Thanks for the test... going to get one for my SJ8 camera!

good deal, it actually works fairly well, this ride out to windy point was about a extreme of a test as I could find - very high gusting winds out there that day - here is a video of the ride I took up to the tram right before I did that test and I was also using the windslayer foam - only wind in this was from the speed I was driving - check it out, it really cuts the wind noise down to where it isnt bothersome at all

You understand words different than me. I read two "collegues", no mention of party affiliation, were having a heated discussion and one was hit from behind. Authorities haven't been able to find the assailant(s) or identify the seven(7) people involved in the altercation.

I need to watch more FOX News pundits to help me properly decipher the truth behind the written word.

Opps - sorry - the person who got sucker punched, Mendoza, is an "American Independent which is a conservative party - - Please forgive my assumption that even the victim was liberal, we have so very few conservative politicians here in California that I didnt bother checking first - heck even our conservative politicians would be considered liberal by most standards

only time I took my 2016 to the dealer the service rep made the comment that it was a good thing I had the extended warranty because my regular warranty had ended. I said it wasnt two years yet and he said it was only one - At the time I didnt argue because, as he said I have the extended warranty and he said it would cover the brake switch issue which was the only non-recall thing I was there for

Like others have said the book says 2 years, but I suspect that because most of the things they work on are i year they just assume its the same for the slingshot - at this point I am past the 2 years so until 2022 I have to rely on the extended

As as side note the extended they sold me is not the Polaris warranty - its some Western something and so far I cant complain, it did cover the brake switch and it also paid for 7 days of rental car that I got when they kept the slingshot :)

I have no clue which tank is better, but I do like the sight tube on the Twist tank better than the small window on the DDM tank - just seems like it would be much easier to see the coolant level

another thing that I have discovered is that for longer rides it really helps to have an external power source - I have been using an Anker PowerCore 20100 mAh power bank. I put it in the glove box and the cord easily reaches my windshield mount location, for the fin mount I can use the cigarette lighter power plug that is there. If I want to record a long ride from my nose mount I will have to rig something, but that can wait - - Also the windslayer foam covers the power port so it wont work with an external power source - I could cut a hole, but its right next to one of the cameras microphones so that is not a great idea

oh and if anyone wants to know why I am using the Anker and not the usb plug in the glove box it because I use that USB port for a thumb drive with my music on it

Tried out my windslayer foam wind shield this morning - it actually works pretty well, Took a ride out highway 111 to windy point as a part of my ride this morning which is about the toughest test I could have thought of - hit over 80MPH and there were very strong gusting winds that were actually moving the Slingshot around - its not perfect, but it sure makes the wind noise less objectionable

Went for a ride this morning and before I headed out on the road I decided to take the drive up Tramway road to the Station at the base of the mountain where you can board a tram and go up to over 8,000 feet in about 15 minutes. This road was my "fun road" for the first few months after I got my Slingshot - almost every evening during those first months I would head out after my wife left for work and go out and go for the ride up and back down before coming back home and setteling in for the night.

So officer, do you understand that to be like a Jeep with top and doors removed operating on a highway...

Or as in, you are on this side of my Slingshot and your partner is on the opposite side, kind of surrounded. :/

not sure the jeep comparison works - jeep is a car and subject to different laws than a autocycle or motorcycle.

I have a friend who got a ticket in his slingshot for no helmet. took it to court and in the end the judge agreed that it was exempt - - I think this is great, but he did miss 2 days of work going to court - so I am not sure you can say he "won" personally I think its just easier to wear my little 1/2 helmet - I dont have the time or desire to go to court

The driver and passenger of an autocycle must wear helmets UNLESS the autocycle is completely surrounded. [TCA 55-9-302 (b)(2)]

This is more than a little vague. How and who understands the meaning?

Yep - in California there is an exception to the helmet law for "fully enclosed" three wheel motorcycles - - no definition of what constitutes "fully enclosed" as such it pretty much leaves it up to the judge

Heck - most non-slingshot owners would not even notice the mods on my sling, when the MeanSling top is not installed the only real obvious change is the red Eibach springs of my JRI coilovers.
