I was just talking with Daniel Boyer who is in sales/marketing over at Vanderhal and he told me the hip room across both seats in the Venice measures 36 inches

There is a nice youtube video from Jay Leno's Garage where he meets with the owner of Vanderhall and they talk about the Venice and then take a drive in it together

I really like the Vanderhall, it seems very well thought out and from what they say it has very good performance

The one thing I can't get past is the width of the cockpit area. To me it seems way too small for two adults to ride comfortably for any length of time.

here is a link to the youtube video 2017 Vanderhall Venice - Jay Leno's Garage

And this is a screen shot grab from that same video

From what I can find on the internet Jay is 5' 10.5" inches tall and 190 pounds - so not what I would call a large man.

To me the lack of room for 2 people to really be comfortable totally overshadows all of the great design features - this thing looks more uncomfortable than last class on a discount airline.

    What do you think?

I would like to add one thing. Before I quit I tried several times and failed. The Dr. told me to quit, I failed, My wife want us to quit I failed. The list of failures goes on and the one thing that was different when I finally got it right was that the time when I was successful I quit because I really wanted to quit

If deep down you dont really want to quit for yourself and not because someone else wants it you will fall back and fail

You have to in your own mind really want it and if you do then it will stick

As a little motivation, think of all the mods you can buy with the money you will save? take whatever you would spend each week on smokes and set it aside and then when it has grown reward yourself with mods

I quit smoking on Jan 2 1995. Back then the patch was still prescription and my Insurance covered it so that is what I used. I also got some of those chrome Chinese balls, you know, the ones that come in pairs usually in a box that when you knock them together they sound like bells. anyway I had them in my hand every waking hour - I needed something to keep my smoking hand busy just as much as I needed the patch for the nicotine

Anyway good luck I pray that you make it this time

i have had some pretty fast rides. And they all handled well. Mostly AMG Mercedes models. And for some reason the Slingshot can stick better than any of them. I wish someone could do some type of engineering study on how the triangle wedge shape was helping the Slingshot to actually get a "bite" in the corners. It has to be doing some kind of wedging to keep its grip.

Yes, I to would love to see some study so I could really understand the dynamics. :)

To the people here who own and drive both a sports car and your slingshot I would like to know which car you have and if it or your slingshot corners better?

Back in the early 70's my first car was a 1964 Porsche 356C. I used to love the way that car cornered on twisty mountain roads. Driving my SL around town it feels like I am driving a go-kart, but unfortunately I havent had a real chance to get it out on a good mountain road to really test it yet so I figured I would ask those here who have.

I would like to add to the OP's question and ask those who are running boost, how much boot are you running?

I would like to know what is considered a "safe" amount and what those here think is pushing the limits

is it possible to change the final drive ratio like you can with a differential?

perhaps different pulley sizes on the belt drive?

thank you - - I would love to hear from @Painter on this

I am curious about the graphics that places like slingmods sell and that I see on many of the different Slingshots I see pictured here.

I live in Palm Springs California. Our sun here is very strong and can be very destructive How well do these decals and graphics hold up to extreme sun and heat?

Also if they do fade & or crack are they easily removable without causing any damage.

I have seen several that I might like to try out, but I dont want to apply one only to have it looking like crap after a year or so and then not being able to easily replace it

    Thanks
