also you might want to use a switch for the Illumination day/night cable off the gauge. Or just change the screen’s luminance using the app in settings.

even though i might be a recently new owner of a slingshot. I noticed that the need for a temp gauge is one thing I needed. So I did my research. Saw many gave good advice on how to use adapters to achieve getting a somewhat reliable temp reading. So I just had previously had found out that the ECM language is J1939. Which is primarily used on Heavy Duty Semi trucks, marine applications, and Contruction vehicles. WHich i have no idea why Polaris decided that was a good way to start. And they solved that issue with the pro star motor by using standard OBD2. Anyways, let’s get to the point. There will be no better temp reading than what the ECU is getting. In order for that to work. You would need a gauge that operates on the J1939 platform. So I literally found a gauge and just tested it. And it’s a super affordable at the same time you can display dual pids or dual info using your IPhone or android phone to control it. On ebay the gauge is about $94!!! I know now you’re like tell me what the hell this thing is. Lol.
The gauge to get is:
Here are some shots:
Now you can wire it up how ever ya want and I recommend downloading the manual. It’ll have the wiring diagram. All I used is 4 wires. The rest are for other sensors etc.. here are my snap shots of the wiring diagram of both the service manual and gauge’s manual.
VERY SIMPLE TO INSTALL and heck you can have more than one if you need more gauges. All the necessary info is all in the ECM. And this allows you to display oil pressure, map, etc…. Oh and for those that find this helpful. Your welcome!

also manage to install the lower 2020 accent panel. Got the DRL portion working. Just have to get some resistors to make the sequential turn signal part to work without freezing or erroring out. Lol I know it’s not perfectly symmetrical on the accent panels. Its due the front diffuser bar is bent and needs to be replaced or straightened so I can realign it.

Did you have to wait long for that wing?
I ordered the other one in a Medium.
I inquired on a shipping date and they said.....
2 weeks!
(SHIT!!!...I can't believe I just said that...........here we go again!!)
Omfg speaking of that wing/spoiler. So I ordered it like April 22 and got them in May 12th! In between they had said the first order was lost somehow and second order got here week. Which I almost cancelled the order and was looking at another spoiler. But once I knew the second one was on its way I was satisfied. Though you have to be aware on the alignment if you have the “afterburner” leds as well installed. Just had to make sure I wasnt blocking the top row of those leds. I dont like the screws it comes with, I might end up using rivets. And if you plan to drop the rear deck panel, then you need to make sure your screws dont go through that lip that tucks under the upper rear deck. Otherwise youll have to remove the 3 screws every time you do remove that panel. Which i am learning they are stripping the plastic and loosing their grip each time. Just sharing my mistakes and issues.

So basically install a 100 ohm resistor to every positive wire on each aftermarket turn signal, right?

You Sir —- have definitely been bitten by the bug - coming along very nicely !!!
Yeah… lol actually,…. Remember I had said I had wanted one since they came out. So since then I had been designing and planning which route to go with. Once I got one. I finally can use what I saved up and get it to a stage that I would be happy with. Also having tons of fun doing so. But I do appreciate the comment though. I also have to find some time to tend to my other projects. I should start doing some sort of YouTube channel on all my projects i got going on. Lol anywho, Im just glad to just purge and share my builds with yall.

lovenpain , what kind of windshield is on your sling?
It’s the slingline’s windshield that goes with the flip top roof. I got them both from SLINGMODS. The windshield is freaking awesome add on. Since the new law passed about not having to wear helmets due to encloser. Makes it really nice to travel around town without having debris or wind being a problem. Except on the interstate. I will wear a helmet for that.

Gotcha. Didn't know temps were worth monitoring. And I second that last question. Where'd you get it at? Almost looks like it was made for that spot!
Thanks! I got it on ebay here
Also I did as well thought it fit perfect in that spot! Also, even with me covering it and the top, the unit I had left on since i got it and it gets enough sun to keep the battery fully charged at all times. I have yet see it lower down. When theres no movement it automatically goes to sleep. Its a cheap investment imho.

Imho, so far the commander has been freaking awesome vs stock. I to leave it on City. It seems just fine with me. I went to test all the modes just by throttling in neutral. And saw how “touchy” the higher two modes can be. I do agree that this Pedal Commander is pretty much a poor man’s turbo. Actually, it’s more like a Apexi VAFC 2 controller on an s2000 or any vTech honda. But on the S2k, i had my vTech kick in at 5400rpms. And boy it was a whole lot more fun that being at stock. So this pedal commander acts like a vtech controller. Not to assume that everyone has a chance to drive a honda with vtech though. Though the Apexi VAFC or AFC (the V is obvious for Vtech) is mainly an air fuel controller. Takes control of the MAS or MAP. Anyways, i did instal the ZZP Hood hinge kit. Man I love that it allows to micro adjust the hood were you want it to rest at. Also got both my Harnesses installed. Though the shoulder belts location might change in the future. But overall allows me to truly “feel” the SLing’s movements. Always loved a 4-5 point harnesses when I was racing in SCCA events back in the day. Now waiting for the new headlights to come in. Though I did buy both the aftermarket 2020 Headlights upper and lower panels with LEDs. I decided not to go that route. So probably put them up for sale. But the set that I just ordered is what I have in my “vision” for the over all build.

added some stuff. Got the pedal commander and more parts coming in today. Waiting on my spoiler to get here as well.

thanks everyone!! At the moment, I did splurge a little. I ordered the 2020 front upper and lower accent led lights/turns. Trying to figure how to wire them in using the oem harnesses. Also trying to figure out where that dang oem fog light harness in the dash/radio area. Previous owner did install the blue and white floor leds. So they look really nice at night. Ive been worn out since i got it. A lot of my friends wanted a ride around town. I love driving the slingshot. But due to my back issues. I can only tolerate it for a certain length of time sadly. But man oh man, the adrenaline rush i get is equal to driving a sport bike. Also even though i own two convertibles. The slingshot is a whole new experience vs a regular car convertible. So happy that I own one now and excited to start customizing it. But glad I found a group that has the info i need.

Last monday i finally went to pick up my 2015 SLingshot SL. It only had 5200 miles on it and in pristine condition. Previous owner Also included factory full cover and the Nelson Riggs half cover. Just ordered the 2020 upper and lower accent panels and leds.
