I have my halos on the neutrino and for some reason they delay about 5 seconds going on and off.

I was reading the manual this weekend, and I think it may have something to do with what port you connected it to. There's certain one that has delay, which holds a bigger amp I think. I have my halo connected to port one, and it turns on and off instantly.

I installed the neutrino block this weekend, setup the halo kit, and also the bypass headlight kit. It took me hours, but in the end, it's all worth it. I was so happy that I can finally turn off my headlights and power on the halo. While turning on and off the the SS to acc mode, I tried to start up the SS to take it for a ride, then all I kept hearing is a "tick tick" sound.

Then, I saw a red light battery icon shows on the dash. That's when I knew I messed up so bad..... i thought I forgot to hook up the battery all the way. Tried to start it up again, and same results... This time, I kept it in acc mode, and went to my neutrino black box to see what the current voltage. My jaws dropped when it showed 10.5V. =O

So I disconnected the battery, got my battery tender JR, and it's been charging for about 24 hours. From what I could remember, from a dead battery like this, it takes about 40-50 hours to fully charge it, but that's when I was charging a motorcycle battery before.

I'll wait it out for another day.. my SS is almost 2 years old this october.. is it worth waiting to fully charge this battery, or should I just go ahead and buy a new battery?

I have a Scorpio alarm on my Sling and really like it. If you subscribe to the Rever app it has all kinds of cool features. It texts me when the sling is started or if there is a shock to the sling. It will also tell me where the sling is at and map out the routes traveled, miles traveled, and share them in their community.

I really don't mind much if folks sit in my Sling and take pictures. I have walked up on people sitting in my Sling and offered to take the picture. When I do a show I think every kid ends up getting a pic in my sling.

it seems that most people here have the scorpio as well.. Which model and what features do you have?

I called scorpion and asked for an alarm that has proximity sensor, GPS, and smartphone ability.

He quoted me $520 for all the parts that I need for this setup with the coupon only he can give and a total savings of $200. I asked for a written quote with all the parts, and he said he can only say it verbally, which is kinda odd why he won’t do it.

I know it’s been years since I got a security alarm quote for any vehicle, but I find this really weird..

I mean it’s a scorpion brand, which i have never heard of until now, unlike Viper that has repetition.

Is security alarm this expensive nowadays? ?(

the definitely make sense! I never thought of that...

sometimes I just wish that the hood does open up like that, it’s hard to work in the front sometimes with the way how it open and close.

I thought about getting the extended hinges too but it looks like it’s caused more trouble for more people here than good..

It is so funny that this topic came up now for even as I write this there is a lil war going on with an employee with an alarm in his car and 5 or 6 mischievous juveniles. The kids sneak up, jostle the car to set off the alarm then running off as the owner goes charging outside, this has been going on all morning to the humor of everybody else in the building! :D
    There it goes again!!
    Bill

This is so funny! reminds me of a guy here in VA that has the same issue with kids messing around with him, loitering in his lawn and all.

He decided to put up an electric fence to keep those kids away until one of them got zap, parents complain and got him involve. Then, county is asking why he put up his electrical fence on a lawn that he doesn’t even own.

Now, i just need to find a way to zap people when they seat in the SS or touch any panel of it!

I had the same issue with people wanting to get in my Slingshot. I started doing some research on security alarms. My Slingshot is a 2018 SL and the Polaris OEM alarm won’t work due to Polaris changing to the ride command radio in 2018. I contacted Scorpio customer service and told them what I wanted. I settled on the Scorpio SRX-900 with perimeter sensor. I also have the Neutrino fuse box. I use the RED wire coming from the neutrino with the inline fuse. This wire will provide constant power to the alarm. Easy to install, only three wires, power, ground, and switch. You can also adjust the perimeter sensor to your liking. I have had the alarm for around 3 months and I really like it. It’s fun to watch people’s reactions when they get to close. You can add GPS tracking to this alarm for a extra cost. Give Scorpio customer service a call if you are interested, they are very helpful. Hope this helps with your decision.

Ill give them a call and see what they can help me with. Then I might pm you if i have any questions or need help with install. Thanks!

Check with @mniron he makes a great set of hood pins for the SS
    You can see them here

    Thanks @MACAWS I’ll pm him.

that’s actually what I want. The SS stays in the garage anyway, but i want to annoy every single person that come closer to SS outside

what kind of scorpio alarm is that?

I already have the digital guard dawg so i’m sure they won’t be able to start it without the key fob.

I really like the perimeter and shock sensor alarm, would be nice if it has the gps too.

now that you mention it, i do remember those hood lock pins, and usually in muscle cars..
i’ll have to look into that.

This sunday, i took the SS for a ride to get lunch. When I got back, I saw a couple seating on the SS while taking pictures. Meanwhile, there’s a couple more that’s sitting by the hood area and taking more pictures..

I’m so heated at that time that I almost threw my lunch at all of them, but that’s just a waste of lunch and i was hungry.

I’ve been holding off on getting alarm all this time, but I think it’s time to get one.

I’ve looked around on what’s offered in the market, there’s one that slingmods sell, and the one that polaris sell from the website. Although, it doesn’t say if it’s compatible with mine.

Those who have an alarm already, help me choose one, not sure if it’ll be a problem, but here’s my current setup.

    2016 Base
    - digital guard dawg installed
    - neutrino fuse box installed

I need an alarm that can be hook into a neutrino if possible and also offer perimeter alarm system to deter those people who like to seat in someone’s property, and a smart app integration would be nice.

    Help me choose one.

I finally got my first led hooked up. All I can say is that it’s definitely worth the install! Got tons of settings to play with, but so far i really like it.

Shoutout to @Bigdog for the help in the install every step of the way.

One downside though, I noticed my center headlights are not lighting up anymore..Will have to look in the cabling and put the stock halogen for testing tomorrow.

I’ll also check the fuse and see if it’s blown or something. What’s the fuse number for the center headlights?

    blown-up :-)

( this is my favorite light pose )

I also got the same kit (version 2). the instructional manual is trash. i already have my wire ran, just need to know where each plug goes into the fuse box. And what fuse to remove first?

Can you please send photo on how you did yours before I still thru anything? @Jimmy540i

Hooking up the battery is a pain because you had to take of the positive terminal. From here on out anytime you need to work on electronics just take off the negative terminal.

Hanging the neutrino on the frame is a good idea.

The hard part is over.. tomorrow for fun stuff.. figuring out how to hook all of this into the app. I temporarily put it in the frame, because I didn't want the wiring to get caught in the latch when I close the hood, but i'll think of a better place tomorrow. Or just leave it there? I feel like its close to the engine heat.

i finally got it all hooked up, but i had to take a call it for the day. Removing the terminal from the battery is a PITA.

Whoever decided to put it there need to get kick in the nuts!

As soon as everything is connected, I turned on the SS, and neutrino box is alive! I didn’t get to hook up any led lights on it, but that’s on my radar tomorrow. I can’t feel my back anymore. I feel like I was doing yoga trying to put it all together.

    I'm 27 feeling like 72 afterwards... ;(

This is a temporary setup for now.. Still want to clean up the cabling and possibly get a waterproof box like @Bigdog did.

When i was cleaning up, I found my chaser LED lights.. should be fun to try it out tomorrow. I'm guessing red wire of any led lights go to any circuit number, and the black goes to ground, which is on both ends?

I don't know why it came with 2 sticky thing.. any ideas?

I just looked at your pictures...you ran the wire through the frame tube.. good idea, just make sure you tie it up so it doesn’t hang down and catch on anything...

yes! The hole is there, it took me some time to find it. And yes, I will definitely zip tie everything once all of this works.

ok, you will have to cut off the terminal on the red neutrino wire to get it connected to the battery run. Looks like you will need to strip the wire about 1/4-1/2” don’t twist the end just stick it straight in and screw down the cap and the wire will spread out around the metal cone for connection..

I’ve had the neutrino a while and the idea to run a fat wire from the battery to under the hood has been there for a while....if you see my pictures I put my new electronics tray on top of the place where the old exhaust system was located. I had to switch my exhaust to the welter duel exhaust to get rid of the pot belly stove.... so my electronics wouldn’t melt. I got the welter last year and installed it this spring...

I plan on using my neutrino to control my 4 piece heated riding gear...individually.

thanks @Bigdog I knew i’m not going crazy over here... :D I’m going to remove that terminal and get all of this connected! I can’t thank you enough. Once I got it all to work, I’ll make a video for the whole install so nobody has to go thru this hassle again.

I got the wire kit but didn’t use it...if you look at my pictures I ran a 4 gauge wire from the battery to my new electronics tray for my neutrino. I got tired of running multiple wires to the battery. So I installed a hot and ground terminal block there as well. All of my future battery connections will happen at my terminal block.

I just used the neutrino hot wire just the way it came. Let me look for that kit to see exactly what we’re talking about... give me a few minutes.

That’s actually pretty neat idea. I think I might just start to do the same thing if I can’t use this kit. If you have the harness kit, what made you not to use it?

I just thought I’d buy the black box along with the harness kit for “easier” install. A little DIY that i can follow thru, but it didn’t work out like that, although, I like the pre cut cables but it’s pointless to keep selling these kits if they don’t have step by step guide on how to install it.

Meanwhile, they have videos on how to apply graphics kit that doesn’t need an instructional videos. it’s self explanatory..

this kit on the other hand.. is NOT.

But I do appreciate all your help guys!! @Bigdog @studiopeg Without all your support, i would have asked for a refund by now.

The red hot wire needs to go to the battery....or a constantly hot connection....not one that goes on and off with the key...

Did you get the extension wire kit with the big long red wire for the battery run?

yes, i got the harness kit.that big long red wire is already routed to that tube. The other end of it is already by the battery area ready to connect.
The other end of that long red wire is the one I’m holding in the picture with the brown tube looking thing. Keep in mind that the red cable with terminal is coming from the neutrino black box.

Notice the black wire loom on both end. Did you get the wire kit as well?

thanks @Bigdog! I got everything else connected except one. I know i didn’t ran the red wire incorrect, but how does this two connect? Do I need to remove the terminal on this so i can use it just like the one in the yellow cable?

thanks to you all guys! I finally found the “hole.”

i wrapped the red wire with red looms and ran it thru, and i also did the same thing with the yellow wire, then tapped it using the grey cable from the cigarette lighter.

Now, time to plug it in to the neutrino black box. There’s several cable coming from it. Which one goes to what and what’s not to use?

    1. Red cable w/terminal ->
    2. Black cable w/terminal ->
    3. Black USB cable?
    4. Yellow thin cable ->
    5. Grey thin cable ->
    6. Short red cable?
    7. phone line?
