Save a Scorpio on the SS, had the same system on my Wing. Proximity alert is a PITA. Goes off when someone parks next to you’ll or if the cat walks by in the middle of the night.
Turned off the proximity alert on both the Wing and the SS. Can sleep through the night.

Just what I was thinking...

Nancy and I will have our Ram 2500 with us, just in case. Space for three extra if it rains. Otherwise, we’re riding Nuc ‘em down.

Congrats on the new toy. When I sold the Wing my choice was either the Sling or a Vet. For me, the Sling won. Enjoy yourself.

Display MoreOkay, it was maybe a week this time...
112 threads later!
I'll be catching up over the next day or so... Did anybody miss me?
Yeah, didn't think so...
Anyway, a couple of you know, reason being, we finally bought a house here in San Antonio!
Now most of our stuff is moved, but the garage is full and I still have the Slingshot at the condo... Haven't driven her in quite some time...
But the wife and girls are much happier with the extra space!
Now let me read and see what y'all been up to...
Congratulations! I love San Antonio. Spent about 5 or 6 years there at Randolph.

John, some folks you know live less than 5 miles from me. The minute Mark said his TN brother went to NM to buy a Slingshot --- I knew. Will send them a card and give Mark a ride when his knee gets better.
Holly Molly! He will get a real kick out of it. We have both been sports/performance car afflilicandos all our lives.

@pricejh61@Ross would tell you different --- BUT I am innocent … true lots of times when I'm out and about some young lady just wants to go for a ride. Pictures will be coming to you from a 3rd party. Debbie did enjoy a short ride.
Looking forward to meeting you in Maggie Valley.
Guilty until proven guilty!

I just ordered in some 6x9 flags for the Slingshot and trying to decide where/how I want to mount them. Let’s see some pics of how everyone has theirs mounted. I need some more inspiration!

pricejh61: Are you driving your SS to Maggie Valley or using a trailer ?
We’re driving the SS. Actually, Nancy is driving, I’m pulling the Denali behind the Ram.

Anyone know of a good website to find current road construction info on the roads around Maggie and Smoky’s? And/or can any locals chime in and give us a heads up on some roads we may want to avoid? Hoping NC and Ten don’t do the stinkin’ chip seal.
If you are passing thru Knoxville on I-40 use caution. I understand that there is a "bump" on a bridge near Papermill that has caused some people to have issues. Especially with low profile tires. TDOT supposedly has adjusted the approaches to remove the hard edge. I haven't been over that section of freeway is a couple of months.
I'm not sure if I am the only one...but when I put my VIN and name in...it just goes to a blank page. Like I didn't do anything. So...I guess I'm not joining lol
I filled the vin and my last name. Got a e-mail from Polaris touting the new models and telling me to hold on for more info. I think I need to contact them about the ownership change as well as to update the warranty info.

I think tripod had one and it looks good
Yes, Nuc’ em has one. Combined with a hugger fender it looks excellent. Plus, I don’t get the road dirt kicked up on the back panels like many do.

Can't wait to finally meet you, sir!
I've been wondering if I should get a supply of nametags....LOL
Probably a good idea.

Our experience with the Sena intercom, to listen to the radio first the driver, (primary headset), is tuned to the radio and then the passenger headset can be piggy backed. It is either the intercom, or the radio, but not both. Too bad they do not have a system like we have in the airplane where we can listen to the entertainment, but when someone talks the entertainment is automatically muted and the system goes to the communication side. After being quiet for a time the system then automatically goes back to the entertainment.
Bill
I never understood why that auto/bike world didn’t piggyback on the aviation audio panels.
