Welcome, I may be wrong, but, 2015 is when the sling came out,.. only 2 colors available, grey and red, might want to check to see if your sling is newer or it was painted. If it's painted, cool, nice find. A lot of good people and info here, stay safe and have fun

Kenerg I installed the same license plate bracket and I have the Polaris rear fender and had to put a slight bend on the bracket so as to Not hit the fender, again??? But, I do like the looks and sturdy metal plate bracket!!

Is there a way to increase the assist given by power steering box? i drove a 2021 recently, and it was much easier to steer than my 2016.5.
any info is appreciated.
dallen1059 Polaris in 2020 and newer models made some big changes in the power steering with the addition of two different modes for driving ;
Comfort mode for regular driving,
Slingshot mode for sport driving.
You have an electronic selector switch on the steering wheel !!!
I really like this option which is just one of the many upgrades Polaris is improving with the newer Slingshots !!
Batcycle did you sell yours back to the dealer or sold them yourself when you wanted to upgrade an did they hold value on the trade ins? if you went? to the dealer?
Yes, I did trade them for the upgrades to my excellent dealership and the values did hold up very well as I was completely satisfied with all my trade deals!!!

2018 SLR for about 45k miles;
2020 R for about 24k miles;
2022 R current with only 8k miles !
All were and are 5 speed manuals!!!

Harlem8197 just be advised that what Kenerg has the 2022R is the Newest and Top of the Line Slingshot of Polaris, which is the same one that I myself own now, and it is By Far Nicer and Better than the Older Original Base Slingshots ????? Just beware these are Apple's and Oranges Apart , regarding Ride, Accessories, Handling and Performance!!!!

To each their own but I'm with you on the round bars. If I ever purchase a new one, I'd look into what's necessary and a cost to replace with the original roll bars before making a purchase.
Yes, they are interchangeable and yes the original type roll bars are more expensive (I believe) than the new round ones, and that could be the reason for round on the cheaper versions and originals on the top of the line models??

What is everyone doing for upgrades and or add-ons. I am not looking to swap out the deck or anything but just a single set of front speakers barely cuts it.
As I lok at tops I see a lot with speaker enclosures and whatnot. Is there additional line outs on the factory head unit to handle rear speakers?
possible smaller sub-options for behind the seat and needing an input for those I assume the factory head unit doesn't have any 5 volt rca jacks.
Also these seem like simple questions and usually, there are wiring diagrams and or info but struggling to find it. Is there a factory wiring diagram published? for a 2022?
Polaris did add the wiring harness for their speakers for the rear speakers that just replaces the roll hoop covers on the back and plugs in directly from the 2021 year and newer models!
Little expensive but you can choose your color options also, and you probably have or will get some coupons from Polaris for discounts on parts and accessories!!
WHat are you guys running for temp at idle and cruising?
I am new to SLingshot and have been hoving around 190/ 200 and that feels high to me.
Checked the manual and doesn't mention what the temps should be. I dont want to make any assumptions so figured I would ask.
My 2022 R runs around 194 - 196 degrees normal riding but will jump to over 200 with slower traffic and stop and go type traffic or just idling very long??

has anyone used the battery tender plug to attach there old motorcycle heated gear?
Yes, I have used and still use the battery tender type plug for my current Heated Gear, and since I have the newer Slingshot 2022, I have a battery tender type plug/receptacle built in from the Factory right next to the separate factory hot accessory receptacle !!! The new factory receptacle is installed in the newer Slingshots to attach battery tenders!!
EjFord someone said we are not allowed to report accumulated mileage of more than one Slingshot even if the same driver of all the Slingshots accumulated all the miles on each??
