When we went to the Naturalization ceremonies for both my wife and then a few years later my mother in law when we came out of the venues both time there were people trying to heard the new citizens over to democrat voter registration booths and both times we just kept walking on over to the booth being run by the republicans - - - actually I was a bit surprised to see we were not alone a very good number of the new citizens at both events clearly wanted to register as Republicans.
Actually it doesnt really surprise me - The people who do all of the work to become legal Naturalized Citizens seem to have an above average understanding of what it means to work for the American dream and as such they understand that joining the democrats is not necessarily the way they want to go
Yep - I think there is a huge difference in the mindset of a new Naturalized Citizen immigrant and other immigrants

Wife and I just got our flu shots this afternoon - we got the special over 65 high dose vaccine that covers 4 different flu strains
Figured it is more important this year with all of them Covids running around - - wouldn"t want to get bit by both the Flu and a Covid at the same time

You know how companies are making millions of dollars selling your personal information....when you take these Family genetic (DNA) Tests....you’re handing over your entire life with all the info they get. These hospitals are gathering your DNA With corona virus tests....could they be greedy enough to steal that info? My guess is it could get the CEO a nice bonus...your right - if they got my DNA they could possibly make clones of me and sell them - - - - that would have to be worth a fortune!!!

it proves the laws need changed and states were not ready to handle this election. Everything should be standardized. Not 50 different voting methods and rules. It’s one country.
and thats what the Democrats want - one big popular vote for the entire country - - no State rights & no Electoral college

Pittsburgh Catholics for Biden rallied today. I guess they aren’t very religious because they are supposed to denounce abortion and any type of birth control. They must be going to hell.
well considering the fact that Nancy Pelosi says she is a Catholic I guess the church must have different guidelines for democrats

did you see the vote calculated? Did you see the number go up beside your candidates Name? was that the “real” counting machine. Or the ballot shredder..
in the end it doesnt matter if we vote in person or by mail - - in the end we have to trust the people who deal with the counting and number reporting process - - if they are dishonest we are screwed - - even if you watch them count your ballot there is no guarantee they are not feeding their own fake ballots through the machine to get the result they want and there is no guarantee that even if they count them all correctly that they then report the results correctly
The system relies on people being honest and all it takes is one or 2 who are not to mess things up enough so that your vote is nullified or not counted
so - - either you trust the system and the people who volunteer or you might as well stay home - - because if they can't be trusted it doesnt matter how you vote

it's called prioritization of spending.
it could also have something to do with the size of the State/County and the cost of the machines needed to cover it
I suspect it might take a few more machines to cover all of the polling places in California than it would to do the same in Maine

Hmm, I put the ballot in the counting machine so how would they toss it away?
I can only speak for my voting experience here in California, But I have never seen a counting machine, at all of the polling places in the various counties where I have voted with a paper ballot the ballots get dropped in a collection boxes which are are delivered to the county registrar office where they are counted - - same place mail in ballots are delivered - - In fact from what I have read mail in / absentee ballots that are received before election day are the first ballots counted
As a side note I find it amazing that your state apparently has the money to provide counting machines at every single poling place - - must be nice

Well Bigdog you are right the people who count could cheat or throw it away, but that would be equally true if I voted in person - the same people do the counting no matter how the ballot is delivered

Well seems my mail in voting has been successful - - received my ballot last Saturday filled it out and dropped it in a big blue mail box by me market on Sunday - of course Monday was a mail holiday so it probably didnt really get moving until Tuesday - - so here I am today and I get a text telling me my ballot has been received - when I get home I decide to track it and now it has been officially verified and accepted

I do suspect Facebook and Twitter are working on comprehensive lists right now. They have incentive to release a list of all the times they blocked un-verified stories about Trump.
Though they may just argue that, "That was then. Now after many trips to Washington things are different and moving forward we will be critical of all un-verified stories".
