thundercats who brought us peace...if it means no service members lives will be put in harms way and no coffins draped with flags...you understand. I'm just waiting on the POTUS to scream "Slingshots for everyone"! This way I can have two to drive around LOL One to mod all crazy and impractical--and one all the normal daily driver lol

Refer back to posts 7967 7968 7974 I believe..too many numbers and I'm running on empty, if you care to go back and read the posts that were edited, you will still notice the profanities and implied names. Honestly, they didn't bother me and I didn't resort to saying someone called me a name. My only reference was in regards to being careful when calling others uneducated..and I left the pot there to be picked up on..
As I stated numerous times internet bullying, in person bullying doesn't work with me. I can debate the topic, give the numbers. All I noticed were distractors, attempting to take away from what I initially pointed out.
