I think the one MIM showed March 15 2017 was a decent design , but the 2 round ports on each side do not do it justice.
If they would work in a rectangular grille I think they would have much nicer lines to go with the angular design that
    Slingshot really is.

Those stock fenders being so big and high are hard to design around with making front and side views of Slingshot
    look appropriate .

Trust me with 2 failed designs and one I am sort of content with for the moment..LOL

The one design with black frame with red insert may work out if they painted frame red ..maybe

Note if they took the end were it has a point and made it the same angle of headlight that would look nicer also.

I am going 2018 year for 3 Wheeler 4 th annual Rally in Deadwood in July. Was there first year and they had a ton of 3 wheelers. That would have been first year for Slingshot and they had
approx 20 . That is where I met Henry of Alpha and he allowed wife and I to drive his SS through the hilly roads outside of Deadwood and after dropping the BMW the day before
said to wife getting off two and going three.
But can not wait to see Needles where we fell and drive through the hairpin curve>>LOL>>
And another avenue if you go rent side by sides and go into the back country and really enjoy views you never see from roads..trust me they are outstanding. And Great Fun!!
Take a Helicopter Ride outside of Crazy Horse and see the sites from above . You will never forget.
Third trip to area and I will take the Helicopter ride again. Best 400.00 dollars spent . I Luv Helicopters and flying without taking off my shoes and belt !
I am planing on said planning on a snowmobile trip in 2019 to deadwood and hope to do that.
Will make plans when there this summer for the playing in snow.

Any calendars left .. If so I would purchase one.. thanks Joe

Thank You so much Jorge ..

I wanted to add picture to calendar of my SS but my computer went down and lost a lot of pictures in
the change over so maybe next year I can contribute..

Thank You Jorge and Merry Christmas and Happy New Years to all Slingshot Owners !

If I do go back to Maggie Valley next year it will be coming home from the Deadwood SD 3 Wheeler Rally in early July.
I luv SD riding and was there for first annual Ride 2014 but had BMW then so this being 4th annual want to take Slingshot
out to it,, Not sure I will drive NJ to SD 1800 miles but will see how I feel at time.
If I ever go back to Maggie Valley it would be 2019 .. I have aunt and cousin living there and I really go for both visiting and Show.
But if something happens to aunt I would find it hard to just go to Rally..
I get bored and need new places to travel to..
I would like maybe to go to Colorado Rally show for something new.
So time will tell ..When you get old you wonder how many more years you can climb into these ..LOL

Just to let you all know ??? I did not win Best of Show..Tom started this with saying I should have won best of show since he was parked next to me.
But my custom was called "Most Accessorized " Trophy which is a nice trophy.

I normally do not enter shows at all but I did and I am proud of what I have designed and more people looked at this machine and had more pictures of it
than any other there and I had more handshakes for the work I put into it . But like any show the eyes of people judging is always judgmental.
And it was a pretty stock SS that did win with Accessories on it..LOL.
I find mostly in all shows today that the people who put the most into their vehicles "work & sweat " get the least amount of
true judgment and usually goes to the ones with bolt on accessories of lights and speakers which is what I think the Slingshot is and will remain.
But hey I usually park not far from shows when I do not enter and like the reactions of people more than I like the judging.
And with every SS show come the ones with Speakers at over 100db as I said before . I have tinnitus ringing in ears and my ringing goes louder
around loud noises and some with speakers are just incentive to others who are trying to talk and have conversation and they are having their own
show with each other with loudness which I feel should be put in a distance of their own show.
No kids should be subject to such noise and for every show I go to and it has been 6 SS shows I think last weeks will be my last.

But I enjoy what I do and have fun with my design and still will make changes to the SS that I own
for I still see things in it that I am not happy with . So I am my own worst judge.
But when I drive it and every ride people thumbs up and taking pictures driving down the road of it are
the best judges to have ..thank you all.
Not just for the judging but the noise level and if I go to any show will be to park near but when I want to leave I just walk over and leave.

I know mine are posted on forum.just changed computers and lost a lot of pics and information or I would repost.
If you can not find pictures of my mounting I will go take more pictures. just let me know

Without those AIR DAM Flaps you will see less hold lifting at higher speeds and better gas mileage but you will get stones thrown at you at times.
I know went through that until I made fenders.
Could sell you the half fenders off my Vanderhall Venice when they come out with full fenders.

Thank You for taking time to look at my project.. I sent pics and if you need more detail I will supply.Thank You and will understand if to much for you to undertake..Joe
I have made a fiberglas frame to go around windshield with aluminum incased in it. that is what I was going to snap canvas to .
I am 6' tall and my plans were to duck under but listening to other customers that can be a task ..LOL
I guess the reason for front pivot is just in case rear fastener does not take better chance of not taking air and flying off.

I want to go to Deadwood SD next year from NJ and at 66yrs old yes not young old to 4th three wheel rally there and some of the best driving and beautiful mountains passes.
But after driving 16 hours from Maggie Valley in full sun it just about done me in for 3 weeks.
So I would luv to trailer SS out but do not want to spend tons of money and if I drive and have a roof to get out of sun think this may be ok if I do 400 to 500 miles a day.
I built rear wheel dolly and with 4k miles think to far for dolly for destroying front tires being so soft..
Keep thinking maybe buy rims and put harder tire on front of SS for dolly..
So really undecided and have to next June to decide.
Any thoughts on age, mileage and how to get out there..LOL
I do know traveling cross country 4 yrs ago 7k miles on a BMW RT it is a long hot trip out west.LOL

Thank You.. Now with my custom body and I want canvas to snap to windshield.. How hard is it to get under it if you do not have lift??
And how long does it take to remove..
It does not fold if I remember to pack away ?

I am pleased with my SS but I see things I may do to it next year now that I have Vanderhall to drive now.
But when SS was my only 3 wheeler and down for a year it was difficult and I needed to throw it back together.
And I have a frozen shoulder from all the hand sanding for the months on SS so I was just able to get it back on road.
Funny when you get older and things just do not work like 10 yrs ago..
But I proud of what I have done and the outcome and driving it is a Lot of fun.. That is what counts!
The Vanderhall will never be my SS but the shape and the dash and hood when driving it just makes you feel
like you are driving a 30 something Morgan with todays technology . The stock brakes on Vanderhall are superior to SS
and wish they were on my SS even with upgrades I have on my SS.
But with 10" less front wheel front tire separation the handling will never be what SS can do in corners.
But both units offer a fun ride when you want to be lazy and just cruze VH Automatic is nice to be in.
Thank you every one for you kind words.

My fenders on my SS today and fenders on my new ride the VH and they need to be larger ( small fenders worthless on VH ) for more protection and rear fender needs to be added to VH.slingshotinfo.com/wcf/index.php?attachment/56429/
With my SS now I get No hood lifting at 100 mph and the air travels over / around with the air dam mud flaps gone.
What a poor design for this day and age of computer designing that is available .

Well you could look at Vanderhall Venice.. The next machine I will own in next few weeks and keep SS ...
Al these 3 wheelers offer a difference in 3 wheel experience.
I think the SS that I have with all its Alpah turbo,suspension,rotors/brakes ect is more suited for sport riding and corners.
And hopefully the Vanderhall will be my automatic Cruiser on days of just enjoying a leisure ride and with better visibility
than being deep into a cockpit as SS is.
But hey dollar for dollar a Miata or S2000 for the money is the best buy of any vehicle but we buy these 3 wheel machines
    not to be normal.
I sold my Lotus Evora to buy the Venice because I was bored with Lotus and thinking hard and know I am throwing money away buying
Venice but you want something it just can not leave you until you do it and ask yourself ???
And when you get new toy home it pleases you until the next vehicle hits the market.
So every one can ask questions about what should I do ????
But only the person buying or asking can make up his or her mind .
Yes we want to hear what others say but really very very few people listen to others.
I am one of those people who would luv to ask but no I would not listen to any of what you would say.
So the bottom line do not ask just buy the wrong vehicle and make it what you want it to be.
As I do ..Still enjoying my custom SS more than Lotus.
