My belief is the harness is only as good as how you fit it which directly reflects how comfortable it it. When I push the SS a little harder than normal I tighten down on the harness. When this is done I believe there is no way I am going to come out of it. It secures me enough to the seat that when I go around corners or brake aggressively I don't move in the seat at all. This allows me to focus more on driving than positioning my body in the seat.
On Arkansas Hwy 16 from Clinton to Ozark is a series of turns for 60 miles where I have rode it once without the harness and once with the harness. On the day without the harness my body was sore from bracing myself in the turns.
The harness will take a little getting used to when you first start riding with it because they are restrictive. You will learn to adapt to it. If you decide to ride with them looser for comfort then you are trading comfort for safety.
They are not uncomfortable to use and they make us feel more secure in the Sling.

for panel removal look at painters how to in the tech section.
Berts harness bar is a great product. I found if used with the stock seats it places the seat belt in a position that will rub the paint work inside the hoop area. With the harness bar the belts did not rub my neck that much because the way they go around the seat.
The harness bar works best with seats that have cut outs in them. -
I did use a 4 point with the stock seats for a while with out a problem.
When I put in the new seats I changed up the mounting positions for the harness.
These mounts do not work well with the stock seats because the harness and buckle will rub on the painted parts. -
I took @kenny_h to his word. My Sumitomo HTR Z II will be delivered today. On the rear I have run a Bridgestone that went quickly and Hankook Venus which has lasted about 7K. The Hankook has had good reliable traction that is easy to control when in breaks away.

Our heart hurts with the passing of a friend and the pain Pam is feeling at this time.
Peace be with you. -
WOW Ej!! You truly are a mile hog.
A little envious. -
Shaun,
Not really sure about the dealers around you, maybe @DKF Texas could lead you in a good direction.
I know the dealership in Little Rock sold quite a few to Texans before the state allowed them to be sold.
Welcome to the SS community. -
Yes I have. But you can dial down the sensitivity of the proximity sensor which will help.

Viper 3105 with prox sensor.

I will be keeping track of you and see if there is somewhere we are near each other. I'll try and hit up friends at work and spread the word about your adventure.

Really like what you are doing. It is one of my favorite charities.
Your going to have the time of your life on your journey.
I am looking to meeting up with you at SSITS this year. -
Two of us are leaving Wednesday afternoon and staying around Nashville so we can get in early Thursday.
We will also be going to Eureka Springs in September. -
I have 17,000 on the front.
I moved away from the stock on the rear. I am getting ready to buy my 4th rear tire (original one lasted 4500, it was fun!!!). -
Are any of you going to the SSITS this year? It's going to a lot of fun.

Something to be aware of when removing the pulley. My axle had the double nut modification done with green lock tight put on the spline and axle threads. To remove the pulley from the spline I had to use a 7 ton pulley while heating the spline area.
When I reinstalled the pulley I only used the green lock tight on the axle thread . Has not move in 3000 miles. -
From Maumelle. I know 4 others around the Littlerock area.

The exhaust shop I used took 2.5 round stock pipe and compressed it into an oval shape using a bench vise. The oval pipe was about 60% more expensive than the round.
-
We have been running this rear exit exhaust for over a year now and love it. -
I have to be careful with the mods because the bank only allows so much.
