It really is nice BUT not sure I'd want to spend big bucks on a body kit and then paint it black where it blends in and doesn't stand out. Agree with @WOLF that the wrap around look of the Corbin bags is a little more attractive.

Anyone know why Polaris put in this closed vent centerpiece to begin with? It almost looks as if they intended to have an open vent but made a last minute change by simply closing the vents but keeping the design. Perhaps they did testing and found either that rain was a problem on a hot engine or coil connections, or that the heat was a problem in the cockpit (particularly without a windshield). Perhaps their manufacturing was too far along to make major changes so they simply covered the vent holes. It has to be more than coincidental that Polaris went through all the trouble of manufacturing this pseudo vent in the middle of the hood right above the engine; would have been far easier to just make the hood one piece or to have a long raised bump in the center as opposed to this design.

You're probably right, wouldn't be surprised that they were concerned about potential issues and were able to get a better look the way they did it. The full vent does look nice though.

Having done a lot of aircraft cowling modifications for improved cooling I'll put my 2 cents in. Unless the airflow exit outlets are less than the inlets you won't realize any cooling efficiency improvements. Being liquid cooled even makes it less significant. IMO, the upper vent will add to cabin heat as some of that warm outflow that would normally have gone elsewhere comes over or under the windscreen. The main advantage of the vent is looks. Inflow would be more helpful if it were an air scoop
    Just my opinion

The Cycle Springs love fest may be well deserved. I've always found them to be a good vendor with good customer service that stands behind their products. Never knew how much till today. I've been waiting a while on an Anibal Fender Kit and Jimmy has been in touch with me all along on progress, he called today to let me know they just got there and that he's going to personally drive them down to me on his day off (Saturday). I live 2 hrs+ south of him. That's above and beyond stuff that you just can't make up. Maybe someone owes Dan an apology.

Mine arrived today..They are actually quite nice. Sturdy construction, SS logo, fill the compartments nicely, reasonable size for packing. Made by Ogio, I have a set of their saddlebags on my Harley that have held up well. There is a little space on one side only when they're inserted empty. I doubt that will be there when packed. These are a good value coupled with the $80 recent coupon from Polaris.

Picked up on the dark side about this combo of Viking Performance shocks and coilovers being used
    "Part numbers for Viking DA coilovers Front (2) C208 $189.95 each total $379.90 Rear (1) C212 $189.95 eachFront springs 12/200 $39.95 each total $79.90 Rear spring 14/200 $49.95 each"

Seems to be a good value (high end adjustables at reasonable cost). Only issue I had is that they didn't come with the right bushings and there was a lot of jury-rigging to install including an inordinate amount of washers. I emailed Viking and asked if they could do a kit with the proper hardware and this was their response:

"We do have a more factory setup that reuses factory shock spacer, the most you would have to do is spread the upper mount a bit to get the .05" bigger poly they are fairly easy to open up with a wood board. If you want to call in I can talk over it with you. I have seen some of the bearing ones that people do and I think we have a better way of doing it. For the lower mount on the shocks since its wider than a standard poly bushing, we have you take the factory spacer out of the shock insert it into the sleeve that we supply then using a hammer tap on some almost press fit washers so everything is nice and tight fitting. Its really easy and can be done in just a few minutes, I have attached a picture of what it looks like, this is our poly with a steel sleeve, factory shock steel sleeve and 2 washers that press onto the factory steel sleeve with a hammer. Also I included a picture of the upper mount bushing set up there you can see our poly with our sleeve and the factory sleeve out of the shock. As you can see the poly is a bit wider so you just have to open the mount up a bit to slide it in then you will tighten it all together crushing the poly down to the steel sleeves. Let me know if you got any other questions or if you need more information."

Same opinion here...I've bought quite a bit from both of them. Although many of the products sold are manufactured by others, they both stand behind what they sell and go out of their way to provide great customers service. IMO, just take advantage of best price.
