"Your Slingshot With A Barn In The Background"

Well the next topic has been chosen and should FALL right in line with this time of year. Looking for a picture of your Slingshot with a barn in the background. Would be awesome to include a minor description of the picture and barn chosen. This should give everyone a good reason to get out and ride. I'm sure if you're like me may not have any barn pictures ready to go but know where a good barn is located to get out and go in the cool fall weather. Good luck and looking forward to the entries.

Deadline will be November 25th, 2021.

Rules and guidelines:

-The photo must be of your own Slingshot (real full-size Slingshots). If the picture submitted is not of your own vehicle, it will not be included in voting. And if need be, the photo will be deleted from the entry thread. It is known that some members may own more than one Slingshot.

- Use your own picture (not pictures from outside sources).

- Photo Shopping pictures or extreme editing is not allowed unless specified by the topic chosen.

- Stay within the competition's parameters (for example, if the rules are "Your Slingshot and Snow," only post a picture that has both your Slingshot and snow in it). Photos that do not comply with the topic will not be included in voting.

- Pictures should show off not only your sling, but also you photography skills. Be creative with your shots.

- One entry per member. Let us know which your entry is by typing "This is my entry:" above your picture. You can change your entry during the time of the competition but once time runs out you cannot change your entry or submit a photo. Once the deadline comes, THERE WILL BE NO MORE EDITING!

- The contest aims to last for the month, depending on the number of entries (competition will run longer if less entries are submitted, and

vice versa).

- After time is up, a new thread will be started for voting. The voting thread may be a "blind" poll, which means the results will be revealed after the end of the voting time line or once a member has voted. Forum members will vote on a winner. The member that wins the competition will come up with the theme/topic for the next competition.

- Once a photo wins a contest that photo will be added to the winners circle then "retired" and can not be used again unless for a specific contest.

- Have fun! Keep your comments constructive.

No need for a "daily driver" after that. Gonna have to trade the slingshot in for an RV. Or start coming down to some of our humidity filled events and get away from the 145° commute. But congrats either way.

I am in Riverside County - the nice green stripe across the lower end of the state - - - seems that Newsom got saved primarily by the liberal population centers located around San Francisco and Los Angeles

Memorial ride today for Alex Montoya, the young man from our group who passed in a tragic Slingshot accident a couple years ago.

Wanted to make sure and take a minute when this stop presented the opportunity to take a photo to commemorate the 20th anniversary of 9/11. I still remember and was heavy on my mind today. My thoughts and prayers are with each name read aloud today, the survivors still going strong, and this country as a whole. May one day we again find the unity that arose from the ashes that day. 🙏🇺🇸

That's exactly why we moved further north of Nashville. The area we were in was just getting to crowded and Nashville seemed to be spilling over. So got out of the city last year and moved to the Kentucky Tennessee state line. Found 23acres up there with a house comparable to the one we sold and didn't hesitate. No neighbors, no Walmart or McDonald's, one red light etc etc... hour drive to Nashville for work now but happy wife happy life, now she can have all the chickens and cows she wants

Sorry for the delay in updating. All in all I'd say the the event went really well. Some pop up rain through the weekend but nothing that couldn't be worked around. I was not able to attend as much as I would have liked due to work. Pretty much dropped my sling off to look pretty at the event with the wife while she helped work the booths. Everyone I talked to seemed to have a really good time and enjoy the rides. I'd say if I had to guess it was an easy 50+ slings. Plans are already in the works for next year, hope to see more people and have more time to get to visit with everyone.

My photo is for recognition to the Marion County Sheriff's Office for the amazing escorted ride for the #SavannahStrong event last month and the surrounding county deputies that assisted them. As well as the Avon Police and Fire Departments for their continued support to this family and cause.

yes its not a 100% guarantee which is why I will get a booster as soon as its available, but even if it only reduces the chance I could unintentionally harm my grandkids by 10 or 20% I would still do it - - - yes my grandkids are that important and if I ever got them sick and caused them harm and there had been something I could have done that I didn't do that might have prevented that - - - - seriously??? That would devastate me beyond anything I could ever imagine - - - - - If I were alone in this world without anyone I cared about in my life I might feel differently about being vaccinated, but thankfully that's not the case, I am blessed to have the family I have and protecting them is the most important thing I can think of that I will ever do.

Thank you for the link. There's a ton of information out there to support either side you want to land on. I was just curious to hear your side. I've seen enough of your posts to know where you stand on everything, it's just sometimes a nice break to step away from reading the latest study talk to someone about their point of view. Again, only wish the best for you and your family and respect any decision you make to get there.

I couldn't agree more, that's why I wish I could see more discussions instead of comment and hide comment and hide. I really enjoy watching the debates here and feel that the other side should be well represented. It benefits all for a healthy conversation and I do feel I've seen the potential for that if they could just quit acting like the members they despise. Just my opinion.

personally I will get the third shot booster as soon as it is made available to me - - my granddaughters, who are too young to be vaccinated, health is far more important to me than any potential risk to myself

I do want to ask and this is not to criticize or debate at all, just want to understand your reasoning for the statement about your granddaughters. If there are so many breakthrough cases and it seems to be your just as likely to catch and spread this as before then how do you think the vaccine helps them? It seems the stance has changed from you can't catch and spread this to well, you can but your symptoms may not be as severe. Not sure how this helps anyone but you? Again, not an attack just a question as I do value most(not all) opinions here, yours being towards the top of the list. I'm in a very pivotal point in my life with all this and just looking at views from all sides. That being said, I do wish you, the wife, and your granddaughters absolutely make it through to the other side of this in the best of health regardless of the choices made, didn't want that part mistaken.
