Thanks for the insight. Yeah I think Chattanooga traffic is a side effect of being so close to Atlanta. But neither are fun and I try to just simply pass through when I have to.

We've gathered a few more pretty quick and I agree it's worth the effort. Met some great people so far and looking forward to meeting more. Luckily I'm just assisting with this effort cause I'm sure it could become overwhelming pretty quick on your own. But I guess too many people could definitely be a good problem to have. Sure beats riding alone like I did all last year.

Thanks again for the info and I'll definitely be in touch. If you find your self wondering north of Chattanooga and up here by Nashville for any reason be sure to get in touch.

Well as slingshots still seem few and far between around the middle tennessee area we're trying to collect those up we do see and stay in contact with each other for future rides and g2g's. Anybody interested and on Facebook can search for Music City Slingshot Owners and join us. For those less connected on social media such as myself I'll try and keep anything going on posted here on the forums. Looking forward to growing our group to meet new friends and slingshot enthusiast.

While I'm awaiting the video as well I was also wondering if this post tied into the halos. After reading the description in the first post of the other thread I was wondering if the turn signal tie in was going to turn the outside halos into a switchback type led from white to amber like the high end luxury type cars.

I'm really hoping the weather breaks enough to ride over tomorrow from Nashville. I'd love to meet some faces from the forum. Although I'm starting to think by looking at the pictures that a top may be required? Doesn't look like I'm prepared to fit in. J/k.

If the weather doesn't seem to break we're debating just riding up with 4 wheels and checking out the event on foot for our first year.

So I was very fascinated when I first saw this post and did quite a bit of research about the technology. Well fast forward to tonight on my way home and what should happen to catch my eye? The Tron slingshot pictured in this thread! I couldn't believe it and had to turn around and go check it out in person.

I will say, pictures do not do this slingshot justice. It's amazing to see in person and very mesmerizing. This caught my attention in a parking lot of 100+ bikes and passing by about 45mph. While the lights were awesome to see up close I'm anxious to see it in the daylight as well. The design and intricate detail on the paint work only further complimented such a new and interesting technology. The two put together were truly a work of art and awesome to see so many people in a sea of bikes surrounding a Slingshot.

The tron slingshot aside, it was great to meet the wonderful owners and creator @Tronshot & @MrsTronshot tonight. They were awesome to talk too and graciously stayed I know well past my bedtime chatting and letting me admire their sling. Small world apparently but glad to have made two new slingshot friends and looking forward to getting together again

Never really considered removing the badges but I will say that looks good and grabbed my attention more than I thought it would, especially that back fin. Nice job. I will advise though be cautious with those pics of shine and reflection after cleaning, there are those around here with hood licking fetishes @MiM, lol. Just sayin....

Thanks for all the info and heads up. Not to say it was related at all but a few days after I got my sling last spring I was really getting on it and getting used to it when I punched it and the seat slid all the way back. Now I'm what I see as average height but when it slid all they way back I could no longer reach the pedals and quickly went in to oh sh*t mode. Got it in neutral and the seat slid back into position to reach the pedals and check my pants to make sure I didn't piss myself. It never happened again and I just credited it to me maybe not fully engaging the adjuatment bar but you never know. Mine is on the list regardless so I guess it'll be looked at either way and hopefully all checks out good.

So I'm just curious as far as rain, what does the percentage have to be for everybody to ride or does it matter? I started out last year when I got the slingshot with only 0% percentage days and that went out the window quick. Now I see myself increasing that each morning I check the forecast. I think I'm about at a less than 50% chance frame of mind now.

I got these last summer. They have the transition lenses and are padded so I keep them in the glove box and wear them everytime day or night. I got the pearl white to match but I believe they had a bunch of different colors. Downside is I wish they got a bit darker during the day cause a strong glare will still make me want to squint some. The finish is starting to flake off but for less than 30 bucks on eBay I'd gladly get them again.

The only experience I've had with polaris parts was through my wife. Her and the kids decided to get me the pearl white grill and belt guard cover with a shirt and hat for father's day last year. While I was super excited when I opened everything you could see the frustration on her face. Afterwards she told me that they were horrible to deal with. Something about it was supposed to be free shipping due to being over a certain amount however since they were two different packages shipping from two different locations she had to pay shipping on both. When she called about it they tried to cancel one of the packages to activate the free shipping on the other. I don't remember how it all worked out other than it all got there and she told me "happy fathers day, never again will I deal with polaris, next time your giving me access to your slingmods account!"

Glad it all worked out for you though. It's frustrating to know what you want and be set on it and then it not be there. That's what I ran into here recently when I decided I wanted to go with the alpha cai and then they weren't available and alpha went mia.

Oh my... Another hood to lick!

Very nice @TheWickedReaper! Did you buy those inserts or have them painted?

Lol. I do believe that may be the most unique compliment I've ever received but thank you. Gonna have to use that one later...

I bought them. I actually found a really good deal on the black pearl deck humps that I couldn't pass up and after getting those I got the hood pieces and gas cap to match. So pretty much got the kit that polaris offers for a fraction of the cost minus the strip that goes on the fin by your head, never could locate that piece.
I wanted to keep the old hood pieces to try and dip and play around with but unfortunately tore them to pieces trying to remove them so painting them may not have worked out the way I wanted anyways.

So after trying the slick mist I will say it definitely shines. Will probably still try the topcoat at some point but wasn't disappointed with the slick mist. Seemed to be clouding up when I first tried to start drying but I think I started out with less mist and more downpour and may have used too much. But the end result definitely catches the eye... and the smell, wow, the garage smelled like cherry car freshener the whole time.

I looked at the mothers speed version at my local auto parts store, that is what got me looking into synthetic alternatives to clay in the first place. I like that the synthetics can be reused more times than real clay and I really like that if I drop it I dont have to throw it away like clay - just rinse it off and its good at new, I went with the nanoskin mostly because it was less money and got good reviews

Oh I agree on the nanoskin, I looked at the link you provided and will probably try one. I just happened to be seeing all the pics of yours shining and the talk of waxing had me itching to try it regardless this weekend. While I'm not sure it justifies mother's being twice as much as the nanoskin I will say the hard shell grip setup on top was nice to hold on to. I feel like if it did good on heavy buildup you could definitely save on time vs clay on a full size vehicle.
