We've had Gators in the ditches where I live (SW FL) for years, some get pretty big but no one has ever had any troubles with them. Venomous snakes are a lot more to worry about and now we have some new visitors to add to the massive snakes in the glades.

As I understand it, the 2016.5's have the polaris kit already installed for the heat shields. You shouldn't have to do anything else unless you want to minimize the cockpit heat anymore.
I myself have an October 2016 so I've not ridden it yet in hot days and I don't have a heat shield kit..... yet.
Wow--October 2016---you must be back from the future!

I am getting there Monday so it will be " Maggie May Monday"
Sounds like a song crossed between Rod Stewart and Mama Cass

-
If you get there by Tuesday it'll still be "Maggie May"

Let us know how you like the ride after install. Many of us have these on order and don't want to be "shocked"!

I was lucky and got to retire at a young age..If planned properly--both for financial aspects and managing your newly found free time, it can be the absolute best time of your life. Watch older retired folks and learn from them. The ones that always have 3 sticks in the fire and constantly on the move generally live healthy and long. The sit around types only have their next meal and recreational doctor visits to keep them entertained.

O I did lol but surprisingly insurance is much much cheaper on the ss then my bikes and I thought I was getting a steal on those as well lol
Allstate gives a multi bike discount..The SS was fairly cheap and it was only something like 80 bucks more for full coverage on a 2 wheeler also.

As far as the luggage, due to the $80 coupon from Polaris I wound up getting the Polaris SS luggage

Thule! - The only way to easily carry long guns!I will not be attending this year, the boss, who is in Germany, has a couple more operations to fix her leg - triple compound fracture. She is doing well and very strong!
Is the AR a little more free-flowing with the headers?

Of the many bikes I've owned over the years, the one I miss the most...my 2012 Can Am Spyder Roadster! It was the first bike (trike) my wife would get on. Although we only had it for 4 years, we put some serious miles on it, which included a ride up to Niagara Falls. It made for some wonderful "together time". We continued the tradition when we traded up to the Slingshot!!!
Even though we miss the Spyder, we're growing more fond of the Slingshot, as well!!
I had nearly the same exact machine--2012 R/T base bought new and racked up the miles. I kept it for several months after purchasing SS and found I wasn't riding it much so I sold. Mistake...the SS does NOT satisfy the occasional motorcycle itch. Wound up buying a Harley shortly after.

Got the cat delete installed. What a pain dealing with the springs. After several attempts finally decided to remove side panels for easy install and access. Better working with stock muffler and cat delete on bench than in engine bay. Made a tool to help with springs.
Makes a great back scratcher!Harbor freight..$1.99 for the set..use the hooked one, will pull the springs off fairly easy.

I will be installing a 1320 and the alpha variable exhaust when available. Is the cat still there after I do the install? Sorry for not being more astute regarding this. And if it is, what advantage is there to remove the cat?
Nope, you're good, no cat in that setup

Was at a car show today and this vehicle was there and despite many 6 figure cars there this won top award. It is completely home built out T-28 parts. He welded up frame himself, uses a t-28 stick for steering, rudder pedals are brakes, etc..454 Chevy for the powerplant.

There is Google in your future - like it of not
Guess we'll have to make this a "sticky"

Any mention of projected cost?

I've tried nothing, stock blade, dbl bubble, F4 and 2 sizes on Madstadt..the F4 is good but you'll need tall and clear and there are some distorted spots on the wraparound. My suggestion is get the 9" Madstadt in your flavor of tint.. You can crank it up in daytime to look through and crank it down at night to look over. ALSO, the Madstadt does a great job of eliminating turbulence while still allowing for some air

Installed it today..Kinda tough to drill the hole--they should have sent an "Alpha-Bit"
