@FunCycle I couldn't agree with you more!! For the first 3 months I dove my sling it kept had this "hunting" feeling. Wanting to go left then go right ...the steering was stupid sensitive and if you hit a bump in the road and just so happen to not have your hand on the wheel...oh boy!
I took it to Reggie at TricLED here is Florida and he laser aligned it....best 100 bucks I ever spent. What a night and day difference. Now it steers like a dream. If you haven't had it done....DO IT! I promise you will not be disappointed.

    SSREAPER

@SSREAPER, mine is doing the exact same thing. Maybe not as bad, but I went out and got the DDM sway bar and everything and really isn't any better. If anything, the wider tires on the front and the added horsepower of the turbo... kind of a bad combo. Just need to find someone who does it. Thanks for the info. I kept thinking this thing has got to drive and handle better than it does...

Got to love the fact that Polaris doesn't put the ride hight in the manual as they don't want it changed. Quick question... if I'm running 1" larger OD tires on mine, is it better to lower the thing 1/2 inch to stock 6.25 or to keep the extra at 6.75? This may be purely based on what you like... just didn't know if there was a technical reason either way. I don't see one either way... thoughts?

Yes, same thing, but clicks a handful of times when it does it. I'm not sure if the tension is an issue or not. Was just thinking if I raised it then a little and back off on the tension if it would change it. I had thought the QA1 shocks came already adjusted, but maybe not.

I just don't want to do any permanent damage to the rear. I was scheduled to do a 1.5 hour drive tonight... just not sure if I should cancel, but that fails in comparison to the 16 hours to Maggie Valley.

OK, so I've upgraded so much and need to understand the clicking noice coming from my rear end. I got the AQ1 coilovers. If I push on my belt, it's tight... maybe too tight. Doesn't move much. I think if I raise up the sling in the back a bit, it should loosen the belt a little, no? Clicking just started and I really only hear it when I first start moving in first gear. I ordered a tension gauge, but won't be in until Wednesday. Question is, should I not drive it? Common sense tells me no, but I'm also trying to put some miles on it before we leave for Maggie Valley too. Not sure if there is any other reason for this to start clicking. I've only got 3K miles on it, so who knows.

    Thoughts?

Anyone around Tri-State or N.East area going down? Was trying to meet up with @mytoy, but he's leaving a day earlier than we are. We'll be arriving Monday afternoon down at Johnathan Creak Inn. That means we'll be leaving the Baltimore Maryland suburbs early Monday AM. If anyone wants to join. We will be driving through VA then Monday AM. Would be good to catch up with anyone going down that same time frame.

I need to catch up on the boards and get an itinerary in place. @KayTwo, I'd love to get down and see you for lunch on Wednesday.

I dont understand why anyone wouldnt "admit" to owning something...is boost shaming a thing now? lol.

I have products from all the companies on my sling currently...Alpha, Hahn, DDM, ect. I dont play the brand loyal game with anything I own. Competition between companies brings new innovation to the market and it only hurts the community when one of them goes under.

Its not a shocker more people chose the DDM SC because its a easier install and easier to work with over all, but its limiting. For some they are completely fine with the sock configuration or changing the pulley size but for me personally I wanted more flexibility then that. There is a reason people who are chasing high hp numbers use turbo setups regardless who makes them...

I agree that it comes down to personal choice. I got the Hahn for the FIC and second set of injectors which I like. I'll go as far as saying it's better for me as I want to learn more about the boost and pulling logs and such. I like the analytics. Can I get it from other systems... sure, can add it. But the price was good and it's what I wanted. But I also have DDM's name all over my other products. Display Welter's name as well. As long as I feel I am getting support from Hahn and he stands behind his work, I'm good. I like turbo, but in truth haven't driven a supercharger. Maybe someday... but no plans on switching at the moment as I haven't learned enough about what the product can do. I will have to say that I have had both good and bad interactions with every vendor that I have purchased from... except for Welter and find his customer service to be one of the best out there. For the vendors I haven't had the pleasure, I'll be down at Maggie... bring it on!

OK now I feel left out. I was just kidding when I said I got the card and they asked me not to join. I haven't got an invitation! ?( I am the 1st registered owner of my 16.5 but it was originally bought at a Red Cross auction and was donated by Polaris. Are they ignoring me before I ignore them?

If you didn't actually spend money, they probably don't want anything to do with you. As much as they are milking everyone for stupid stuff... I guess asking for help and input is a good thing, but why haven't they listened to customer comments about other things?

    OMG

I have been waiting my hole life for a place I can go and talk to others about my slingshot fetish.... I'm SO EXCITED. It's like nothing else out there where like minded people who have nothing better to do with their money can get together. This is awesome! Club slingshot here I come... you even get a MEMBERSHIP CARD... I'm hoping it comes with a decoder ring, but ... wow!!!!!!!
