And here is what I have to put in. 10 amp fuse, and the alignment looks like it will take up two fuse spots?

I told you all that electronics is the one wrenching I don’t have experience in...
I’ve got my LED light controller to install today. The video shows where to put the fuse in, but my fuse box doesn’t match the video. There are no empty slots.
See attached pic. If no empty slots then I have to assume each fuse is controlling something - they aren’t spares just sitting in there, correct?
Pardon my lack of knowledge. The only way to learn is to ask.

Ok I got the answer as I suspected. Yellow to blue, black to black. But had to be sure!

Well the one thing dad never taught me was electrical stuff.
I have a Kicker LED marine speaker to put in. The LED connector has red, green, blue, and black wires. I cut the connector off and stripped the wires.
Now I have to put a different connector on. This connector has red, green, black, and yellow wires.
Red to red. Green to green. Fine.
For the rest, Blue to black, or blue to yellow?

Well @studiopeg, looks like you can #PayItForward to another individual... Doesn't look like the 2017 pods will fit my 2015 frame.
@SSREAPER, thanks for helping out Peg while thinking of me! I know you were going to do it regardless, but I appreciate the help Philip! The search continues...
A couple of other quick questions slingmods: Do you know what changed? It's interesting that the SSV Gen 2 fit all, but not OEMs... Is it just a bolt? What do the backs of the SSVs look like to accommodate all frames? Thanks for the help as I search for gently used 2015/2016 stock pods or SSV Gen 1/2 pods.
Bummer for you. But at least you found out ahead of time.

You use the same ones from the top. The top uses the stock bolts for the front if I remember correctly.
SSREAPERYep!

Yes -- thank you very much, but SSreaper dug his out.
You guys are all GREAT!

Could these possibly work?

Not sure... I will be driving my sling home tomorrow from the shop (with no side mirrors). I will have to look at the configuration.

Bwaa haa haa!
Thanks, let me know what you find. If so I will pay it forward with my pods to Venomous

I just had my canvas bullet top assembly removed, and the side mirrors cannot be re-attached because the mounting plate is missing.
Called the dealership - the plate is not offered separately, so I have to buy 2 new mirrors. Crap.
Before I do that, any other suggestions?

No, they are the oem version 1 pods, and they are carbon fibered...
Those Gen 2s look sweet! No, they are the oem version 1 pods, and they are carbon fibered...

OK thanks. I'm trying to find out if the 2nd gen stick out less then the stock pods. So far nobody has them to be able to tell me..........If they sit more flush, I may get them and let you have my stock pods. So hold tight until I can find someone who has these SSV pods.

I love them. I installed their windshield the other week. Color coded bags and instructions! No written in China instructions. Clear. Concise. Thorough.
The easiest mod yet because of their perfect and clear step by step instructions.
Plus the windshield is great!

I have questions for you............
-
Just the driver's side? What about balance and symmetry?
Also, I know I've asked before, but... I'm interested in those if you aren't...
As for you question, Rab will know... He's the audio king! Great system, that isn't overdone, but done well and done loud. I want to grow up and be like him...
Hey MiM,
Do you have the SSV Works 2nd generation front speaker pods?
-
@studiopeg, If you don't mind, what did that package cost? Thanks!

A ridiculous amount. Had I done my homework I could have gotten it for quite a bit less through my light guy who always buys from joeflorida.com (standup outfit!).Anyway it was $1,500. But at least it was all plug and play - I would have had to do a lot of soldering and measuring otherwise.

I dont have any recommendations on a controller. They are all about the same..... Since your not buying the LED lights pre configured as a kit I would just look on amazon and ebay for a LED controller . Make sure it is strong enough to do what you want and make sure it is either bluetooth or wifi.
Not much to worry about. They are all cheap... And in my case I just ordered 3 or 4 different ones and tried them all. I ended up building my own controller out of several others.
Hey Rabtech!I bought a bunch of LEDs from LEDs of Texas, prewired, plug n play, with a 3 zone Morimoto XBT controller. Everything is ready to be put on.
My lighting guy who is great, totally anal, does everything correctly the first time, can't get to it until August. I'm not waiting that long. So I am going to attempt this myself (except for the wheels).
The package includes:
3 wheel lights that require the wheels to be taken off (I'll leave that for someone who can take them off) (zone 1)
2 upper eyebrow strips (not the turn signal type) (zone 1)
2 lower splitter strips (not the turn signal type) (zone1)
2 long underbody strips mounted in aluminum frames (zone 2)
1 short underbody strip for "bumper" tube (zone 2)
4 LED speakers (added myself) (zone 2)
4 halos (zone 3)
2 roll bar strips (zone 3)I added in a 5-way splitter to zone 2 to accommodate the 4 LED speakers.
Any advice?
THANKS!!

Great work!
I'd want the front pods because I don't mind the space they take up and am looking to have them painted to better go with my theme...The ones I have now can't be painted and I'd be passing them on to someone else in need...
#payitforward
Let me think about this. I'm being cautious on selling anything stock because there will come the day when I sell the Sling (hopefully not for a long time) and someone may balk at having no front pods.
I'm bookmarked this so I can refer back to it.

Thanks everyone for the help. After reading the replies, I tackled it again and one side is done. What a difference from the stock speakers! And I love the leg room now. Getting an air ride installed tomorrow so won’t get the other side done until next week.
Couldn’t have done it without your help.
And while we’re at it, see the ugly bolt holes on the roll bar? Do they make something to cover that up? Looks terrible.
