Got the Slingshot back today New Angle drive is so much quieter, has a high pitch noise at around 70 mph but that seems to be quieting down too, probably a small bur on gears, mechanic said this is a completely different part number than the old drive. He also said that the old drive was in bad shape and that polaris wanted them to ship it back to them did not give any details but said it was a mess, replaced all sensors on brake master cylinder, adjusted brake switch, changed brake fluid out and bled system so far no more failure light.I am a happy camper now I will be ready in time for Christmas rides for the kids in Vernon and the lighted parade.:-)
P.S. very impressed with Lawton Motorsports in Lawton Oklahoma so far.

Took my 2016 sle to my new dealer in Lawton OK to have brake failure light fixed again, and to have angle drive leak checked, already had seals replaced once now polaris has decided to replace whole drive, said they were known to have problems it's good that I am still under warranty dealer said the drive alone would be over 1600 plus labor, ouch!! thanks for stepping up Polaris and Lawton Motorsports. Now the wait begins, wonder how long to get a new drive.

Got a chance to see one and sat in 2018 sle at dealer saturday very nice looking but I will be going with a canvas top for ease of removal and easier to get in and out of sling for me not to mention a lot cheaper LOL.

Just saw this on Slingshot facebook hope the link works. I'm thinking new front styling new accent lights new entertainment system with sat and nav and or new suspension they have my attention so far :-)

Just got mine too and have three recalls scheduled plus pinion seal, but at least polaris is stepping up to the plate, there where problems with my ford that they still refuse to admit, and brp had to be forced by government to fix there problems so I will grin and bear the recalls and be grate full for polaris for fixing them besides I haven't had this much fun since my v8 vega hot rod days :-)

Update just got call all recall parts are in and I am scheduled for 26 drop off and 27th pickup :-) looks like pinion seal, backup camera, fuel clip, swingarm, and one other seal. Will update after picking her back up will be so glad to get rid of the drip from pinion seal LOL feeling like a harley marking my territory.

Welcome @jimr. I wouldn't think that you'd have to wait for that. If you have a dealer close enough to you I'd take it in anyway as the VIN should still be under warranty regardless of owner.
I would recommend you acquire an extended warranty as well. Just sayin ;)

I took a ride to my closest dealer and found out they did sell my sling to the original owner and that there was no problem honoring the warranty, they ran vin number to make sure first service had been done, and are scheduling three recalls plus the pinion seal, will call me as soon as parts are in, very nice folks to deal with so far. PS to my surprise original owners name was John Wayne :-) and had a great 200 mile ride today!!!
