Here is a shorter route, not as scenic since it doesn't include the covered bridge in Cornwall and it doesn't go thru Kent but it is about 30 miles shorter. Just in case you get sunburned in your speedo

I'll put together a couple of routes this evening and we can decide which one everyone likes best. Does anyone know of an easy to use program to plot out a route in map form that can be easily manipulated?

This is right from DMMworks website. I bought the Street 5.0 and they changed the way the SS stops. It now stops! No pumping required. They do dust a bit but not terrible. Next time I will go ceramic.

"The Hawk pads come in 3 varieties, Street 5.0, Ceramic and Street Race. For most installations, the Street 5.0 or Ceramic is going to be the best option. The Ceramic option is very low dust, the Street 5.0 is our favorite pad here with great pedal feel and stopping power, but some dusting, lastly the Street Race pad is designed for track duty and clamps down hard but also dusts the most, not recommended for most drivers."

Unfortunately, it wouldn't do much good. NYS only allows their "Certified" companies to tow on any of the thruways. They have a freaking monopoly at the hands of the state Goverment.

Matt, that is just awful!!! First thing I thought of reading this, was the fact that I was too late registering for the Polaris free roadside assistance back in March!

the worse part is the tow truck driver didn't carry any tools. A word of caution to all - the Slingshot will not go up the ramp of a flatbed without removing the front spoiler. Thankfully I carry some small hand tools - adjustable wrench and stuff. But even that was difficult since the 8 bolts (2 different sizes) are inside of brackets so getting on them was tough. From now on I am bringing a rachet with the correct sockets. Can you believe the driver charged me 30 minutes to remove the spoiler? I removed it with my tools and got my dress slacks and shirt dirty and the ahole charged me!

I wanted to do the coast and the haul out there wouldn't have been the issue, I just couldn't get my $ss out of bed early enough to shower, take the 1.15 minute ride out there by 7:45. I had a long week. Next time lets start at say 10? Lol

If I can get up early enough I'll join you guys. Someone PM me your phone number and I'll text you in the morning if I'm on my way. It will be a haul so I'll have to hit the road rear early to make 7:45

    Matt is still crying cry-squared
Yesterday was such a nice day, I took the Slingshot to Albany to our office there. On my way home, going over the Castleton on the Hudson bridge on 90 (NY Thruway) I hit something that looked to have fallen off the truck in front of me and hear a big pfffffffffffff. Steering got tight and I got off the bridge and on the shoulder. I couldn't find anything in the tire so I thought I might be in good shape and whipped out my mini compressor and slime. Well, the tire wouldn't inflate and the slime revealed the slice in the tire. Had to get towed on a flatbed to the nearest Polaris dealer - Teixeira's Polaris in Hyde Park. The flat occurred after 5pm and I got towed 60 miles. Cost...... $441 for the tow and $341 for tire replacement. Talk about a real bad ending to what should have been a good day. Hopefully, I can pick up the SS tomorrow. The item sticking out of the tire was to show damage. All I could see was the slice in the tread which somehow made its way to the sidewall.
