Welcome TxTiger. This is a great forum. I somehow stumbled on it by accident googling SS stuff. One of the luckiest things that has ever happened to me. I too was a two wheel rider from nearly birth. Sold my last one a few years ago. Road it 52 miles in two years. We've put over 8 thousand miles on our SS since April and we love it. People on this forum are so helpful and patient with us newbies. The collective knowledge on this forum is awesome. As for your windshield, I am in the same boat as you. I want a bigger one but not sure how big. I want to barely see over window. I am going to Maggie Valley and see all the vendors and I am sure come home with another windshield.

I think she needs a "fact checker".

Hats off to DDM works once again. The master cylinder bracket could not have been any easier to put on. It went on like it was a factory part. Didn't take 15 minutes and I was done. The thing fit like a glove. No drilling required.

I think it would look good with the support rails in lime squeeze and the rack in black to match the look of the top.
I do too. I think the part that stays fixed all the time will be lime squeeze and the removable part black.

There has been a ton of talent and hours put into this. Just a shot out and an "at a boy" to whomever took the pic at the Biltmore. Looks great.

That thing looks incredible.

They do sell plastic/nylon tubing in many different colors YOU KNOW!
I am not familiar but am definitely interested. Help?

That was allot of hard work. I'm sure countless hours involved. Great job to all that had a hand in that .

This cargo carrier will be a game changer for us. We love to take two day trips with the SS but now the two day trips can easily turn into four day weekends. The little woman is already talking flea market trips and is looking for waterproof luggage.

Well, fabrication is nearly complete. Everything worked exactly as airoutlaw said it would. Only thing left for me to fabricate is the pvc to cover the all thread and its on to paint. I have mixed feelings about whether to go lime squeeze or to paint it black. Black would be much easier that's for sure.

I placed an order with DDM Works Thursday 12/07 at around 5am. I did it wrong. Order wouldn't process. I was walking around Wal-Mart waiting on tires to be put on my truck the same day at around 10am. I figured, what the hell, I'll call DDM Works and find out what happened. This is my first order with DDM . Spoke with Angie on the phone she was extremely helpful and corrected my mistake. She said the order will go out today. I thought yea okay. I was hoping to get it in a week. Ten minutes ago during supper the UPS man put my order on my porch. I place an order by phone and 30 hours later it was on my porch. It was UPS ground. Hats off to DDM Works for doing what they say and giving excellent service. I only found DDM Works after joining this forum. I can't say enough about Dave and his people. When I first got my SS, I wanted a turbo. I contacted another company I seen on YouTube and they would not respond. So I found this forum which led to DDM Works. I called Dave and Angie with a list of questions a mile long. They took the time to answer every one. They didn't know me from Adam and still don't. I will get a turbo when my warranty runs out and it will be DDM Works where I go for all of it. These folks really know what good customer service is and deserve a big pat on the back. Thanks Dave and Angie. Hope to meet you folks in person soon.

Thank you folks for the input. Greatly appreciated. Pads are on the way.

It's winter time and time for Slingshot upgrades. I just ordered the Hawk 5.0 pads (keeping stock rotors). Also ordered the master cylinder bracket. Both I got from Dave @ DDM Works. Thanks Dave. Angie is so knowledgeable and professional. I would like to reach out to my Slingshot brothers and sisters who have "been there done that". Any insight or pointers would be very helpful. Not my first brake job by any means but the best Slingshot minds aren't at Polaris, they are on this forumOnce again, thanks in advance for reading my post and responding.

Sadly we are not going to make it. The company that was to come put in our heat pump is going to be delayed over a month. We still live in the dark ages and burn wood for heat. Lol! Had a heat pump install scheduled for December. Now it has been pushed to Jan or Feb. Can't leave pets home with no heat. Ugh. Was really looking forward to it. Even got a new back tire for Sling yesterday.

Looks great. I hope to work on mine more tomorrow.

Yes now I see the additional benefit of the pvc. I will post a ton of pics. Thanks once again airoutlaw for all your hard work and paving the way to make this super easy for me. I considering capping the end of the ends of the 1" conduit. I don't have the benefit of using black paint. I wish I did I have a ton of it. I'm afraid that the high dollar lime squeeze paint I had mixed won't stick to the wooden dowel ends. Paint store said it wouldn't.

Drilled and tapped my clamps today and cut my threaded rod at four inches. Ready to cut and fit conduit tomorrow. Can't wait to continue to move forward. One difference I do see with the Bullet Speed top versus the Twist Top, the canvas cover covers a little more area than the Twist Top. Might have to modify canvas top a few inches where the back to clamps connect.

Reese has been delivered as well as clamps. Time to pick up smalls.
