Also, FYI the new V2 headers can install without removing any studs!

Spoke with @Noel Hughes and he said to use the smallest baffle. I was concerned about using that one as it seems to really restrict the exit gas but I will give it a shot and report back tonight.

Just spoke with @Noel Hughes and ordered the prp seats.
@roadog1aj If I decide to give them away you are first on my list lol

Yup its a cartage filter. Just ask for a filter for a 2008 pontiac sky with the 2.4
Looks like this
I did just that and the filter I listed is what came back. Maybe it's a generic picture?

@cmykpro that isn't the right oil filter, unless they changed something. It takes a paper cartridge oil filter. I'm at work so I can't look it up at the moment.
@Turbosling@rabtech should be able to assist.
Hmmm I went off the soltice motor for the filter as I assumed they would be the same. Good catch if I'm wrong. Can anyone shed some light?

Just my thoughts on this.......I'm thinking that even with the top, you're still going to be in "sticky" situations throughout the duration of any extended riding....just because of ambient temps on a warm to hot summer day.(not just direct sunlight) I'd research the PRP seat building app, and take a good hard look at all the different materials available. I'm thinking there's a combination of fabrics that could help make your riding experience more enjoyable, plus the added pleasure of how comfortable those seats are reported be over stock. If it were me, I'd also call someone at Slingmods to help describe the various materials, and recommend the best set-up for me.
Hit the nail on the head sir. I'm having a hard time deciding on materials if that is indeed the route I take...

I think the header is solid. I've seen it in person and it looks like a quality piece. Is that a 1320 exhaust?
Correct that is the new 1320 exhaust as well with the interchangeable baffles.

For clarification my issues isn't so much having to put a towel over the seats to stop them from baking. Basically I took the SS out of my cool garage and drove for an hour and even starting with cool seats I ended up with a wet back. Do the prp seats suffer from this as well?

So this weekend was the first time I have had some good seat time in warm weather. My version of warm is 75 which is the first time we have seen temps this high all year up in Ohio. I was amazed at how hot the seats got and the sweat poured off my back. I want to eliminate this problem as once we start seeing 80's I don't want to be uncomfortable.
To solve this problem my budget will allow for one of two options;
1. PRP seats
2. Twist roofCan anyone offer any advice on which route to go? From my research the PRP seats will make things more comfortable but do they solve the heat problem? The twist roof is more expensive but I really wonder if it takes something away from the slingshot's open air experience?
Any input from owners of either would be much appreciated!

Installed my V2 1320 header and exhaust Friday. I had some time to do some testing today on the exhaust and honestly I'm not impressed. Build quality looks good but sound is not good by any stretch. I tried all three baffles and ended up with the middle sized one. It doesn't have as bad of a drone that the largest one does which made it the best choice. However, often it sounds like a Ford Ranger with a glasspack.
Changing out the baffles is not fun. It's not necessarily difficult as it is only two allen bolts however they are difficult to get to if the vehicle isn't on a lift. The real problem is that the muffler tip you put on lastly over the baffle is cut to a razor sharp edge. So when you're trying to get these two bolts out and back in you are praying it doesn't slit your wrist and I mean that very honestly.
This isn't meant to be a bad review of 1320 as I love the headers. I'm just not sure anyone can make this motor sound decent...

So I'm still not 100% in the know as to what the hell happened over "there" but it seems the bulk of users have migrated. If this is the exodus from taxation without representation hopefully I am welcome to come aboard.
For those who don't know me I am the creator of the Jmod and just wanted to let folks know I'm here if anyone needs any help.
