@MrGrey... Is that like 50 Shades, or super slow SS color type of grey? Just so we know which way to tease you.
Either way... Oh @ericastar76, meet Mr. Grey, MG, meet Erica.
@sideseatdriver.. it’s both actually..
For those who have converted to auto transmission, what set up did you end up getting (Standard shift lever, digital push button, paddle shifter)?
Any pros and cons of the setup? How do you like it so far?
Please don’t be shy to post pictures of your setup.
thanks for this! just ordered my set earlier this morning. Got an ETA of 25th. I have 2016 base slingshot, this should fit with no other add ons right?
Just wanted to give a special shoutout to @lrobbi for going out of his way to helping a noobie SS owner like myself on transporting my SS for recall to Coleman. He deserves recognition for what he did and thanks for showing me your SHOT. I know now where to get my ideas from for future mods!
Display MoreThere is going to be no significant difference in the install between the headers, if anything the 1320 is a little easier because the Alpha header has one of the bolts to the exhaust slightly covered and you can not use a socket to tighten it down.
Here is the bolt location on the Alpha -
Here it is on the 1320 -
We have tested both headers and naturally aspirated they are going to gain around the same power, however if you plan on going supercharged eventually, the 1320 will make more power. We believe that is because of the better merge collector on the 1320 compared to the Alpha

Dyno of the 1320 vs. Alpha on a DDMWorks Supercharger kit -
Hope that helps,

Thanks for clearing that up, Dave! This is also another reason why I got the 1320 due to the placement of the bolt location on Alpha but that Dyno comparison though... WOW..
go with 1320 header! i got the v2, and it's so sexy! the install is not difficult, and when i started it up, i felt like the beast inside my SS has awaken, i knew it's worth the money and the time to install.
P.S: The header might show some light smoke on the first start, but this is normal since this is burning the oil, very NORMAL. Don't freak out like i did!
holy shit! that blue is nice, making me want to get SC now, but i must hold off!! don't tempt me.
thanks again you guys! i have sent irob a PM. hopefully he can assist. i really appreciate it.
I'm still confused though. Are we stuck at Coleman's after dropping off the Sling?
no sir, we'll take an uber home.
I'm somewhat close to you and happy to help. What is your timeline? Also a little confused as to your plan... if we both take the Sling to Coleman's, how are we getting anywhere after that?
i have until next Monday before i get back to work and i wanted to get it done before then. If the said timeline won't work for your schedule, we can arrange something in the later day. Coleman said he can get all the recalls done and the oil change done in a day, supposedly, but i don't think that's gonna happen. I plan to drop it off there and they can contact me when it's done so it'll be a 2 day task.
thanks guys! i hope someone's close will see this ad!
Hey guys,
i recently underwent an eye surgery this past weekend and sadly to say, the recovery might take longer than expected so I'm unable to drive my SS to Coleman Powersports in Woodbridge, VA for the recall but i really want to get this over with so when i'm able to drive, i can finally have fun!
I need a driver that could help me drive my SS while i ride a shotgun so i can sign whatever paperwork waits for me there. If anyone is around the area, who's willing to help me, please pm me. i'm located in Latham, MD.
As for reward, beer and food is on me..
you guys are awesome! i didn't get a chance to take it for a ride since i didn't finish putting the side panel back on LOL. screws weren't lining up and i couldn't feel my back so i decided to call it a night..
Tomorrow, i shall finish and enjoy it!
Although, base on joes review. To get the "sweet spot" put it on A or B mode, and slowly tap the other button to open the valve slowly.. but it move so quick. any tips and tricks?
how long do you think this will burn until no longer visible?
finally installed the headers and the exhaust. After the install, with the hood open and side panel off. i was amazed of the sound, BUT i notice that i see a light smoke coming directly from the pipe of the header. Is this normal? i shut the engine off, thinking there's a leak, but all screws are good.
I finally got my new 1320 Header V2 from CycleSprings with the discount code "save25" which took off $25 from original price of $294, and got charge for $20 since it doesn't come with a gasket so technically I saved $5 LOL. Not sure why it's not included already in the kit, but it's whatever.
Now, my alpha variable exhaust should have been delivered today, but due to weather condition here in MD, i may not get it until tomorrow or so.
Since I have an appointment to drop off the SS next tuesday to Coleman Powersports in Woodbridge, I was thinking to let dealer install both but i'm so excited to install it myself as soon as exhaust comes. How many of you have let the dealer install your parts and how many of you have done it yourself?
Also, I watched Joe's video so many times from Slingmods in installing these, and i couldn't happier that i purchase his same set up. How many of you here is running the same set up? Pros and Cons?
Next mod will have to be Alpha Cold Air Intake!
i'm looking for a 1320 header v2 preferrably used or new. anyone selling theirs?
was driving around bladensburg area earlier and saw a grey SS pulling in to the shop. who's getting wrench time around here?
