@FunCycle are you adjusting the preload of the springs to get to the stock ride height for looks or performance? I know on my bikes I have about 1 1/4 " of preload adjustment, anything over that based on rider weight I have to go to a stiffer spring. I was told the preload was set based on the SS static weight. If that's not the case then maybe I could play with the preload adjustment. Let us know how your adjustments work out. :)

Having dirt bikes for so many years with adjustable shocks, I always rotate them to full hard on the clickers, count the clicks all the way out to soft and start in the middle +2 on the hard side. If its 22 clicks total start at 11 out from hard and move in 2 click increments + or - to your preferred feel. I have the JRI'S and love them. I have my settings written down in the glove box and believe I am +4 in the front and +6 rear from the middle. I have not messed with the ride height (preload) on the shocks, they were supposed to be set based on vehicle weight. Hope that helps.

My IPOD would shut off due to over temperature in the glove box along with the passenger floor/firewall heat that you couldn't keep your hand on. I did the Alpha side exhaust almost 4 years ago and it solved my heat problem. Any after market exhaust will help with heat for sure.

I know a lot of the early 15's had this issue as I did also. For me it was the 2nd ECM flash from Polaris that fixed it. Every once in a while (months) it will hang at RPM, or drop to almost stall as you describe. Maybe your missing an update.

Oak dowels with a push on (glued) furniture cap, all from Lowes/Home depot and zip tied to the roll hoops for special occasions/rides. $10.00

Well, good luck. The whole process dealing with Polaris to replace the skin was a 3 month ordeal. Then to have the same dimple. Thing is, I looked at the new skin before they put it on and it was perfect. So always made me think the way it was pinned down formed a stress dimple. There is nothing directly behind it pushing up to cause it. I just live with it.

Yes I have since I purchased in 2014. Polaris replaced the good skin only to have the dimple again. Was just thinking about it the other day. Maybe my hood stops that are up front and adjustable are to high causing this dimple. You can see it in this pic above the hood badge

Ya had me up until you said “moving toward the gunfire” :00008172: Seriously, I get what you are saying but jeez that sounds like it would have a horrendous price tag attached to that implementing it in schools all over the US. It is an outstanding concept / kudos for your idea!!

Not sure of the cost, but the protection of schools is going to be a hearty price tag for all of us if some solution is implemented. It will be said at what cost is to much for the safety of our children.

I don’t know that much about those non lethal weapons but would anyone want to use em against someone rapid firing an AR 15. That old sayin bringing a knife to a gunfight comes to mind.....just sayin

Properly trained yes. This is all (CQC) close quarters combat. All of these idiots that commit these shootings are not trained or proficient in any CQC drills thank god. At close range in a crowded room a hand held weapon for the defender is the best option. I am not against live rounds being exchanged in a defensive engagement, I just think we would have more staff members willing to carry non-lethal weapons verses a true handgun. A good mix would be nice. If the mix is 70/30 I guarantee that the 70% would volunteer to carry non-lethal. Try not to take the term "non-lethal" lightly, these methods and means of incapacitating are brutal. It takes years of training and repetition to move toward the gunfire, let alone buy yourself. Defensive means for each classroom so you can have the intruded dead to rights at the door (in the fatal funnel) is ideal.

Just my point. If you train all staff members in the use of non-lethal force, lets say 25. At best you will get 8 that take action during a crisis. Do you prosicute the remaining 17 staff members for inaction? Dereliction of duty? Does the "good samaritian law" apply? We have a better chance and more receptive audience with non-lethal means. The 55 year old vegetarian woman/man (being fair) will sling some OC/Tase before sending rounds down range. Have non-lethal stations throughout the school that only staff members have access to, how hard is that. I don't mind a teacher with a Taser and OC at their disposal in the class room, lead is a different story.

Why ( I havent read the entire thread) is no one talking non-lethal? We have the best non lethal means of disabling anyone and any animal. Equip and train school staff in the use of non-lethal options. Tasers, OC, Bean bag shot guns, Paint ball guns with pepper balls (I said balls). We have elaborate fire systems within schools. Why not have the ability to fill a room with OC? We do it in our jails. A staff member trained every month at the range, lets say a 9mm, in a stressful situation will........cause friendly fire just because, all plans go to shit in the first minute anyway. Then look forward to a manslaughter charge later, thats just the way it goes. My son is a deputy sheriff and they fill cells with OC that incapacitates all. I have certified with OC and I would gladly go into an Army gas chamber or be Tased before OC. Beanbag weapons are no joke, they disable but not kill. A quick fix that doesn't require a lot of effort, just time and open source purchases from the local sporting goods store. I have the business model and training requirements in theroy if interested. "Shoot em in the face" Peace out!!!
