I note that the new 2021 is down 100 lbs too from the 2019. (I don't remember seeing 2020 #s.)

If you're not looking to run sound competitions and just want to be able to hear your stereo when driving (fast), consider the Kenwood M3000 series. They are marine capable and specifically designed for motorcycles so small size. I have the M3004 to run 4 Kicker 6.5" in the SSV Works Front and Rear Deck pods and I can hear it fine. (My daughter told me she could hear it a block away.) I've been thinking about the M3001 to drive a subwoofer. And the price is much more reasonable - sub $200.

Woke up near freezing and bundled up to head to the "Pistons in the Park" GTG (like Cars and Coffee). Left a little early to go get breakfast at Cracker Barrel. Then home for errands.
But the sun came out to mid-60s. So I jumped in and just took off. Went around Balcones Wildlife Area, along Cow Creek road, then got lost. Ended up on a dirt and rock road for about a mile. Did about 100 miles total. Was a great time. Sorry, no pics.

We had to take some trees out of the front yard, so Georgia thought we should get a live potted evergreen for a Christmas Tree and plant it on the 27 Dec 2020.
slingshotinfo.com/wcf/index.php?attachment/114592/About 3ft tall --- first real tree we had in the house in a long time.
[/quote]Did the same thing as a kid. Always had a 1-2 ft tall live tree that we planted after xmas at my grandparents mountain house. Those trees grow about a ft per year so they were pretty big soon.

Yeah, truthfully, that is the one thing I am not looking forward too. I have too many lights and wires up there so it's going to be real hard to track down them all and check all those connections.

For those that don't know, that's Ryan Reynolds!

Looking good. Okay, give us an honest review of it. I have a kenwood now that water has damaged the inputs for the front and rear cameras and front button LED lights. Stereo/Android Auto/Bluetooth/etc works fine, but I really miss not having the cameras, front and rear. I might have already jumped on this one if it had the front camera (ie dash cam recorder) option so I might think of that. Give us your PROs and CONs.

Kewl, let us know your long term thoughts.
How's the screen visibility in the light?

Second 3D printer project I’m working on, going to test my fiberglass and Bondo skills with this one. Need to make a new hood plate to mount the scoop on, then try to figure out how to make it functional.
Let us know if you figure it out. That section of the hood is REALLY close to the engine and does bounce around some. I replaced my hood vents with a clear lexan cover and the bolts still hit the valve cover even though they only stuck out of the nuts about 1/4".

I am so envious... Nice pics again.... Thanks
That is the ONLY thing I miss about California. Within an hour in any direction of Los Angeles, you can be at the beach, the mountains with snow, the coast, the desert, you name it. There was 1 week where we spent Christmas skiing up in Big Bear and then New Years down at Huntington.

Definitely to boost!
Yeah, I couldn't pass up that deal. I was all set for a SC, but when I looked at the cost of the SC (even with your deal) plus exhaust, it just didn't make sense to go SC over the turbo. So instead, I spent some (not all) of the money difference on other pretties.
And where did I miss the Stage 1 to 2 conversion kit?

I some how some way need to force myself to stay off of DDM’s website. My wife is going to kill me one of these days.
Thank you Dave@DDMWorks and Angie@DDMWorks for the great holiday deals!A few years back, I told her it was the strip club or the slingshot club. After a while, she figured out the strip club would have taken less of my time and money.

Prob after Christmas. Or maybe Christmas day!

Oh, this is opening a can of worms.
On SS #2, I regretted trying to paint a lot of the plastic with a rattle can. No matter how hard you try, it's just not perfect.
On this SS, I think the only thing I regret is some of the engine accessories that I've paid for already that will have to be pulled off soon. I really should have just bit the big $$ bullet up front instead of spending money on stuff that would eventually be pulled off (CAI, ECM Tune, etc)

Gotta luv pkgs from DDM. Installation on Sunday.

So here it is. DDM Fender Vents. Easy to do, but do-it-yourself-vasectomy scary.
Can't go back now. I did it a little different than DDM's instructions. I instead drilled a 1/2" hole in the corners, then used a vibratory saw to cut along the inner brace (Their instructions say use a 1/4" Drill as a cutter all along the edge). Cut it rough then fine tuned and sanded the cut.
Then instead of using the provided stainless steel screws, I used black painted self-tapping truss head screws. Makes a cleaner, flusher look in my opinion.
And the final job:
Now, com'on Dave@DDMWorks and Angie@DDMWorks - let's get the Black Friday sale going!
