Lol. I hear that, nothing like getting a free shower when your tearing up the roads.

QietWlkr , where are you leaving from and have you checked the weather at Kerrville lately?
North East Texas near Sulphur Springs.
I just looked, 54% chance of rain Wednesday, or at least thats what the app says.
Might put a damper on driving down.
Anyone know more of what's forecasted for this week down there?

Has this event been cancelled, since no one has posted in a long while?
Hopefully not, it's been oddly quiet online about it. Either way, I'll be headed that way Wednesday morning.

Received my renewal notice on my Slingshot today, Allstate bumped my rate from about 500 a year to 1800. I wanted to croak.
Gave Dan a call and he said that Allstate is bumping the rates on all slingshots, he thinks that they figured out that they should be more expensive to insure and is raising everyone.
He's going to shop around and see what he can do for me, and I'm also going to give him a crack at my other auto policy and home policy, hopefully he can save me some money. I'm just a happy customer of his, no affiliation, but if you want cheaper insurance, give Dan a call.

I'll post up what he finds for me.
So it wasn't just me, just received the same notice from Allstate. I'll be giving Dan a call as well.

I have found a guy that is a custom car builder that is doing the work. It’s at his shop now. He called today looking for what I want for headers. He brought up the concerns of ground clearance on the driver’s side due to the proximity to the steering box and swing arms. He’s also noticed the heat reduction kit and asked about that being an issue. On a side note, he had a supercharged caddy engine he jokingly said would fit. I hate those kind of choices.
Sent from my iPad using Polaris Slingshot Info
The guy that did mine (dual's to Rinehart mufflers) had to run the drivers side pipe under the frame due to where the steering box is at. He made sure where it went under the frame was in center line of the front wheels to keep speed bumps from hitting the pipe.
On back county blacktop roads I have to keep an eye out for high spots but rarely scrape unless not paying attention. This was before and after moving to the SL wheels and upgraded coil overs set to 1/2" lift over stock height.
And I can second what FunCycle said, there won't be an issue with a bigger sway bar.

wokka sounds like a plan, see you there.
If you need to top off the tank before we head that way, Dukes is just down the east bound service road on the south side of the interstate. Shell gas with new tanks/pumps.

wokka sounds good to me if the weather holds. Count me in.

Thanks for the welcomes!
EjFord There'll definitely be miles in the seat before the modding begins, the wallet's telling me to wait and those credit card companies want their money back for some reason.
chavey2 Mt Vernon. As for the GTGs I'm working on convincing my boss that I'll be "sick" those days and can't be gone for work

Looks like I'm the third new Texas owner post lately.
After year of looking and planning, I finally took the plunge and bought a 2019 Base model on 1/18. Had a nice cold windy drive home, thank goodness for a windshield and ski coats
Barely got it home, and the modding bug has already bitten me and the boy..... this looks to become another awesome expensive toy!!
