I am thin but when riding down a interstate Hwy ( Tractor Trailers changing lanes )I would hope in any type of side impact or rollover you would
"feel like you would stay in cockpit" more with 4 point.. And of course this is all guessing game to make you feel more safer.

So those of you who are driving SS with 4 point or better do you feel safer in any way vs stock belt ?
Is it more comfortable with harness vs stock belt ?
Do you feel like you have better chance in roll over ?
And it seems since I bought SS that I have heard 3 or 4 killed in head on type collisions but the belt may have been cause with
the way body move in collision causing internal damage.
And then luck or timing or being in right place all plays coming out of collision.

I may order a set and give a try and see.. I was thinking before we go to Maggie Valley Rally.

I just read article from OG Racing on Harness safety.
Now they sell 4 point for turners and shows but DO NOT recommend 4 point for street or track !
They say stock seat belts are safer than 4 point for reason that you could slide down and they call it
submarining and cause more internal damage during crash.
They recommend 5 or 6 point for preventing this sliding down.

So my question of you who have 4 points do you feel your self sliding down in any case of heavy braking or other reasons ????
I was going to purchase 4 point and never having try them would like to see if this is a problem?
Do know you can not make every case for every safety item proven to be safe in every way.

But would like to know 4 points are safer than stock belt by most people who purchase and not just for looks ????

I want to thank everyone for the information supplied.. And we from motorcycle riding in rain and driving a SS better slow way down !
This will be hard on me for I push myself driving in rain like it is something I have to prove and not sitting looking out a window.
So hope weather to Maggie Valley is a dry one or it will be some long days of driving slow.

The bottom line is bringing this information all out for keeping SS family safe in driving these fairly new machines and changes we are making to them!

I have been thinking of 4pt belts before leaving for Maggie Valley.
I drive around local streets without helmet and driving interstates I feel if you have tip over stock seat belt
will not hold you in from going out the side and will wear helmet driving on interstate roads and feel 4 pt will keep you
    in cockpit of SS .

Thought about putting strap behind seat to keep both belts tight and not spreading apart up near shoulder area.

So I haven't yet driven in rain with SS.. But know from my BMW 12 driving cross country rides that I drove very fast 60 to 80 mph in driving rain.
Sure at times I should not have been going that fast and maybe lucky at times to not have had accident.
The reason I own SS is because I fell last year with wife on back driving fast into corner on dry road .
Being 64 and driving like you are 20 yrs old tends to catch up with you in time.

But want to throw few things out to others and get thoughts ..

When driving SS home first day and going 85 to 95 mph on interstate I noticed some slight lifting at going over bridges where road had interruptions.
Those fenders are wings and wonder at speeds if this could play big part into hydroplaning ?
Also wonder if ballast was added on rear if this would help some .
I have been thinking of lead in swingarm casting for better traction.
The new body that I am trying to come up with would do away with the wing fenders and interested in seeing if at speeds that changes what I feel
driving SS when driving home that first day.
So guess would like to see how others feel about fixes for SS .
Or just slow way down or know you have to get off road when rain is heavy?
The thing with slowing down and being so low you have more chance of not being seen and run over from rear in right conditions.

So what will most do in heavy rains ??

I drove Henry's Alpha SS with double bubble last year in South Dakota and it was nothing I would purchase.
It gave some head on air over you but still felt a lot of air movement coming between bubbles.
I have tinnitus ( ringing in ears ) and need more protection from wind noise and F4 +5 gives me that.
Not to say on very hot humid days I will wish at times I had smaller or no shield .

I drove my Base SS home without windshield and a few days waiting for F 4 to arrive.
Coming home on interstate was doing 90 mph with it and it was not that pleasant with
full face helmet driving it 40 miles that day.
It made me think of my first bikes back in 60's and doing 125 mph with them and it did not
bother me then ,but it does now.
