I also have the gloves and jacket hooked up to my Neutrino also and I use the Temp Plus setting. For my legs I bought this from Amazon, I carry it with me but haven't had the need to use it yet, like you said the cockpit covering your legs and the engine heat pretty much keep my legs comfortable. But here's the link

That looks like the ticket. The thing I don't like about long johns and heated pants liners is that they go under your pants. Much prefer something I can hop out of in a gas station parking lot if it warms up while riding. :)

Thanks to everyone for all the feedback. I'm probably going to wind up going for the Stinger. Now I just have to resist the urge to buy it now, when it's cold and I really don't need it, and wait until next spring. (And maybe catch it on sale between now and then). As much as I want a turbo, it's one or the other right now, and a top wont void my factory drive train warranty :)

saw this on the news and thought it was to cute not to share. This is a group of service dogs in training that were being trained / tested on how to behave in a theater

I hate to say it, but my boy Bolt might look like a service dog, but he would fail this test miserably. Bolt doesnt do well around other puppies

They all get an A+ as far as I'm concerned. Not one of them has their phone out...

I work in IT. A group in our department needed 2 special-use servers turned up for a new project. The requirements and configuration were complex and despite the combined number of years of experience of all involved it took tons of research, calls to vendors, several loads, complete wipes, and reloads to get them functioning. In the end, when it all finally (mostly ) worked, the servers were named Dunning and Kruger.

I went to Maggie Valley this year for the first time (loved it!), and one of my goals was to research the best Slingshot top for me. I chose the Stinger, for several reasons:

I'm kind of leaning towards the Stinger now too. Thanks for all the great info! The only thing keeping me from pulling the trigger right this second is the price...

I agree that to me the OEM Slingshade looks the best. Seems to follow the lines of the SS really well and makes it look like the SS is leaning back.

However, it was a very low top. I'm 6' even (but very long torso) and I just barely cleared the roof - by about 1/4". There was no way I could wear a helmet at all. And the front windshield cross bar was actually below my line of sight. Forget seeing street lights - I couldn't see the road a 1/4 mile ahead of me. (This is why I went with the TD Gull Wing.)

That being said, if you don't sit up as tall as I do, you could fit much easier. Which is why I suggest you sit in each of them.

Yeah, the slingshade is the only one that truly looks like it belongs on the SS, but between the quality issues and design issues I'm starting to think it's out of the running for me. For $3K it should be better designed and constructed than it is....(IMHO).

My biggest issue is exhaust fumes and added heat.

That's a bummer. FunCycle was telling me basically the same thing. Seems bizarre that with all the open area you still have with roof like the stinger, exhaust and heat could get pulled in and "linger".

Here are a couple side shots of mine. Just so you know, the roof is mounted in the low position. Can be raised 1” higher overall.

Actually looks better than I expected.

We all have our opinions on what is the best top. What I usually say when I get asked why I chose the stinger top (SUPER early adopter) is... I love the coverage the stinger provides opposed to other tops out there. I further love that I can pull 4 pins and toss the top in my garage or turn it around to carry it with me. There is nothing impeding your view with this top either.

I watched a Youtube video of the Stinger by the guy from Madstat. Overall, I like it. Looks sturdy. Like the fact that there are no pillars or post in the front and that the panels can easily be reversed or removed. The over-head console with lights and switches is really nice too. My only issues are that I'm not sure I'm really crazy about the way it looks. Wish I could find a good picture of a profile shot of a sling with it. All the pics I can find online are from the front or right or left forward angle. Other issues is the price. Ouch.

There are pro's and con's to every roof.

Yeah, that's pretty much why I started this thread. I don't know a single person in my area that owns a SS so I'm picking the brains of the members here :) I already pretty much know what my preferences are, but since I have absolutely zero practical experience with any of these roofs, my preferences are subject to change based on real-world use cases from you guys.

Im also shopping for a roof now and im torn between the Slingshade or the StingRay (with the sliding top panels) by Twist Dynamics, hoping to sit in my friends this weekend , he has the Slingshade BUT I like that StingRay......and they both are in the same price range :/

The thing with the Stingray is that post right in the middle of the dash :(
