@SLLE Canada During the laser alignment process the front wheels are squared of the back, to make sure the slingshot is not wondering down the road. This makes sure the rear wheel is centered with the front wheels and then i set the toe in on both front wheels. This helps with tire wear and firms up the steering. I have not talked to the organizer of the event yet, but I am trying to over these services in Slingshot for the Rockies. I currently use the True Trac laser system. I have down quite a few now and every single sling was at least 3/8" out on one side from factory. The worst one i did was out over an 1" out of toe. If you have any other questions. Ask away.

I have been riding the hell out of mine for 6 months when the bearing started making noise. I am still waiting on my swingarm, but I still ride my everyday with no issues.

It did also say in the article he hit a park car, light pole and hydrant. Any combination of those will surely cause the wheel assembly to blast apart. The dip could have caused him to lose control hitting these objects.

@BKL I haven't had a single issue so far. Over 1,000 miles on the system and everything is running smooth. Did 200 mile trip with the Rocky Mountain group this weekend and it performed flawlessly. AEM is pretty much the same kit as the Snow. Snow has be the pioneer that I know of and then AEM followed suit. Another plus is I have Snow Performance right down the street if I need anything.

@BKL So far every thing is going good on the setup. I am working on possibly getting a dyno run this weekend to see if I can get some numbers with the system spraying and not. Once it starts spraying it is definitely smoother on the top end, no crazy running problems either. With checking my tank I have ran a half of tank of meth to 1 fill up.
When I talked with Snow Performance at their shop, they suggested the Stage 2 with the controller because it's more controllable then their stage 1. They recommend the stage 1 to guys doing strip racing. The stage 2 is also easier to install and control with their gauge controller. It is easier to change when it sprays within seconds, or just turn it off when you don't want to run the meth. The stage 1 just turns on at a certain boost level with a boost switch and keeps spraying till the boost signal goes away. Another cool feature of the stage 2 is the ability to add and control a second nozzle once the HP goes up and motor can handle the eXtra HP, such as in Rabtechs SS. Which I plan on adding after I build my motor. -

BKL the system utilizes a standard 3 quart resovior. With it only coming on at 3 p.s.i to full boost. One tank will last about 2-3 fillups. I am currently running just winshield washer fluid. It is 20% methanol. Snow does sell their boost juice which is 50% methanol. Their vc-50 control also doubles as a digital boost gauge.

Well the Snow kit is installed and I think my motor likes it, seems smother on the top end and don't have to wrory about detination as i build the boost. I have the stage 2 with vc-50 digital control. I have it start spraying at 3 p.s.I all the way to 8 p.s.i. I will have to find a dyno in my area to see if there are any true power gains, but as of now it is a great kit. I placed the motor and resovior in the passenger box. I couldn't find any spot under the hood that It would all mount.

Just noticed your post. Keep us in the loop on how this works for you. I am curious.
rabtech I am running a Hahn at 9 p.s.I right now. I am mainly looking at the benefit of not going lean as boost is added more t h an anything. I am sure I will gain some power with it. Should have it installed this weekend.

well just picked up snow performances stage 2 water-meth kit. Guess I'm going to be the first sling with this system. Will let you know how it works.
-
From what I have experienced in a gas system is the benefit of the methanol mixture coming on as you see boost so you do not create a lean scenario. The mixture acts as 108-116 octane gas as it comes on, preventing detonation. I have an email into Snow Performance waiting to see what they might say. Wasn't sure if anybody has done it in a sling or I would be the first.

I was wondering what people's thoughts of running a water-methanol system on a turbo slingshot? I have ran them on diesel applications and was impressed. I am local to Snow performance here in Colorado, so I think I might give it a try on the Sling.

Grab a couple kiddie pools, make numerous fake keys and hide them within about 5 kiddie pools of jello, mud, slime or whatever. Make the actual slingshot key the one they have to find. You get a show while they are trying to find the key. Do like 8 people per kiddie pool and let them go wild. Or you could have a gold key in each of the kiddie pools and the top 5 do a radio station quiz to win overall.

Gatlinburg is disappearing by the day.

@MACAWS I seen the metal in the cups, but that is where I was confused because rabtech said the impeller was intact from the turbo and didn't make contact with the housing.

I participated in the first survey and got paid. It is not a scam. I actually got the check within 2 weeks after the survey.
