As long as you're not going to go too heavy (>25 amps), just get the FZ-1 Fuse Block from Slingmods. It's switchable to ignition, or not, by circuit and has 6 circuits. While you are there, you can pick up a couple Otto K1 switches to run whatever you need. And if you're really crazy, you can check out my thread on the Otto K1 Switches about getting some specialty switches

Thanks the FZ1 was what is was looking at but just wasn’t sure. Assuming the K1 switch will fit into the slots with no issues? So when I make up my mind on lights (hopefully before long). guess I’ll be reaching out again if any issues with wiring. Thanks.

Yes, the K1 IS the SS switch. Just push it in.

Not here for the politics, and I didn't read most of these posts. Just my experience:

    • Signed up for the vaccine on Saturday since Texas says they were expanding the eligibility listing.
    • Became eligible on Monday.
    • Got an email about 5pm Tuesday to make an appointment. Made the appt at 530pm
    • Got the 1st shot (Moderna) by 6:15pm.
      • Heck, could of had it done 10 mins earlier but it took me some time to finish the registration online. I wasn't technically Texting While Driving since I was actually Registering While Driving. Doing it via cell phone. . . . .
    • No side-effects, but it feels like someone punched me hard in the shoulder even 2 days later.
    • Eligible for 2nd shot in 4 weeks. They told me it had to be 28 days - they wouldn't give me the shot at 27 days.

Well, rain killed the mornings and early afternoons both Sat & Sun. But got out for a late afternoon/evening ride both days.

Met a group of 3 SS at Chuy'sfor dinner Sat night and then a local little car meet for just a min. No Pics.

Then went for a beer Sun afternoon and put a quick FB post out that "I need a beer - anyone wanna join?" and Lo and Behold:

Oh, and the beer: Barking Armadillo. (Note those clouds....)

I used one of the generic Amazon mounts. I modified the "vent clip" portion to bolt to the center windshield brace similar to the RAM mount above. Since I use the Car Play stereo, which gives me GPS, stereo, etc, i included the USB cable so that I could charge and be connected at all times. Been 18+ months with no issues whatsoever - other than forgetting it is there when I get out of the sling.

    Okay, my NYC story:

When I was 15, we traveled from Los Angeles to New Jersey via car for my parents to go to a convention. Took the train from NJ into NYC. Buddy and I have to go to the restroom right off the train in Penn station. We walk into the restrooom: There are 2 guys at the Urinal. Wearing under-arm holsters. Hugging. While Peeing.

I didn't have to go any more.

Same here I'm leaning towards getting them in Maggie Valley and getting DDM to install them. I'm fair at the DIY work but if I mess up my hood I would not be happy. I also just completed my latest round of mods if I get too bored I'll give it a go.

Good thing about this is even if you do FUBAR it, the vent's cover your cut line so no problem at all. I used one of the vibratory cutters, cutting it really rough to get rid of most of the material. Then I used the understructure as a guide line to do a final cut then just a little sand paper on the edges to remove the plastic trims. Then the vent covers those cuts by about an inch anyways so as long as you don't FUBAR all the way across the hood, you should be good. Believe me, drinking the beer will take longer than installing them.

The mesh is held on to the vent by VHB tape (included). You can actually install the mesh with the vent still installed on the SS.

I decided to take my vents off to install as I was actually looking to see if I could countersink the vents so that they mounted directly to the undercarriage and be flush with the hood, but that's not really feasible. I don't think I could cut a nice straight line to be pretty enough when complete and I think the vent is thinner than the hood plastic itself, so it wouldn't fit flush anyways without a spacer.
