I looked up the location and its not big enough to get out of 3rd gear is it? That area looks great but it does look like it is very limited in roads.

Not in town that's for sure, hell it's only 10 blocks long from one end to the other. The run from Campbell River to here is second to none both in scenery and technical fun. It's posted at 80 K because it winds tighter than a snake and has constant elevation changes. The run to Tahsis, from Gold River is posted at 60 K and can be hellish fun if a bit dangerous at up to120 K or so. Gravel sections deserve lots of respect and appropriate caution...

"Wow @wobbly Do you have any more than just one road? Have you ferried it much and if so how are they treating you?
    Thanks and Welcome!"

@conehead From Campbell River to where I live there's only 2 lane blacktop 2/3 of the way ( one road in/one road out). Last 62K is Forestry Service Road over two mountain summits, 1/3 seal coat and 2/3 washboard, potholes and shot rock (really plays hell with the paint)... It's WORTH the trip though!

White Lightnin' hasn't been off the Island since she was shipped but may be heading to Winnipeg in July ;O) My understanding is she'll get the motorcycle lane on the ferry, first on first off, because of the open cockpit even though she carries a full sized plate and is registered here as a car...

"Holy smokes now your telling me there's 4 Slingshots in Canada! That kind of reminds me of shifting in a semi."

4??? Your calculator must be on the hummer... As for my shifter, I think it suits the quirky angular design of the seats and dash etc. and the reason it's tall is the guy in the picture to the left with his first trike has short little crooked arms ;O)

Agreed, mine pictured a post above yours, was a bit of a disappointment when it arrived the other day. For the price it wouldn't have hurt to add a few more square inches of material. It doesn't really 'pull' in gear, but it sure as hell doesn't look like an OEM quality item either. Still, it fits the adapter snuggly, which the factory rubber boot doesn't do properly... Thinking back to my Triumph sports cars of the late sixties and early seventies; their boots were voluminous in comparison...

So finally got around to loading a memory stick with 20 or 30 CD's as there are no radio stations where I live and connected it to the glove box USB. Great, tons of tunes. Not so great, doesn't seem to be a random selection setting... Two or three short trips about the Village with Classic Led Zeppelin blaring. Turn the car on again and radio says, NO DEVICE, WTF???

Well, followed Slingmods' recommendation, sort of. Used a better quality allen key and a six inch piece of pipe like I did before but instead of steady pressure, I gave it a huge whack with a rubber mallet... That got it moving but I had to use the pipe until it was spun completely out. Talk about lock-tite overkill. The end result is killer.

So my project today was to install a shift adapter with an extension and carbon fibre shift ball on my SS. Got the factory shifter off and popped the plastic off the rubber boot after removing it, no problem. When I went to loosen the set screw on the factory shift mount however, my allen key twisted up like a black licorice Twizzler. I even tried a six inch piece of narrow pipe as a lever and the damn screw won't budge. Ideas???

Quick question: Anybody know off hand, the accessory hole size and thread pattern of the stock window brace on the Canadian version of the SL LE?

Thanks in advance as I'm pretty sure someone can answer my stupid question ;O)
