I went with a 7x14 Sur-Trak open trailer. I sold my dump trailer and still wanted something that a can use to haul stuff other than the Slingshot. I figured I could add three - 5/4 decking as removable sides to carry mulch, dirt, stone, lumber and other things for the yard. Cost was $2750 plus mounting hardware which I installed and Race Ramp extenders.

@Publius..Matt that soapy pick just hurts to see! I waxes mine up today..Spray waxed the tub and everything black.. Just need to do rims. Hooked up to trickle and nice & warm under cover..Sad Sight!have been out there in the cold washing it!
i washed her inside and out in the cold! It has never seen so much soap and water. But it is now sleeping comfortably in my dad's heated garage. I'm goi g to come back up around Christmas and pull the manifold and exhaust and have them ceramic coated.

Loaded up the Slingshot and drove three hour so to my father house for winter storage. Got full of road grime since the roads were all wet, so I had to give 'er a bath. She will now sleep the winter next to the old man's Viper

Got a nice ride in yesterday through Litchfield and over to Sayville Dam. It was perfect riding weather. Today, woke up to snow
-
Hey Jay - Phil, Tony, Greg and I rode today. We squeezed one more ride in this year.

If the weather is nice I'm in
same here. Cold won't bother me, I just don't take the toys out in the rain.

Not that I'm a Facebook guru, but wouldn't it be best to make it a "group" page where you can have it open or closed to the public. As it is now, I posted a picture from a July run with several of us and the post appears as a sidebar but no picture. If you make it a group, I beleive we can all post on the timeline. My 2 cents

Sorry I couldn't make this run. The ride and BBQ sounds like a plan. Just don't do it the weekend of 10/15. I'll be in FL visiting my daughter and sister.

I've done a few rides with a Solstice group and the front and rear persons have a walkie talkie which they stay in contact should the group get cut off. The tail guy usually knows the route as well.

I'm a little pissed I couldn't make it this year. Is this gonna be an annual event? How many Slingshots were in attendance?

My slideshow from the trip from Ft. Wayne to Lake George
Lake George Event Slideshow by slolane | Photobucketgreat pictures. Beautiful scenery up there. Thanks for sharing.

I just left a message on their page asking if it was true that they turned away 20 or so Slingshots and wouldn't let them ride in the event. It looks like they have to approve the post before it shows up so I guess it will not ever be posted.
-
Wow that really sucks. Sorry to hear you guys got boned. I know you were all looking forward to the ride.
-
Sorry that your dad is in the hospital Tony. Hoping for a speedy recovery and return home.
-
Which exhaust are you going for? Single or Dual. I'd have to see the dual up close. Based on the pictures I've seen, I can't see how it would work with any of the rear fenders currently on the market

Bones - if you have nothing to do this afternoon, mine could use 2.5 hours of detailing.

I am in the middle of using weekends to strip and redo my deck. With rain in the forecast tomorrow I'm not sure I can lose most od Sunday. Keep posting the plan and I maybe a last minute entry depending on a bunch of factors.

I know he was online after we posted in that thread. I guess he doesn't want to come out and play.
