My Wife loves the cost savings over the electric heat. And it's good exercise for me. I heated with wood in Maine for almost 20yrs and swore I'd never do it again. Then I move to Tennessee and my Wife and I buy her Grandparents home and property 20 years ago. 122 acres of property and 90% of it is trees so here I am again burning wood...LOL. I take it slow and have a good wood splitter and a couple of chainsaws so it's just good sense to use the resources God gave us.

Heated this house with wood from 93 to 2018 but have used the same stove since 1980. Happy to just heat the shop now 😁

Guess I'll leave the SS in the garage this morning. Fed the wood stove this morning when I got up at 0430. 22* which is cool for SE Tennessee. I was born and brought up in the Adirondacks of NY and spent my the first 48yrs there so I'm not a stranger to the cold and snow. But dayyum, now at 67yr young 22 above feels like 28 below felt like when I was much younger. Sitting here drinking my coffee and looking out my southern window. Thinking....it doesn't look cold, maybe after cutting a little of next years wood I can ride.....! LOL ^^^^

That's a nice view to enjoy with your coffee! Don't envy the wood cutting though. That's what I'll be doing the next couple days but at least I'm just heating the shop now . I quit heating the house with wood two years ago to the wife's delight, She always hated the mess X/

Had my recall taken care of today and while there I left my referral code there for a guy who supposedly has been waiting to buy because of the stop sale. Mine was the first one to get done but the owner came in while it was being done and told them to do the purple one on the show room floor next. Hopefully I'll score a second referral reward :P

Ding...Ding...Ding...Ding Just scored another 500 from Polaris. They've now reimbursed me for the purchase of the extended warranty. At least that's the way I'm looking at it 😁

Following... Since DER and I have about the same headlight setup... 😉

it's been a while...Time to update y'all. Got my halos finished, I made collars to go around the lights and mounted the halos to those. Also added a second fuse block powered by a second battery to connect the halos to. My wife started this by wanting a few lights. We now have halos, two underglow kits, and wheel lights. Hope I can get thru the season without needing to add more.

MiM if you want more details feel free to PM me 8o

welcome ... enjoy the ride :) And as others have said post a location and you may just find some riding buddies

Thank you to Ga Batcycle for the information and pictures on his SS. My Wife's sold on the new one. Whether we buy a 2019 or a 2020 I'm not sure. I'm fine with the 2019 SLR they have at Crockett. We did get a price and seemed a fair price. I'm hoping they will come down just a little more though (typical buyer). I have my Honda SxS insured through USAA/Progressive and was going to look at a quote this morning. Are there any suggestions for insurance providers?

I haven't used him personally but there's a guy on here Dan Hererra who writes insurance policies for slingshots. There are several here who have used his services.

Clear and sunny here, highs in the low 70's lows in the 50's - - considering what others are going through I hate to complain, but after being in the Philippines its cold here - highs are not that much different, but over there it was very humid and here it is not - 70's and dry feels much colder to these old bones 8|

Could be worse... 40 and raining here. Started as freezing rain this morning =O
