My Slingshot is in FL, I am flying down on March 7th and we are going the first weekend. There are supposed to be a few different events they are mentioned / planned in the Florida Slingshot Cruisers Facebook Group.

Do we know what vendors are going to be there?

Hey Everyone - I am looking for some suggestions as to where to put additional switches once you've filled the switches in the dash? I have an SLR that I am looking to add some more switches for various accessories and heard that someone might have some panels for switches? Has anyone seen anything that you can point me to? I've looked through a lot of the sites and forums and haven't come up with much.

Where have you put or seen others put switches? I've heard people are putting some in the center console area?

Coming from a Goldwing, I feel that a lot of the mods are way cheaper than motorcycle ones, yes I know there are a lot more things that can be added here or there but they really don't seem to be that expensive in comparison.

That said when I got my Goldwing a very wise person told me that it was as someone else said here just a downpayment on the additions / modifications I was going to make. I laughed and said there was no way I was going to change it up that much little did I know at the time...

Anyway I've only owned my sling for a short period of time and just added a few things but I'm well over the $1k mark but well under the $5k mark for now. I have a laundry list of things that I want to add some now and other later. I will be well over that $5k mark but the end of this year I am sure.

With the Adirondacks event in September, I'm not sure that it will be easy to get another "Major" even around here but that doesn't mean we wont. The biggest problem will be getting the turnout. Some of these events down south have upwards of 500 slingshots which obviously makes it worth while for companies to show up and promote / sell their wares.

I bought my Slingshot in October and I've yet to see another one just driving around here, I can also say the same about the 3000+ miles I drove down / around the east coast until I got down to Florida where I've seen many just driving around. I am sure that they are out there i just haven't seen them yet. Over the weekend of Noel's Toy Ride there were well over 100 Slingshots that showed up.

That said the various forums do seem to indicate that people as far down as say NJ and beyond are looking for places to go / things to do. It won't happen overnight but I think it can / will happen if we start putting things together and start getting the numbers people will start paying attention.

Oh and I agree that New England has some awesome roads but they (in my opinion) can't hold a candle to the roads down in VA, NC, TN and GA. Its not that the roads are that much better its that they have a much different mentality down there, take the mountain roads for example the speed limits down there are 55 even in the sharpest turns, sure they have signs showing them but up here those turns would have the speed limits dropped down to 15 mph. Oh and they also have passing lanes on a lot of the roads and the slower vehicles usually are in the right lane. Again just a different mentality.

I got them Installed at the Toy Ride and I have to say they certainly to help with your field of view / the blind spots but the distortion can take some getting used to, it can even be a little disorienting. I think they are a great addition for sure but just know they might take some getting used to.

I thought owning a Goldwing was bad when it came to Modifications / Customization. I can't believe the amount of items that are available for the Slingshot in a relatively short amount of them that they've been out.

I live in Massachusetts and haven't seen a single other one in the wild yet (I know they are out there though) That said I went down to Helen, GA then down to FL where they are much more common. I was lucky enough to be able to store my Slingshot down there for the Winter and go down and visit her and my friends a few times. I went on the Cycle Springs Toy Ride and that is when I got the bug to make mine unique as none of the Slingshot I saw were "Stock".

Coincidentally my Slingshot isn't far from Clearwater which is where Cycle Springs is. Needless to say that has not been good for my wallet at all but no one can say my Slingshot looks stock anymore =)

Just got back from a trip down to FL to visit my "Snowbird" Slingshot... I flew down last week and went to the Cycle Springs / Slingshot Only Christmas Rides / Toy Run. It was such a great time and coming from up there where seeing a Slingshot is so rare / unusual to this was quite enjoyable. Talk about some of the nicest people in the world!!!

I was considering getting extended warranty as I'm getting close to my two years. Unfortunately I actually read the fine print on exclusions. There was one that basically said coverage would be denied for any vehicle having a racing modification even if the needed repair had nothing to do with that modification. Like many of us here, I've got more money in mods than it cost new and will eventually be getting a SC. I can understand Polaris protecting themselves and I doubt they would turn just about everything down on everyone. Unfortunately the wording is such that we can't really count on having a true warranty and too much conjecture left up to dealers.

Personally I wouldn't worry about it at all, this is probably one of those loopholes that they can use if they need to. Race to me means on a track not on the street. I don't see them denying coverage for anything unless you are racing it on a track. If I add a Supercharger or Turbo and never take it on a track how can that be "Race". Its semantics and more than likely won't be an issue, heck some dealers actually do the modifications themselves. I am certain those dealers will be more than happy to warranty whatever.

One of the guys I rode with in GA recently has a really cool little Dash Cam (Said it was only $50) Strapped to the back of the drivers side Roll Bar facing behind him as he does / leads a lot of group rides. This is a great idea as I've always said having a camera in your vehicle is cool but its awesome when you have someone in front of or behind you with a camera catching you in action.

Here's one of the videos he shot / edited / posted of our ride. I am the first one in the video and my friends are behind me.

We are happy to to beat any competitor on pricing for extended warranties for those who are preparing to look at options once that time comes. We have been selling protection plans since 2011 through various forums and have well over 1000+ plans sold since then.
To get a quote, contact @cball86 or myself and we will be happy to get your set up and protected!

Are you offering the Polaris Warranty or an alternate / after market one?
