Paint it fast titanium gray.

My mirrors are rock solid even after adding those extensions.
Does the frame shake or just the glass?

67,575 miles it does not sit still very long. Oh, I have been under the Sling, It is just that I have never looked to see how much clearance there is
It should not be hard to put some type of insulation over the switch or between the switch and the exhaust pipe..

Use some dry gas just Incase...never buy gas at a station when the tanker truck is unloading...it’s stirring up all the dirt and water in the underground tanks. Let it settle for a day or two...
And just personally I buy name brand gas not Ralph’s no name cheap gas..even though it’s 93... you never know if Ralph is watering it down for more profit..

You are right when it comes to regular vehicles... but motorcycles/slingshots are not normal vehicles (that's why we ride them). Lots more frame on cars and trucks and you can get hitches for them for a song and a dance... (cheap). But when it comes to two and three wheels all that changes. They have a lot of junk out there for some very high prices. But all that aside does anyone here know if Polaris actually voided a warranty because it had a hitch on it? Did they actually send a letter to dealers telling them to cancel all warranty's if it had a hitch on it? There's a lot of BS on the internet just trying to separate fact from BS..
I’ll refer everyone back to “something is killing my rear fender” thread....that swing arm is bouncing at least 4-6 inches in the air....if it’s hitting my license plate bracket....going over bumps or pot holes or rough road or whatever is causing it to jump around...
So imagine what’s happening to a trailer on that hitch connected to the swing arm....
After my recent experience with the jumping swing arm the last place I want to attach a trailer hitch is the swing arm......just telling you from my recent personal experience. Read my thread and look at the pictures...of the chipped off paint.
Just as a side note.....could my tire be out of balance and that’s why it’s jumping around?
I need to have someone follow me....

I used an impact gun to remove them

Changed my front wheels today and
The nuts were galled making them really hard to take off. These nuts are new and I hand tightened them.
I used some anti-seize on the tapered part when I put them back on

Dirty gas?

Is it just me? For some people this forum has become a google equivalent rather than a focus for information on our great slings.
Slingshot/Bagworminfo.com? I can mostly deal with derailed threads and differences of opinion but please folks, give us a break.
I hope there is no limit on threads that can be ignored or posters blocked. The only problem is Google doesn’t have a method of interpreting a picture you post and furnishing an answer.

They are killing these shrubs.

when you say "dangly down thing" are you talking about this stupid reflector thing that polaris stuck on the stock license plate mount?
Editif this is your problem just remove the whole thing and throw it away. It has to be one of the dumbest things they put on the stock slingshot - -
looks like something they took off a kids bicycle and it looks cheep
I removed that thing the day I brought my slingshot home - - and I cant believe that you made a nice new mount and then put this thing on it
Yes and no......I might cut off the very bottom part...I like the reflector idea...but someone makes red lights to replace the reflectors. Was considering adding them.
About the “L” shaped reflectors ....I was in the show room looking around and one was laying on the floor under a new SS.... they couldn’t even get them to stick long enough to make it out the door.... one is still stuck on mine and the other one I found in my driveway...
They need to use 3M tape...
Many states require them to be there....

I’m probably going to remove this dangly down thing.
I just spent about $150 for flags and the poles. Plus time and money to make the new glove holder bracket.
-
-
Well I can verify the fender damage is from the license plate bracket, I found a chip of paint on it today with new damage.
Now I know why Polaris doesn’t sell them with fenders.

The left side has a little more to go before the wear bars.

Right tire

a 15' with 9500 miles hmmm 15 to 16, 16 to 17, 17 to 18, hmm 9500 divided by 3yrs eaquals about 3166 miles per year. An average car motor will last well in excess of 100,000 miles but we'll just use that for a conversation point. 100,000 miles divided by 3,166 is about 31 1/2 yrs so I'd say at the current rate of racking up the miles you won't live long enough to wear it out. jes my .o2
I just bought it a year ago in may..
