Ok all the installs getting done tomorrow LED headlights and lower brow led's on the 2016 and the item you linked wolf to stop the double ignition thing for the 2015
-
@toeknee These will eliminate that problem with your HID's. I used them before putting my Sling into the wall. They are basically capacitors, that keep a constant charge to the ballasts during start up or any other excessive outside power draw spike.
wolf thank you for that now I gotta figure out where these go in the install and if it will be an easy addition
-
So do the led's have the same issues? I hope not I just spent a bunch
-
The fix is to install a headlight cut off switch and only turn the headlights on after the slingshot is started. The ballasts don't like to be fired twice. That's what is causing a light to stay out. I ordered led's and I'm hoping this is a non issue with them
-
I saw those but it seems it requires drilling?
-
No. That's the major reason I went with the leds and not the HD lights
If that is the case I will be buying the LED setup just didnt want to chance having the same issue, also did you purchase the slingmods one? im hoping the led's will be bright enough
-
I currently run HID's in one of my slingshots. the issue I have is when you turn the key it fires the ballast and when you press the ignition it refires the ballast which sometimes causes one headlight to go out. Do the LED's have this same issue?

Check out mine when I removed it luckily another owner gave me his stock one

Will both the nuts have to be torqued down to 150ft lb like the single one? also is it recommended to use loctite?
Thanks
-
Hey thats mine! lol I vinyl wrapped the hood after that and then the vinyl cracked as well so I still have the ugly crack
-
Try your local Fastenal. They should be able to match it up. They are a great source for nuts, bolts, screws, etc.
You're the man!
fastenal had exactly what I needed thanks -
Looking for the small screw that goes in the bottom of the shifter to hold it on the vehicle. Mine fell out and now the shifter can be removed.
Thanks

exactly what I needed!

Thank you for the info, now trying to get my dealer to order me one.. they have kept my sling over night countless times to use locktight on it for it to just back out again
-
Thing keeps backing out no matter what I do,
I am assuming the newer axle nut solution (is it a double nut?) will fit the 15 model?

Thanks for the welcome
