Please let us know when you get it figured out! Would like to know. I'm thinking about getting a slingshot and keeping track of everything and debating on whether to make the jump or not. Seems to be a money pit, but hard to tell on some things because of everyone modding them so much.

Here is the video I was talking about.....accidentally came across it again! Couldn't find it searching for it!....lol

Can see in the comments he said the following:
In the end it was a burnt connection to the top fuse in the rear fusebox. After this was repaired, and a lot of the half-assed alarm wiring in the vehicle was removed, everything worked fine.

Might not be the same issue, but something to look at.

Had a weird one yesterday. Stopped for gas on my way home. When I went to restart nothing came on except for the start button. I started the bike, but not lights on the dash no tach, no speedometer, radio and most of all no power steering. I pulled away from the pump and sat there for a couple of minutes and then the dash came on and everything was OK. Well except for the check engine light.

There was a video on youtube and I can't find it now, but he was having the same issue and I believe it was something with the fuse box. I think that is the one Polaris replaced the whole box and stuff. If I come across the video, I'll share it.

I never see them around Pittsburgh. I have seen maybe 2 in the last couple of years. Hoping to get one at some point! If I do see them, they have only been the red ones.

While sure, the SS does have some issues with build quality... (but for those who enjoy modding, it's not an issue). Doesn't matter what year model you buy either, they are all fun and engaging out of the box!
Regarding your question on Ride Command... I can see them offering a conversion kit for those who've already purchased an SS and having it as a feature/option for newer models. Polaris has invested a TON in the Ride Command ecosystem and it only makes sense for them to make it available.

Heck, they already have it for Indian Motorcycles!

I was expecting to see it in the 2017 model Slingshot. Was surprised it didn't make it in this years model. Betting the 2018 model will have it and wondering if anyone heard any rumors or anything. Hopefully in all models but the base model and not just the SLR.

You all think that Polaris Ride Command will ever make it into the Slingshot? Wish they had navigation as a standard option. Hate to pay 25k for one and turn around and have to put another few hundred or so in for a new stereo. Be nice having carplay as an option though and probably best to do that in the end anyway with putting in another stereo or start off with the base model slingshot and customize. I'd like to get the Midnight Cherry edition though. Be curious what the 2018 models will have. I'm not a Polaris fan as I question their build quality and see the same constant recalls with the slingshot, so a little worried about that and almost stopping me from purchasing one. Sadly, I still want one....lol

Congrats! I have been debating on doing the same! I want the Midnight Cherry model, but the financing sucks on that model. Probably wait till next year, hopefully they won't have a better color that I like over the Midnight Cherry model. In my area there are two used models like yours for 25k with 1500 miles on them. Thinking about those, but not sure!
