Under both seats, where they mount into the center frame, there is a gap in the plastic. I ran my RCA cables from the back of the head unit along the transmission tunnel ( there's a stainless brake line to cable tie to), up through those holes to the amplifier(s) under the seat. I then ran the speaker wires back through that same hole, then vertically up under the fin to the head rest speakers. Passenger speaker wire came up through that same hole on the passenger side to go to the passenger floor speaker. Was it easy to get access where you run the cables along the transmission tunnel? You dont have photo of that part?

I sitting planning a stereo project for my 2016 mod SL, and wonder where should I run the signal cables from head unit to amplifiers under the seat. And from the amplifiers under the seat to speakers, and running cables from under driver seat to under passenger seat . Where did you guys run the cables, and its nice if you maybe has some photos from the installation.

I have now put the same unit in 4 other Slingshots.

I have a number of Android units in various family vehicles. Without a doubt, the Dasaita offers the most bang for the buck. It is a higher price compared to others but, well worth it. Runs on Android 10, 4G ram, 64G rom, PX6 processor, built in Apple Carplay and Android Auto (wired or wireless). The deck has 4x50 watt output. I have used just deck power on other people's and it was darn impressive, especially after you adjust everything.

You can download most any app from the Google Play store (or any other apk file). I have Pandora, Spotify, Google Music, Youtube Music - just some of the music apps.

Youtube and any other streaming video apps work fine. I can watch live NE Patriot games.

As for bluetooth, it works flawless with several phones. If you are looking to use it to pair to an LED controller, that usually doesn't work. Most all controllers use location services as a backdoor into your phone's bluetooth. These Android head units just don't have that ability.

Works perfect with the factory backup camera. I use a wire harness and a double din install kit from https://xtremetunez.com I also installed a USB dash cam ($40) and if works awesome. I still have an open RCA video input for another camera (yes, the deck will record the video).

I am personally running a few amps and a DSP unit. Nothing major - all budget stuff. 2 small amps and the DSP mounted behind the head unit. A sub amp in the drivers storage running a shallow 10 mounted to each storage door. I still have plenty of room in my storage compartments.

With Android decks, it all is a matter of what you want out of them. If you want everything built into the deck (GPS, full Android, video apps), Dasaita is the way to go. If you want a big screen deck only to run Apple Carplay or Android Auto, check out the ATOTO F7. It operates on a modified Linux system and works very well. I replaced an Alpine deck in my wife's car with an F7. Much better sound.

Are you happy with the size? I see they have a similar model with 11.6" screen, all the data is the same except for the size of the screen and it has resolution 1920X1080.

Which do you think will fit the best 10.2" or the 11.6"

I have already order the Scosche aftermarket stereo power harness with OEM backup camera integration, maybe I will ask some question later about power for the camera.

Four other Slingshot friends were so impressed at the functionality, they went with the same unit.

It is NOT waterproof. I carry a thin shower cap and that has worked well should I encounter rain.

The unit operates on Android. When connected through my phone hotspot, options are limitless. Stream YouTube, Netflix, live TV, you name it.

It has 3 USB inputs. I have a 128gb stick in one slot that easily has about 30 hours of music videos and 1000's of mp3. I also have a dash cam in one slot and all video is recorded on the head unit. The 3rd slot is for my phone.

It has GPS built in with it's own navigation. It also has Google maps. You can download regions from Google maps for offline access.

Built in DSP for tons of audio adjustment.

It also does Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

I looking for a android head unit for my 2016 Slingshot and see your review, and it makes me curious.

Can you download most android Apps as you use in the Samsung phones? Can you install Spotify etc?

Was it some issues with Bluetooth connection to other controllers?

Does it work with the original camera on the slingshot?

Do you use any connections from the original head unit when you use this? What type of outputs and inputs do you have for external amplifiers etc?

Appreciate to get some more feed back about the Dasaita as its a unknown brand for me. Does this model has a model number?
