This was a great time. I had a lot of fun, met a lot of great people, and saw some incredible mods. The 4-seat Slingshot was awesome.

Good for you! If only the rest of us with burred-up front spoilers had such happy memories to associate with the damage, eh, V-SHOT?
It all comes down to perspective. You have a choice to focus on the good in a situation or the bad. I tend to look for the positive things because I've found that what you focus on, you bring about, and what you look for, you find.

I was at home in Tennessee and I drove over to the cemetery to visit my mom's grave. As I was leaving the parking lot, there was a small step-up onto the road's pavement. I wasn't so high that I couldn't have cleared it safely. But I didn't notice the pothole just before the step-up.
As my spoiler had just cleared the raised edge of the pavement, my driver's side front tire went into the pothole. The entire front-left side lowered, of course, and I heard the grinding sound of plastic on pavement. I checked the spoiler and it's ground-up pretty good on the bottom, but there's not really any noticeable damage to the front edge. I can notice it because I know where to look, but I doubt anyone else will see it. Especially after I do some light sanding and then attach my LED light strips to the lower front edge of the spoiler.
So why do I not even mind that this happened? I loved my mom very much and I miss her terribly. This incident happened at her cemetery. It occurred to me that every time I think about this incident or see the spoiler, or even see the Slingshot, I will now be reminded of my mom. I'm happy to have one more reason to remember her and think about her even more than I do already.

So @Tech_Rick you are from the Dover area? Really like the Land Between the Lakes area.
Yes. I grew up in Dover. It's a great little town! LBL is pretty awesome.

Drove from the DC/NOVA area to my home town in north-western Tennessee and to my brother's house in southern Kentucky (for the total eclipse - it was awesome!). The Slingshot did great. No problems to report. My brother had a BLAST driving it. I went by an old civil war battleground in my home town (Fort Donelson) to see if the confederate soldier statue, which has been there since long before I was born, had been taken down. It was still there.

painted them completely orange (bottom picture), then cleaned the disc surface leaving paint only in the holes and on the edges (to prevent rust in those areas).
Yup. That's correct. The pictures got reversed somehow. Instead of painting each individual hole, I just painted the entire surface and then sanded off the excess, leaving the paint only where I wanted it. The bottom pic does look a bit red, huh? But the paint I used is Chevrolet engine block orange. It's not a perfect match for my Orange Madness Slingshot, but it is VERY close to the color of the visible part of the OEM brake pads.

Actually not Photoshopped.
(I used MS Paint. Hahahahahaha!!!)

The brake LEDs on my tail fin were inop. I checked to see if they were just unplugged, but they were plugged in. The power for them is going through a little box mounted under the fin. I think it's an RFI filter to prevent interference to the radio. If I by-pass it and wire the LEDs directly, they work fine. If I run the power through the RFI filter, the LEDs do not work at all. (Radio receives signal fine and sound fine either way.)
This tells me that the RFI filter is defective.
Anyone have any experience with this?
Will a Polaris dealership order a new RFI Filter for me under warranty and allow me to install it? (I've bought the Slingshot new less than 2 months ago.) Or, will they insist that I drop the Slingshot off to them and they'll get to in in a month or three?

Is the speedometer still accurate.
No, but I never used it anyway.

OK, after reviewing the law on helmets, I found the loophole!!!! If the vehicle has wheels 8" or smaller, no helmet is required. So I did the mod and now I'm helmet free!!!!

Here's the actual law in VA:
Motorcycle and autocycle operators to wear helmets, etc.; certain sales prohibited; penalty
A. Every person operating a motorcycle or autocycle shall wear a face shield, safety glasses or goggles, or have his motorcycle or autocycle equipped with safety glass or a windshield at all times while operating the vehicle, and operators and any passengers thereon shall wear protective helmets. Operators and passengers riding on motorcycles with wheels of eight inches or less in diameter or in three-wheeled motorcycles or autocycles that have nonremovable roofs, windshields, and enclosed bodies shall not be required to wear protective helmets. The windshields, face shields, glasses or goggles, and protective helmets required by this section shall meet or exceed the standards and specifications of the Snell Memorial Foundation, the American National Standards Institute, Inc., or the federal Department of Transportation. Failure to wear a face shield, safety glasses or goggles, or protective helmets shall not constitute negligence per se in any civil proceeding. The provisions of this section requiring the wearing of protective helmets shall not apply to operators of or passengers on motorcycles or autocycles being operated (i) as part of an organized parade authorized by the Department of Transportation or the locality in which the parade is being conducted and escorted, accompanied, or participated in by law-enforcement officers of the jurisdiction wherein the parade is held and (ii) at speeds of no more than 15 miles per hour.No motorcycle or autocycle operator shall use any face shield, safety glasses, or goggles, or have his motorcycle or autocycle equipped with safety glass or a windshield, unless of a type either (i) approved by the Superintendent prior to July 1, 1996, or (ii) that meets or exceeds the standards and specifications of the Snell Memorial Foundation, the American National Standards Institute, Inc., or the federal Department of Transportation and is marked in accordance with such standards. The relevant passage is "...operators and any passengers thereon shall wear protective helmets. Operators and passengers riding on motorcycles with wheels of eight inches or less in diameter or in three-wheeled motorcycles or autocycles that have nonremovable roofs, windshields, and enclosed bodies shall not be required to wear protective helmets".
My understanding of this is that you must wear a helmet on a Slingshot UNLESS it has a windshield (mine does), AND an enclosed body (mine does), AND a non-removable top (mine does not).
