I'll have been married 36 years in December...

It only took me 3 women to get there. 😅

To the Captain's credit, she's now been with me for more time than the other two put together. She's really damn near perfect 😘 It's just her taste in men that keeps costing her the 5th star in those online reviews. 😉

The article is from Tech Crunch, and obviously written by someone who has no idea about our vehicle. He harps on about how the sling needed an automatic transmission, but hates what Polaris did to achieve that. He also bangs on about how the Slingshot is slow (compared to what?) and then whines that it isn't electric.

Obviously has no clue about the weight restrictions needed to bring this vehicle to production. It's clear from his description of his first drive that he wants a Tesla or some other 1-pedal vehicle where the computer nannies do all your thinking for you.

Meh, a funny read but no more informed than the average person I meet at Walmart who wants to talk about Ruby.

The Captain & I both got ours a couple weeks ago as soon as they were available.

I've been isolated so long, I'm sure my general immunity is going waaaay down. Exposure to goofy college students is kinda like an ongoing flu shot. I'm normally exposed to damn near everything in the course of a regular school year, not to mention that I visit 25-30 elementary, middle, and HS campuses for my work each year!

We did not bring the Slingshot down... Georgia had hip surgery 15 Sept 2020 and is not getting around good enough to get in/out of Slingshot. We weren't sure when we headed to Branson if we were going to be able to make it a week....were at home so she will be able to rest a little and do the things she need to do to get stronger.

My prayers are for both of you. Give Georgia my best!

Well Doc - One way or another I will do my best to figure it out. Sometimes I am persistent and sometimes I am just plain stubborn! But I haven't been beaten yet and ain't about to start now. It just might take a little time. I just prefer to use the existing wiring and not have to run a new set thru the transmission tunnel. The pre-wired fog lights were much easier.

Looking forward to taking a few lessons after you master this!

Remember to take plenty of pictures!

If you're going to wait for your original pads to wear out, you'll be old and grey. The oem pads wear like iron. You'll probably get over 100K miles out of them and change them at that point out of guilt and not necessity

This kinda sounds like my Kenda tires on the front... 19K and they look like they got another 19 K to go!

Thinking about replacing them when I get a new rear tire... the Cooper is about worn down to the wear bars now with 11K miles on it.

Drove out to a campground near Eureka Springs to help with an astronomy event. Nice place, clear dark skies. The hit of the night was a 20-inch Dobsonian telescope. Takes 4 people to get it set up, provides beautiful views of Andromeda galaxy & more...

As usual however, Ruby draws far more attention than I do! Several people wanted to sit in the driver's seat and see how it felt. One rather stoned 20-something lad stepped in front of me as I was driving out of the campground and insisted on telling me all about the orange '17 sling he's "going to get" any day now. 😄

Got mine shifter in the other day but my knob want go all the way down to secure it, still using the original rubber boot, did yall remove the metal ring on top of boot?

I did remove the ring. My old shifter had a ring that threaded onto the knob - obvious that it wasn't needed here. DDM knob is flat bottomed, fits snug against the rubber boot, looks great.
