Hello to all you SS people. I have decided to take off for the Deadwood, SD 3 Wheeler event. It is the 9TH-14TH of July so is only a couple of weeks away. I am planning on leaving Augusta, GA on the 7TH and am not checking in until the 10TH at the Baymont Inn in Spearfish. Was going to try to hit some places on the way out to the Badlands. So I want everyone who was at SSITS to join me. We can make up meet up points along the way. Joe Bee, you said that you wanted to go to Colorado and was looking for a room mate. My plan is to leave Deadwood on the 14Th and head down the front range to Pueblo, CO where I have a good friend that I haven't seen in many years. Maybe even make it back down to southern NM where I used to be stationed. See Trinity Site and White Sands National Monument. Then make a long trip back across TX. Maybe some old route 66. At least two weeks.

    Let's GO!

Hello to all. I was going to ride over to Mr. Martin's house with E.J. and Joe Bee but ran into an old motorcycle riding buddy and his wife at the fairgrounds. Had not seen them in about five years and found out we only live about five miles apart! They purchased an SS last year at the same South Carolina dealer that we did. Small world. Want to thank E.J., Joe Bee, and a whole bunch of other folks for the rides the first part of the week. Finally got to meet E.J. again after meeting him in 2019 in Bristol. Thanks much for the guardian bell! I look forward to doing this again next year!

So I got the SS all loaded up this morning. Heading out tomorrow morning. About a 4 1/2 hour drive to MV from Augusta and should be in town around 2-3 in the afternoon. Got rain gear, poncho, jackets, and face shield. That should mean that it will NOT rain! Staying at the Comfort Inn for the week and can't wait to see all of you folks! Everyone be safe!

Same old story. Was in Ohio last year and lost the original at, you guessed it, a gas station! Funny that we all seem to lose them at the same place of business.

    LOL

Did a little trip three weeks ago. Trip from Eastern Georgia up through Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin and the Michigan U P. Stopped for a couple of days in Sault Saint Marie and did a great boat tour of the Soo Locks. They change the water level 21 feet vertically in the locks! Got to see a 700'+ lake freighter go through. Went up the West side and down the East of Lake Michigan across the Mackinac Bridge back through Ohio, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, and back to home. Saw so many things. There is a place near Wisconsin Dells called The House on the Rock. An amazing place and could have easily spent a couple of days there. All told about 3000 miles and just short of two weeks. The SS did great with no issues (except for lots of dirt on my white wheels). Took about a hundred picts but I will post just one from Sault Saint Marie. The huge power station building next to the locks. Was going to try to hook up with EjFord but he was on his way South. Missed him at SITS also.

    It was a fantastic trip.

I think you posted a pick of my sling unless you added splitters to your bumper. Those rims you picked look amazing. Didn’t know I was chatting with a member.

I am terrible about going back and checking posts. Yes, I was noting your front splitter. This was my first SITS. Been wanting to go for three years. Finally had to retire just so I could go! After buying the '19 SSGT, I had not seen another one. I go to SITS and see at least 10 of them! I got so many ideas and spent way too much cash that week. The white 22s from UAS made a big dent in the wallet, but, the wife really likes them. When I got home, I had to re-engineer the Polaris fender bracket/shock mount to get the fender back on. Also shortened the bracket 1 inch to compensate for the 22 inch wheel. Have to chill for a while on SS parts. LOL

To much good riding in Maggie Valley.

How does that song go? "Indiana wants me. Lord, I can't go back there." ^^

You probably won't remember me. I met you at Mayhem in the Mountains in 2019. Used to live in Hamlet, Ind. many years ago. Tried to find you all week with no luck. Met the lady with the hot rod four wheeler and asked her if you were there. She said, "Yes, he is around.". And yes after 6 years you should go home, let the cat out, and mow the yard! LOL

    Sorry about hijacking the thread.

yes i have to apologize for just being crazy swamped with all the covid delays then record heat spells here shutting us down again it has just been unbearable.. from time to time. I

do admit to falling too far behind and probably better communication should always be on my top priorities . and thanks guys for all the support . All customers are always welcome to a full refund if they cant wait when these times get us down and if they agree to stick with us like Bikerndiver did , they are explained we do the best we can given the circumstances and in this case , we dont even expect to profit from such an unfortunate delay and reimburse the profit portion and agree to all the hours of hard work and frustration at cost as we do appreciate the customers business and position . In this case a $ 200.00 credit was issued to the customer and he was sent a $250.00 UAS center console for $50.00. We aim to please though it becomes difficult at times . we will catch up quickly now as things progress

That sounds fair. But, I recall waiting SIX months for a tow dolly after many, many emails and phone calls. And then find out that my Grand Touring SS would not fit on it unless I took the fender off. But, I did get $100 off the $1500 cost for my troubles. Yup, that sounds fair. Sure left a bad taste. But, I am just one customer.....

Finally got my front exit exhaust and passenger floor extension done. Long process. Got the coffin exhaust from a dealer in Cali. Modified it and left the cat off, at first. Too loud and raspy. Worse was the exhaust fumes. Took the original cat that I cut out, used a resonator shell from the local junk yard, and installed further down just before the flex joint. Now more mellow and no stink! The passenger floor extension box is made from 1/2" expanded core PVC and sets on the SS frame so nice and sturdy. Wrapped it with sticky back heat shielding and used sticky back aluminum tape on all of the joints. Almost looks factory. Got seat sliders from the same junk yard and added those to the passenger seat. The floor extension was for me and the seat sliders was for the wife. She likes to slide up and lean back. I can now ride as a passenger comfortably.

Has anybody found junk yard adjustable seat brackets for the passenger side? Just installed the Coffin exhaust and then added a 12" footwell extension box. Wife now wants adjustable seat sliders like the driver side. I can fab my own seat bracket. Just looking for the sliders.

    Thanks

The wife and I, we both have driven a stick since we got married 28 years ago. She only wants a car with stick( drives a Mini ). I just installed the short shifter and ball adapter with a delrin knob. She just loves the small shift pattern! Now I will have to put a short shifter in the Mini. :)

Just got back from the dealer. It sure was hard to go back to work. 52 degrees and bright sunny day. Now I can install the Neutrino fuse box that Santa delivered early last night. Let the light show begin!

Well, I hope it is not a problem, but, I had tried to register and it says " The closing date for this event has closed".

Make sure you are in the event thread not the discussion thread if you are trying to update participation

So, I am new to all of this. Dang computers! LOL

CaptainZ, GA Slinger, and Ga Batcycle. You are all listed as undecided participants now. Click on the Calendar tab at the top of the screen. Click on upcoming events. Select Mayhem in the Mountains. Scroll down till you see manage participation click on it and you can add yourself and passenger as well. You must be logged in to do this.

I followed those instructions and when I Got to Manage participation, yes is grayed out and says (not possible)

Glad to have you folks. We went to our first event last year and the fun has never stopped. This community continues to amaze me with support and knowledge coming from many different directions. Good people on this forum. If you would go to participants at the beginning of this thread and register.

Just finally got back to the forum. New to this forum thingy. So I click on participants in the first post? Sorry for being a pest.
