Well, that is an older "A" model, you should be able to get it comparatively cheap?

Nice looking Piper Arrow! (Brings back fond memories of when we owned our own plane!)

In two weeks:
Bill
Hee hee, can I have a lil fun here, Kyle, your tank greatly resembles this ghost from the past:
Can somebody purchase this tank now or will it be available in two weeks?
(Just follow this thread and you will come to understand the joke! https://www.slingshotforums.co…t-tank.20137/#post-375265 )
Bill
Just curious but..........
Why do you want this thing??
Fair question where I was thinking if this was actually somewhat functional, (allowing heat to dissipate in the summer, and maybe even directing some heat under the Madstad windshield during cooler rides?), I could justify the purchase. But with the help of the kind folks here I believe that that urge has now passed!
Bill
I have it on the Sling I and Sling II. It is the same color as the tub. The other thing is it does you no good for ventilation unless you have removed the front fenders
The 2015 did not come with a radiator shroud, would that make any difference?
Bill
I have been kind of giving the Paramount Plastics hood vent the eye but am curious if anybody has purchased it if it is as glossy as the pictures make it look, (thinking it will not match very well the textured finish of our 2015?)
Thanks,
Bill
Not being critical to you but that would be a lot of riding just for service
OH, I understand, normal preventative maintenance I do all myself, but it's going to be when it really breaks something beyond my expertise and then there is nobody locally that will want to go near it, and then it will also mean finding a trailer?
Bill
Wow, that's a bit of a jaunt. Hopefully someone will have some experience with one or both of those dealers. Glad to hear your keeping the Grasshopper though. Congratulations on the retirement. It sure takes a long time to get there...
Thanks SlingLow, I have been back and forth so many times about if we really want to keep the Grasshopper being we will be so far from a service dealer, and having a much more restrictive riding season, where it's Justina that ultimately made the final decision to keep it. We are even going to the expense of installing another garage so to keep it undercover. I will be surprised if we will not have the only SlingShot in town, which will be fun again!
Bill
After moving our SlingShot to Montana in the next month or so, for dealer service it appears that we will have a choice between:
ALLSPORT POLARIS HONDA
350 Miles
19505 E BROADWAY AVE
LIBERTY LAKE, WA 99016
And
Guy’s Outdoor Equipment
383 miles
1701 Main Street
Lewiston ID 83501
Do any of you have any personal recommendations of which one would be the preferred service dealer?
Thanks,
Bill
So what is the vanderhall attraction? I never thought they were nice looking.
When I look at the Vanderhall, this is the image I get in my mind of what it's owner should look like:
Bill
Our 2019 Honda Ridgeline brand new, with all of it's comfort amenities, cost us $32,000. So, I do not understand anybody being willing to pay $40,000+, or even $30,000+, for a motorcycle? Honestly, if anything ever happened with our SlingShot and we decided to replace it, It would be a first generation model for under $15,000.
Just saying!
Bill
Haven't heard about 2023s yet. But if this is an indication, no thanks.
To add another dimension to this, Justina and I just got our first up close and personal look at a Vanderhall Carmel last week and were able to compare it to our SlingShot side by side. I must admit that the Vanderhall gave the appearance of being much more sophisticated and refined and for that $40,000 plus to be a better value for the money than a SlingShot at the same price?
Bill
Why not go to a parts site and look it up?

7 years, and 50,000 miles, like VV11B40, with our 2015 we have no scuffs marks on our original "silver"coating, and I scrape my foot every time while getting in and out. Though, maybe the later "colored" coatings may not be quite as durable?
Bill
Just saw a post on FB by a gal excitedly posting how she just ordered a 2022 R with all kinds of extras for "only" $49,800.00
Seriously is this representative of where prices have gone these days?
almost 50k and maybe more with taxes? - - Is it just me, or is this nuts?
Twice the cost of our 2015 new, and I would be willing to bet that it ain't no more fun than ours!
Bill
Started going through "the Grasshopper" preparing her for her upcoming 1,000 mile adventure to it's new home in Montana next month!
Bill
Just waiting for the tax on how many miles you drive. Only way to charge electric vehicles to maintain the roads. Remember gas already has a road tax. So comparing prices between gas and electric is somewhat skewed at the moment.
That is already in the works here in Oregon: https://www.oregon.gov/ODOT/Programs/Pages/OReGO.aspx

How does that phrase go about putting eggs into a basket?
Too add to the conspiracy side of this discussion, unlike petroleum fuel, "they" can just throw a switch and shut down a power grid.
