I emailed him this past Monday and got no response. So today, Thursday, I texted Kevin at noon and as of right now, no response.

I know he moved to a larger facility and combined with this Covid mess, things might get backed up. But, I’m losing patience. I paid for my order promptly and waiting 90 days and counting is frustrating.

I don’t want to be a PIA, but I may have to email and text him daily till I hear back from him.

Been waiting since February for a roof from Allthingsslingshot.com . Was hoping to have it on by the middle of May but that seems unlikely now.

In all fairness, Kevin has kept me informed about the delays. Last I heard, two weeks ago, just waiting for powdercoating then it will ship.

This stupid Covid thing is slowing everything down!

Can you jack the rear up enough to get the rear tire off the ground?

If so, then grasp the tire at at opposite side and see if there is any play or noise while twisting wriggling...

Spin it slowly and listen for any grinding. Then put tranny in low gear and try spinning slowly and listen.

While jacked up look at angle drive and inspect for any shiny spots, oil leaks etc

I went to a Toyo Proxes 295/40/20 on the rear. The ride is smoother with the higher sidewall, no nanny issues. I have a ‘19 SLR.

Will go to a proportionally higher sidewall in the front when those are due.

I saw a black SS with a large Batman decal on the hood on RT 85 notth in NC this morning about 11:30AM.

The driver was wearing a cow outfit....yup as in moo!

    Any idea who this was?

I like corporate greed. Those greedy people buy vacation homes that are maintained by blue collar workers. Those greedy people buy ovens and fridges built by and delivered by blue collar workers. They buy several expensive automobiles built by and delivered by blue collar workers. On and on....

We are all on 'lock down' --- but most of us can sneak out for a little ride as long as were not speeding and giving the 1 finger salute to all the "Leo's" as we fly by ...

Why do you have to “sneak” out? Aren’t you “allowed” out for food, pharmacy pickup, hardware store run? If so, go out and get some food or vitamins or something...and, take the long route.

BTW, has anyone in your state actually looked at the law, not the lockdown order, that says you can be “locked down”????? Might be interesting reading, if you have the time.

Here in NC, the so called “stay at home” order is not legal, so I ignore it daily. The law here clearly states you must be an imminent threat to the public to be ordered into lock down. But to my knowledge, no one has challenged the order yet.

I just drove from NC to Boston and back for Easter with the family. Had my RV with me. Went by dozens of state and local police up and back. Not one challenged me as to where I was going.

Leaving for a camping trip on Wednesday to a little place in Georgia that is quiet and private...on a river...do some fishing.

So tomorrow, go out and get some milk and bread, swing by the Depot and get some o-rings and then stop at the pharmacy and get some vitamin C. Go the long way to and from...breathe some fresh air and stop feeling like an inmate for an hour or so.

The title of the thread was do we “need” sports?

The simple answer is of course NO.

But, we have wants, like Slingshots, bass boats, firearms and beer.

I will pay what I think is a fair price for the things I want. Some things are worth more to me than to other people, and they can’t understand why I would spend the money I do on my wants.

I am willing to spend more on my doctor than the local police officer. My doctor has more education and can do things for me that I can’t do for myself. On the other hand, I can protect myself better than the local police officer since I’m with myself all the time and there is never a trained law enforcement officer around when you need one (except for me, cause I am one and I’m always with me). So, I have no problem paying the local police less than a doctor.

Same correlation for paying more for a software engineer, pilot and an A/C repairman and less for my trash collector, lawn maintenance guy or pool boy. The latter may all be important, but not needed, at least not by me.

But I WANT football, so therefore I will pay for it.

Isn’t it just so precious that Government hacks that depend upon us for their salary still retain theirs while we are told we are not allowed to make a living.

someone voted them in...again and again. You get the gov’t you vote for....

Are we all going to have to build a Faraday cage for our cell phones to keep the government from tracking us and use our phones only for emergency's when we are away from home. Some of us can just leave our cell phones at home, I for one rarely use my phone at all. Doctor appt's is probably most of my use. Fox News has already proved that you have to do more than take the battery out to keep them from tracking you.

Let them have fun tracking me, good luck should they try and attack me....

There is a nearly complete network of vehicle tag reading cameras across the country. There is very little you can do to hide your vehicle as you travel. But, since “we the people” allowed this to happen in the name of national defense, we now have to live with it.

Rhode Island is stopping all vehicles at their borders with New York plates, and turning them around.

That may be so on Route 95, but I came in on Rt 84 thru Ct and then Rt44 into Ri and there were no police watching that border. Then i stayed a night at my brothers then moved on into MA. Big highway sign said if you enter MA from another state you must quarantine for 2 weeks. Yeah, OK! I stayed 3 nights and then headed back to NC. Didn’t see any quarantine police....

Travelled from NC to Boston to be with family for Easter. On my way back now. No police roadblocks at borders, no arbitrary stops to check why you crossed into the state...nothing. Very few people on the road, so my RV stood out, so I wasn’t hiding...

Seemed like any other travel time except less traffic...and cheap fuel!
    :)

I guy in my motorcycle club used truck bed coating on his garage floor. It’s non-slip and tuff as nails. I know it stood up well for two years, then he moved and I don’t know if it is still on the floor or not. He bought it online in a blue color.
