Disclaimer:
I am aware that headphones while driving are illegal in most (probably all) states.
I am aware some consider headphones dangerous while operating a motorcycle.
I understand these arguments...but this ain't that thread. If you disagree with wearing them, please start your own.I've been riding motorcycles for years (more than I'd like to admit). I've gone through many headphones.
I've experimented with audio in the SS. With the cabin noise (even with a top) the stereo (even with upgrades) wasn't a good enough option especially when considering total sound exposure/potential damage. I tried noise cancelling headsets, which were too cumbersome and got in the way of my hat (my shaved head catches melanoma like nobody's business). I turned my attention to headphones. I searched for the best headphones; I searched for the best headphones for motorcycles; I looked at options that were found in both searches.I ordered the RHA MA750. I've driven with them several times now, and they're wonderful. They're designed to be a tight fit and so decrease outside noise (I was able to significantly lower my stereo volume--I play from my phone). They're great for sound reproduction. They're stainless steel with reinforced cable for motorcycle durability.
I'm not saying they're the end all be all...so if ya'll have found a better solution (keeping in mind the disclaimers above), lemme hear it!

Man...you don't even know. It is not to be missed...not at all what I expected, it's been even better.
Look us up...

that's nice @rabtech what are your lift details?

I have the Escort Redline...super sensitive, great for back road driving
There have been a couple of times I've gotten a hard ping, was like DAMN! I didn't even see him! Slowed down so Leo could catch up...a few minutes later I drive through the speed trap...whew!!You guys mounting by windshield...are you getting good rearward exposure? I was worried about the fin blocking its view...?
-
Ill have to refer you to @Painter to answer that question
That mad genius is everywhere!

Playing nice with the local leo's goes a long way...
OTOH, anybody having any luck mounting radar detectors in the SS? I was thinking of hanging mine from the Stinger...? -

@Bill from Hahn RaceCraft great post!...but it would only let me 'like' once
@MACAWS I hear ya...I'm running the JRI 2 way which are unbelievable...but a 3 way would be even better. I accelerate really hard out of turns and on bumpy AR roads, to be able to weaken the rebound on the rear would help even more, IMHO -
I'm looking at the classic triad: CAI, Header, Exhaust (and tune eventually). I know a lot of you guys have worn multiple systems in the search to find what's best you you...so help a brother out and talk about the pros and cons of different combo's. It seems like most people are going with the Alpha CAI, 1320 header (opposing arguments welcome, that's just what I see mentioned most often)...but the exhaust...
I've been looking at the Alpha side, the Fab, and the 1320...thoughts? I've been leaning toward the Fab (never actually heard it), because it's adjustable and I lean toward the loud persuasion. Love to hear your feedback!PS...Yes I know, I should go to an event and see which I like best...but the first one I can go to is in AR in Sept...and I just ain't gonna wait that long...

I'm sure they all do...and you need to sell your setup to me...

I will more than likely go with a summer tire when I replace. I have ridden 1 time in the rain and never "intend" to let that happen again. Literally if it is even a chance of rain, the sling stays in its house.
I'm looking for a comfortable ride and good traction only. Probably go with the upgraded shocks as well.
Come on over to the "Go" side, brother...the mods never stop...btw...I'm smoking BBQ today, if you're out cruising around...

Great thread, I've been looking into tires as well...specifically I'm looking for sticky over durability (if I get several thousand miles I'll be happy), don't need for wet or cold conditions...thoughts?
