My guess was that Tripod was hoping it was a miniature vessel for gerbils that hatch when inserted (love ya bro in a manly way - but NOT kind of man)

Mitch, I had to give you the like hit for this posting and the thoughtfulness of what you and Mark are doing. But my heart wanted to hit the dislike tab, since I still tear-up thinking Jim is gone and it hasn't sunk in yet. Pam, you've been great to meet and know and now you have an angel looking out for you. It's not going to be the same to see you without Jim being there. You two lite up the room when you enter and his presence is going to be a huge void for all of us.

Just love it when a plan comes together.

I agree 100% with what Tripod has to say re: Polaris on the front bumper. My issue is that the space it too small to make it say Stud Muffin on Board

So is that why you pour that bubble gum additive into your tank? I always thought you liked the smells of that one and the popcorn one. But I guess since I'm in FRONT of yours, the slower grey ones will be the only ones smelling your vapors.

Or end caps, but don't pick on my buddy Shack. He's in our cool class.

I've read about the rev hang issue but never experienced it with my SS yet. What I have going on is that sometimes when I come to a stop and push the clutch in, the motor drops below 500 rpms and it feels like the engine is going to stall. Does not happen everytime but I just wonder once it starts to get some age on it if it is going to stall out on me? Is this something that can be corrected with a reflash?
Probably not. What year is yours and do you know when it was manufactured? If it's a 2016, there is no updated software that will do anything for engine tuning. Bob from MEFIburn in CA does ecu tuning that raises the base idle rpm as well as other mods to the fuel tables that will get you better performance. It's well worth the investment

Tossing around the idea of getting another one to call my own... a HIS and HERS... we will see... glad to see your inventory listings..
If you get two, you can call them her's and her's two

If we had our names on the shirts, some of us would have to spend the days ducking and avoiding people

First off, you are 100% correct that Slingmods and DDM are top notch companies to deal with. Keith at Slingmods and Dave at DDM know what customer service really is. This is not a bashing of HID headlights, but I use led headlights. My understanding on the HID lights (especially for the slingshot) is the ballast issue that you have seen first hand. One of the problems is that unlike most applications when you turn on or off headlights, the ballast will only have that one "start-up" signal. Since the slingshot has the headlights on all the time (when the switch is in the run position) you get that initial power surge when the key is on, then it goes away when you hit the start button, only to have a second surge right after the button is released. This on-off-on cycle is what's killing the ballasts. The best way to reduce the chances for the early ballast failures would be to have a headlight bypass switch. Once you start the vehicle, you then turn on the lights once and you're good to go. It will probably extend the life of the ballasts dramatically. I hope this helps explain why you may be having the issues.

The Cowboys having a bad team is not their fault. Everyone knows that Texas is a BEEF state, so they just hate holding on to the pig skin! And with their hospitality, every time they have it, they give it away.

Can you change the front logo to honor the reason for this forum's birth?

Close, but I'm sworn to secrecy on this one. Suffice it to say that the RED ones will prove to be fastest in Maggie Valley once again.

Well, I decided to listen to my owns words of advice and bought an UP top for myself. So now I have 2 tops. The hard top - UP for those days I want to have a "sun roof" over my head, and the canvas twist top for days I just want to keep the sun off my head. I can see the benefits of each top by themselves, so why choose only one? They're both well designed, fit and priced similarly

Dates?!?
As much as I'd like to DKF, I'm happily married. But it would be nice if you could join us all for a couple days

Tripod, that's just the pits

I tried to get a marriage leaner's permit instead of a license, but they said they don't issue those in this state
