Finally got mine done. Tried several different mounting methods before coming up with my solution. I can hardly wait for spring to come and use it on a trip.

In post #8 I said I had a Bullet Speed top, but looking at slingmods site I have the Twist Dynamics. When I bought my 2018 in June the dealer was putting the top on a showroom SS and I told them I would buy my SS that day if they would install it on mine. So I really hadn't paid much attention to what I had.

Thank You, That is the pictures I was looking for. Very well done indeed. That is what I want to do to mine. Pretty sure I ordered same rack but in black.

I will use the way airoutlaw mounted his, but the one someone put pictures up of was aluminium with a streamlined look. I already have the ones I got from Slinglow for the rollbars but they don't work with my Bullet Speed top. The frame on the BS top seems sturdy enough to hold what I would use it for.
I would take top off but wife says not if she is along for trip.

I found one but this isn't the one I just saw. The one I saw looked like a rack the JET.com sells. If someone can send me in the right direction, Thanks.

Just a few weeks ago I saw where someone put a luggage rack. I been searching everywhere trying to find where I saw it

Mark, what an awesome mod. Quality of current production run was above my expectations. Three hours to install and I did not hurry. Turned out to be mostly just a bolt on mod. Thanks for doing all the extra work to get the fenders ready to bolt on. When I started reading the beginning of this thread it looked like more than I wanted to do.

My 2018 S that is only 4 months old has a battery that won't start the motor. I called dealer this morning and ask if I could bring battery in and let them test it. They said yes and it only has a 30 day warranty. I called Polaris and got bounced around to 4 different departments and no one could give me an answer about warranty. I asked about Sling vehicle warranty and got one answer 1 year and another that it is 2 year. Having bought a 2011 and a 2014 Polaris Victory Motorcycle I should know by now about Polaris and their warranties.
I'm switching over to a Optima.

OK, what do i do to get a set of luggage racks?

I bought one off EBAY 2015-2018. It is a pdf. disk. seems pretty thorough. The wiring diagrams only go to 2017. The disk has separate files for wiring diagrams, owners manual, and service manual. I bought my 2018 June 6 and the owners manual that came with it has been updated on the Polaris site. The OM that came with mine shows not changing angle drive oil till 50K. New release shows changing it on the 500 mile service.
Disk is like 600+ pages, and looks like a copy of Polaris one. Think it is well worth the money. I printed a lot of it out and made a book for the shop.

The first oil change for the engine is at 500 miles, not the angle drive
I just downloaded manual for 2018 off Polaris site and it has a "R" in 500 mile box for the angle drive. That's what I was questioning. They must have added it to the newer manual.

I just checked the 2018 owners manual and it says first change is at 500 mile. Did they change this for a reason. I did my 500 mile myself on my 2018 and thought it said 2500 miles. Can't remember where I saw that. I got 1200 miles on it so I guess I need to go ahead and change it. Already bought the Royal Purple. Just a side note, my 2018 has the zerk fitting on the U-joint. That tool came from Amazon today.

Have you left your ignition on for a length of time? Over a minute without starting it? Listening to radio? Leaving it on for a period without starting it messes with the electronic steering. Others know well about this issue maybe they can chime in.
It's a base model and don't have a radio. But that sounds like what happened. I was having battery problems when it happened. I charged battery and tightened cables, and steering corrected itself. Today I installed the Optima battery, I don't want to mess with OEM small battery.

It's a almost stock new 2018 S with a top, SL wheels, JRI shocks, and F4 shield. Went back out tonight and turned steering wheel with engine off and steering wheel went back to normal position. It looked like SW turned and wheels stayed straight. I know this don't sound right. I looked at joints on shaft and everything looks connected an tight. Anyway I went out to dinner in the SS and it drove ok. The wife is starting to get afraid to be in it. Mike

I pulled it from the garage to the carport. Maybe 50 feet. Washed it and went to back it out and noticed the steering wheel was to the side. It still steers but the only thing I did was wash it.

2018 about 6 weeks old. Started off with POS battery stranded the wife 2 days ago and me yesterday. Dealer said I could bring in battery and they would test it. When I went to take it out neg cable was a little loose. I did have it disconnected before I tightened cable and charged battery and every thing seemed ok. I still ordered Optima kit from Slingmods. Then I decided to give it first wet cleaning. Now with wheels straight ahead steering wheel is 90 degrees off to the left. Did I do something wrong or did something else break? Thanks in advance, Mike FTW TX

The Polaris and Slingmods sites show those 2 alarms don't work on a 2018. I had a choice a month ago to buy a 2017 or 2018. I wish I would have bought the 2017. I'm finding several accessories don't work on the 2018. (radio, alarm, service manual, wiring harness for radio and camera, & others.
