It's hard to keep it stock because you want to make it your own so it has some personality and doesn't just look like a rental. Then you get used to the power and and thrill of riding puppy love stage slowly fades so you decide forced induction is a good idea to reunite the relationship you have with your gas pedal. Then you realize you and your wifes butt hurts from all the long rides so you have to get a louder stereo to drown out her complaints.... you eventually buy seats because she learns sign language and loud stereo no longer does the trick. I could go on with this story for days.....

Yes, with a V8 strapped to it.
ohh right right... so sick though & so worth it!! Would love to experience the power to the road on that beast.

Jesus. Who's the person with over 50k in aftermarket equip?! Someone with an amphibious sling made of gold perhaps?

ohh I definitely don't have any regrets... my tone of voice is very playful. I've been aggressively buying so much stuff for this thing the past 8 months and it's been such an exciting process. Learning, researching, buying... even troubleshooting is kinda fun! Whenever I have a stressful day at work I log-on and see what's new in the sling community... my girlfriend gets jealous but everyone here has been so helpful and it's awesome to share the same passion and excitement with others who have such a similar unique interest. I really hope I can make it to Maggie to shake everyone's hand this year and put a face to the names. I don't know what im going to do once all modifications are complete lol half the fun is building it!!!

I honestly think I need to see a therapist.

It's amazing to look back two years ago to see what was offered as Aftermarket add-ons compared to what's available today from all of these amazing vendors... and some people have really opened their wallets: v8 motor swap, 4 wheel conversion kits and some of these incredible stereo systems that are worth a base model slingshot all by themselves. (Some more obnoxious and unnecessary than others). I'm jealous of those who are content "Keeping The Slingshot Stock" ... for me and many others life it too short and it's a constant itch to make it faster, louder or cooler. I'm curious to see who has been BIT by the mod virus... How serious is your disease?

I didn't know we were allowed to post that yet!! Did I miss the drum roll? Lol

I'm in!! ... but I'm sure you already knew that lol

Count me in! Kamangus highway is fun and there are some natural waterfalls with gorgeous swimming areas with rocks to jump off and a picnic area on site. Would be a perfect spot. Gorgeous views and twisties up that way! Did a run with a bunch of friends over the summer but sadly I was the only sling!

nice! Ya the rev paint job accents the body lines so nicely. It's a bit complicated.... tons of prep work since I'm smoothing out all of the textured panels but makes a statement especially when dropped to the ground like that!

Welll... (Sigh)... Mine is getting custom paint right now. I pretty much copied Mitch with Rev Dynamics. I fell in love with his build and called him to have him do mine. With shipping it was too much money... so after hours and HOURS OF researching every custom paint job on every forum I could find I decided I was copying him. I called him up out of decency and respect to send him money for stealing his idea but he was such a nice guy and told me to just buy his digital accuair air suspension instead so that's what I did! He's currently making me a custom air tank for the suspension since I have two subwoofers in my enclosures where the tank normally goes. I photo shopped my rims on this photo and I added detail to the mud guards and few other things. I'm doing red instead of orange and two stripes on hood..few things different. I'll post when done. Doing motor, and air ride while panels are off for paint.

Life is too short to keep it stock !! @jluna317 and we live 25 min from each other so we'll be able to post updates and comparisions once we finish install. We both have alpha turbo and we both have same tune, Springs and SCG-1 boost controllers. I'm interested to see how my 22" 295 tire holds traction compared to Jose's wide 20x335. He also has the free flowing alpha street sport exhaust while I prefer my quiet and more restrictive alpha side exhaust. Should be fun! We text each other daily like excited school girls... I think my GF is getting jealous! Hah

I was waiting for this post lol. I'm the other bloke awaiting a motor. I have Alpha everything and didn't think Henry was going to pull through. But he called me when I was just days away from going DDM ... I admit I have a weak spot for Alpha. I'm sure both motors are equally as strong. Can't wait to post pics!

I would love to but I'm all over the place lately with work and family stuff. I was going to go to see @Jeff@DDMWorks maggie and get a DDM built engine installed before hitting maggie but then things turned in a different direction. If I can I'm going to try to get out there.
-
@Slingrazor I would love to try a supercharged sling if anyone would be so kind in my area to let me take a whip! I'm sure they are both equally as fun as are blondes and brunettes!
-
Evidently you have not been around the DDM SC. I have seen people jump when the BOV goes. That's in their car with the windows rolled up.Now this is ment in humor. The only blow off the turbo is doing better than the SC is the sound of the engine exploding.
Whoops, did I go there?lol touche my friend! You are right though I've never experienced SC.... all I know is I love my TC!

Nothing is sexier and more exciting than the feeling of a turbo winding out powder and feeling it drive and pull faster and harder and when you're finished hammering away, you get the satisfying sound of the blowoff valve to remind you that you are a f-ing king. Superchargers just whine the whole time like a nagging wife.

- soo my JL 6.5" Marine coax speakers will fit yes? And what's this I hear about them making new front pods? What will they hold for speakers exactly? I hate how my leg covers the speaker when I'm driving and passenger leg does the same. It if we're moved in towards the seat a few inches it would make all the difference. @SSVworks ?
