Guys I would love to be there for the ride with you'll. But getting there from home is a nightmare, mainly due to Oregon's non double tow policy. It adds 1600 miles to an 1800 mile trip from home to Milwaukie. We did have a nice ride Monday of this week, the 75 degree weather was great. This punched my ride every month of the year ticket. We have a drive through light show in Chickasha OK that we might try if our 12 degree weather warms up some. Have fun guys post some pictures.

I did not put anything on the outside of my trailer so as not to advertise what was inside. Just thought it would be better for security reasons. If anything I might put something like "Porta Potty Service" on it to discourage possible theft.

As much as I like to meet vets and shake their hand and thank them for their service and sacrifices, I also enjoy receiving thanks.

    So thank you all.

Just got all my recalls done today, checked and new plugs were in my new swingarm. The tech (joe) called to see how much air I used in my rear shock so he could make sure the belt tension was correct for my normal ride height. Now that is customer service and attention to detail. He even saw the screw in the unused hole and transferred that to the new arm, sharp guy!

If I suspect water in my fluids I just change the fluid, no real need to check, just change it. It is not like brake fluid costs a lot, actually pretty cheap. Brake fluid is hydroscopic so it will take on water even in a loosely capped container, or a poorly maintained brake system.

I actually took my calipers off because I was doing the rotors as well. I did not break the hydraulic lines but I did take the parking brake stuff off because it was easier than trying to tape it off. I used some Krylon paint from wally world, 2000 degree Orange, that looked pretty close to the red on the hood strip, and then clear. Baked the rotors in the wife's oven according to directions on the can. Been several months and many miles with little to no paint fall off.

And that, my friend, is why I run diesel. Unfortunately diesel trucks come at a premium in the Pacific NW. My current truck came from Arizona and my last one from Salt Lake City. I had to bypass the Finance Officer on this current 7.3l Powerstroke - it was too nice and too low on miles to pass up! Are you thinking F450 or F550 size?

Mine is a diesel, only gas stuff I have is the sling and my zero turn. Thinking more like a Freightliner M series, maybe a Sport Chassis, or that style. To keep from derailing this thread I saw several slingshot this morning, when I dropped mine off at the dealer for all the recalls.

Wow what is total length on that whole rig 100 yards?

    RNJ12

Not really sure, kinda affrad to measure it. I think somewhere around 70 feet. Length does not bother me at all, weight is what is killing me.

Keep the lead vehicle... sell everything aft of lead... use the money to replace the last vehicle... voila, ultimate camper/hauler. Two vehicles, half the insurance, and you won't need one hundred yards to park them all in...

Would have to device the wife as well, she loves that fifth wheel.

Ps gotta learn how to do multiple quotes.

Good morning @LargeCar! I saw that you were heading home. I trust that you two had a safe and uneventful journey? Looking forward to our next ride - we'll see what state that ends up being in.

Yup we made it just fine, poor truck has its tongue hanging out a couple of feet. To long to heavy for this truck, talking to the Finance Officer about getting a medium class truck. Got a whopping 6.7 mpg on one segment, 8.? was the best.

That's awesome LC! Was that from Polaris of Portland or another dealer? According to @wjfyfe more than one Oregon dealer is dropping the Slingshot entirely.

From the dealer in the great little town of Boring. Without naming them I think they may be one of the ones dropping them. All of theirs were poked back in the corner and to hard to see much. Was there with older brother looking for a side by side.

As far as the plugs, we are all brothers, so helping a brother is just what we do.

Maybe I'll raise above student someday, when I feel like I have earned a new level, still learning.

While in Oregon I happened to visit a dealer that had old swing arms stacked outside. I saw plugs in some and asked if I could pull them and they said "Go for it. I have two sets that I can mail to a needing member here. If you really need them to plug a swingarm hole and not just to have them PM me your address and I'll post them to you. First two members that really needs this will get them.

Great idea, I have the bell my dealer gave me. Go for it, I have been to busy with travel to see my mom after her stroke and with my wife's two back surgeries to even get one here to post much.

I didn't know that. Seriously? Federal law? How is it even proper for the federal government to stick their nose into something that asinine? Pretty sure there's something in our founding documents about "any powers not specifically enumerated to the federal government remain the domain of the States," or something like that. I'm just paraphrasing, of course... :P

on a trip from Portland to Idaho at present, tonight I'll see if I can find d the law and post it. 393.26 comes to mind but that may be for trucks, not sure what the auto one is.
