rancej I have owned 4 new Slingshots since 2016 and the very first slingshot I did not have a top or different windshield. But, the last three Slingshots have all had the Polaris Slingshade tops with the stock windshields. But, now on my 2022R, I have changed the stock windshield to the new Polaris Vented windshield and I love it!! Since you have driven the slingshot without a top, now is the right time to try all the other tops before making your final decision??

Hey Guys, I was able to get out of the house a little today and took the sling for a ride. After I started the sling my "Brake Failure Light" came on. What do I need to check?

Bubblehead I just found out this week that Polaris has finally decided to address this long, long issue with brake light failure warning, but I'm not sure exactly how far back they will go and I believe it's a service type bulletin which means you have to take in for this specific issue, which means they will not be contacting everyone as a recall would or show ?? Something to do with the original mastercylinder design and having two brake sensors?

It is a warranty type item fix and only if you file or request repair? They are actually removing the two old brake sensors and brake fluids and replacing with One New Designed brake sensor?

Not sure the dealerships even have the parts yet, but maybe worth checking?

    Sorry for the long reply.

I had a 2020R and now a 2022R and have never had a heat problem and you do know about the factory vent on the passenger side that you can open and close as needed, right ??

Also, both my Slings had and have the Slingshade tops and stock windshields.

Has anyone installed the DEI Transmission Tunnel & Passenger Floor Pan Heat Shield Kit for the Polaris Slingshot (2020+) from slingmods and was it worth it and would you do it again? Thanks

Batjac I have owned 4 different year models of the Slingshot, all with stock windshields, stock exhaust, and 3 of them with the polaris Slingshade tops and have Never had exhaust fumes while driving or stopped!!!

Most of the problems I've seen or heard about usually occurring when catalytic converters are altered or new exhaust systems that comes up from the rear near top of rear tire type?

    Just Saying???

I've seen a couple old threads here and forum suggested to create another vs replying to a yr old one.. Anyway.. Machine has been sitting for a while and battery was dead. tried to revive it, but was unsuccessful. Replaced the battery and when I turn the key on, dash lights up, button lights up, but no crank. I saw in another post about hearing the fuel pump run for a couple seconds when you turn the key on.. I don't hear mine. No noises at all. I didn't have a test light, will pick one up tomorrow to check the fuses, but wanted to see if anyone has any other ideas.. I had it running a few weeks ago by jumping it, but even now trying to jump it, I get nothing... No fuel pump, no clicks, no nothing..

Did you check the main fuse at the battery location??

You mean you going to try and do it Next Year and what Time frame should we be checking ??? Just Asking??

Boomer yes I'm checking everything before I commit to this trailer and I really like the overall design, but was concerned about the tailgate and dovetail for the Slingshot loading and unloading??? Appreciate all your help and responses !!

EjFord according to my 2022 Polaris spec's my overall width is 77.9 inches, which I believe is the same for all the Slingshots?? But, I'm going to actually measure the distance of mine from outside to outside of the front tires for my exact width??? Thanks for the info and by the way what is the size of your trailer?? Just asking for references??
